Hi! I saw on one of your polls that you included Noa Olivar from Pretty Little Liars Original sin, would I be ale to send a request for that Fandom? I just wanted to ask bc I didn't see it in your list for who you write for
-🍒
Hey! Thank you so much for asking. I used to write for PLL, but there just wasn't enough traction and I kind of lost inspiration. If you want to send in your request, I'll take a look at it and maybe add that character to my misc. masterlist if I can come up with a fic!

First Time | Hayley Raso x Matildas!Reader (18+) [Wednesday]
Summary: You and Hayley finally take the next step in your relationship when you are roomed together during a Matildas’ camp [r plays in the NWSL]
Warnings: bottom hayley, top reader, oral (hayley receiving), she’s a tease lol
WC: 3.2k
AN: Ignore that I've used the same title for a different fic with the same plot, I could not for the life of me come up with something different 💀
Night After Night masterlist
You huffed as you opened the hotel door that led to the room you’d be staying in for the next few days in Sydney, dropping to the bed the moment you sat your things by the unclaimed bed. Ever since you got called up to the Matildas, the traveling had yet to get easier given you had to fly in from America. You got in later than most of your teammates minus those who also played in the NWSL so you had the room to yourself at the moment, though you could tell whoever your roommate was was already in camp.
You didn’t look too hard at the belongings on the other side of the room, though if you had you would have realized you were rooming with your girlfriend. You and Hayley had been dating since the start of the World Cup last year and with the long distance between Spain and America, Tillies camp offered you a short time together.
Because of the long distance, you two have yet to take the next step in your relationship. You two had made small comments about it happening at the next camp if you were roomed together but it seemed the staff were out to get you as you were never paired together. But now, everything was falling into place for you and your girlfriend to finally have sex.
You sat up on the bed and sighed as you stretched your arms, the long flight was starting to catch up to you. You took some time to make yourself a little more comfortable in the room and put some clothes away before heading to the bathroom to get ready for bed. You opted out of the small team bonding session since you got in so late and needed to sleep enough for training the next morning.
Just as you exited the bathroom, the hotel door opened, making you jump slightly at the unexpectedness. You recognized Hayley immediately despite her having her back facing you as she carried on the conversation she was having with Ellie and Teagan. An idea popped into your head when she remained in the doorway and had yet to notice you were so close.
You caught Ellie’s eye and quickly raised a finger to your lips to ‘shh’ her which earned you a small smirk from the blonde. You stuck your hands out to grab her waist, yelling slightly as your hands touched her. A yell left her lips as she quickly turned, catching you with a bright smile on your face.
“What was that for,” the winger groaned, earning loud laughter from your teammates in the hallway. “Dickhead,” she mumbled as she hit your arm before turning to tell Ellie and Teagan goodnight.
You laughed as she passed you but followed her toward the beds. Before you could process it, Hayley’s arms were around your neck as she pulled you into a tight hug. You wrapped your arms around her body, holding her close to you as you rested your forehead on her shoulder. You lifted your head slightly until your eyes were locked with her before they dropped slightly to land on her lips.
Hayley moved her hands to rest on the sides of your neck before pulling you in for a long kiss. You hated playing in different leagues in two different counties, being long-distance sucked but you two made it work. You cherished the time you got to spend together during camps and wouldn't take it for granted.
Your lips moved against hers slowly as you pulled her as close as you could to your body. Your lips fought each other before Hayley pulled back when air became an issue. You leaned forward in an attempt to chase her, wide eyes and your chest heaving slightly as you did so.
“I didn’t know you were here already,” she mumbled as she moved a hand to rest on your chest, her eyes still lingering on your lips.
“I got in not that long ago and came straight here to get ready for bed,” you explained, your thumbs rubbing circles against her clothes where they rested around her waist.
“Give me a minute and I’ll join you,” she cooed as her hands ran down your arms to rest on your wrists. You reluctantly let go and moved to let her get her things to change. You jokingly rolled your eyes and laughed softly when she made her way to the bathroom to change, knowing you’d seen her change countless times before and after games.
You returned to the bed you first sat on, this time moving to get under the cover as you waited for Hayley. You quickly set an alarm for the next morning before placing your phone on the charge on the nightstand between both beds. The forward joined you a few moments later, quickly tossing her clothes into her suitcase before joining you in bed.
You opened your arm to let her rest her head on your chest, your arm wrapping around her once she was comfortable. Your eyes fought to stay open, knowing you didn’t get much time to spend with your girlfriend. “We have all camp, y/n/n,” Hayley whispered softly as if she could read your thoughts.
You placed a quick kiss on the top of her head before your eyes closed, muttering a small ‘I love you’ before sleep took over. Hayley whispered it back even though she knew you were out and she wasn’t far behind you.
You moaned softly when your alarm blared in the morning, light peeking in from the curtains, helping to wake you up. Sometime in the middle of the night, the two of you moved around and ended up in a spooning position, your arm resting softly on Hayley's waist. You were the first to wake up, turning slightly to snooze your alarm before it could wake the forward.
You turned back around and moved her hair slightly away from her neck and the side of her face. You leaned forward before placing soft kisses along her cheek before dropping a few to her jaw on your way to her neck. “Baby,” you murmured against her neck in an effort to wake her up.
Hayley whined softly as she woke up, but that didn’t stop your light kisses. Her soft whine turned into a low moan when you sucked a bit harder on her neck, a small hickey to form in its place later. She rolled onto her back, forcing you to pull away from her neck before she was moving to straddle your hips.
The forward pulled you by the front of your shirt into a sitting position as her lips locked with yours. This kiss was different than any other make-out you two had, it felt needier as her hands tilted your head slightly to make the angle better for her. Hayley pulled back slightly, lifting her shirt in the process and tossing it to the unoccupied bed, leaving her top half completely bare.
Her lips were back on yours before you realized and you moved your hands to her bare waist, earning a small gasp from her at the feeling of your cool hands on her body. You two were too in your own world, lips fighting for dominance though neither of you really winning. Her hips rolled softly against you as you held her tightly.
You were rudely interrupted when your alarm went off again after the short snooze, both of you pulled back in surprise at the loud noise. You fumbled with your phone as you turned the alarm off completely this time before dropping it back to the nightstand. You refocused your attention on your girlfriend as you forced your eyes away from her bare chest. You licked your lips as you locked eyes with Hayley, both of you slightly out of breath from the kiss.
She smirked slightly as she watched you catch yourself looking down, doing your best to avoid looking any lower. “We should probably get ready, baby,” she teased, earning a fast nod from you which made her smirk grow. She was going to have so much teasing you today.
She moved off of you and reached for her shirt that she tossed, taking her time to put it back on. Just as she turned to face you, you quickly jerked your head to the front, your face heating up knowing you’d been caught. Hayley kept her reaction to herself but leaned in to give you a quick kiss before grabbing her training kit and heading to the bathroom.
When you hear the door close, you fall back to the pillow with a quiet groan. You weren’t sure how you would function being in the same room with her for the entire camp. After a quick breather, you got up to change as well, taking your time to calm yourself down. Just as you finish slipping your shoes on, Hayley exits the bathroom and joins you at the edge of the bed to put her shoes on as well.
You lean back on your hands as you watch her, your eyes subconsciously dropping to shamelessly scan her body. Hayley turned her head in your direction, raising an eyebrow as she sat up fully. “Y’know, if you take a picture, it’ll last longer,” she teased as she stood up, offering her hand to pull you from the bed.
You laugh softly at her comment but opt to give her a quick kiss as a response. You both moved to grab your bags and phones before heading out into the hallway and down the hall toward the conference room being used by the team for breakfast. You two walked hand-in-hand, swinging your interlocked hands between with bright smiles on your face. As you enter the conference room, teasing comments fly your way from your teammates earning an eye roll from Hayley and a middle finger from you.
Breakfast was uneventful aside from Kyra pranking Steph and Caitlin, both of who are used to the young midfielder’s jokes. The bus ride was filled with laughter from most of the team as Alanna made everyone use a TikTok filter to pass the time. You kept to yourself as you laced your boots in the locker room, more focused on doing your best to prove you should start in the upcoming match against England.
You looked up as you finished tying your boots, catching Hayley’s eye who was sitting right across from you. The forward winked at you before she stood up, you quickly hid your face from her so she wouldn’t see your reaction but she didn’t need to see your face to know she affected you. The team quickly finished getting ready and slowly started filtering out of the locker room and you made an effort to be one of the first ones out to avoid any more teasing from your girlfriend.
Once everyone was on the pitch, the training staff handed out warm-up instructions and sent everyone on a jog around the pitch to get everyone's legs moving. You did your best to stay away from Hayley but she seemed to be everywhere you were. After warm-ups, everyone was divided into small groups, and at first, you were thankful you weren't in the same group as Hayley. That is until one of the trainers said you’d be playing a small scrimmage and your group would be against Hayley’s first.
You knew as a defender you had to do everything you could to keep her from scoring and she was going to do anything she could to get past you. For the most part, your team kept possession and you didn’t have to deal with Hayley but that was until her side won possession and she had taken off down your side. You kept up with her the whole time but when she smirked and sent another wink your way, you misread her step and she managed to get around you. You sighed thankfully when Teagan saved her shot but that didn’t make you feel any better.
“Better luck next time, yeah,” the forward teased when she walked past you, despite not scoring she was still proud of herself for distracting you.
You sent her a glare that had no malice behind it and moved to the sidelines as the next two groups took the pitch. You took a seat to catch your breath and a water bottle came into your vision, your girlfriend standing above you. “Thanks,” you huffed as you took the bottle and turned the bottle to pour water into your mouth.
Hayley chuckled to herself as she took a seat next to you, practically invading your personal space. Her hand moved to rest on your thigh and you had to fight from flexing the muscle under her touch. She was making it her mission to tease you as much as she could during training and she was succeeding. You needed training to go by faster than it was but to your dismay, it seemed to drag on for eternity.
When Tony finally called it a day hours later, you were thankful. You could only handle so much teasing from Hayley mixed with the demanding training. You spent little time changing your shoes and were back on the bus before anyone could realize you had left the locker room. You sat in your seat by the window with your head tilted back against the seat as you took deep breaths. Mainly from how much running you just did but also because of how turned on you were by your girlfriend.
Your teammates started filling the bus and you could see Hayley’s teasing smirk as she walked down the aisle. You didn’t meet her eye when she dropped to the seat next to you despite her waiting for you to look at her. She laughed to herself when you didn’t budge and gave your thigh a light squeeze before joining in a conversation with Steph and Mary.
You were quiet the whole ride back to the bus, your thoughts racing with different images that had your skin on fire. You swallowed lightly when the bus pulled up to the hotel and you were pulled from your thoughts when Hayley grabbed your hand. You let her pull you off the bus and to the elevator, her squeezing your hand every so often.
You needed the two of you to be behind closed doors as soon as possible but of course, the elevator was taking its sweet time. You sighed softly when you were finally headed up to the team’s floor, your hand still tightly interlocked with Hayley's. You had to hold back a groan when she purposely missed the electronic lock with the hotel key, knowing she was doing it to get a reaction out of you.
As soon as the door was opened, you were pushing both of you through the threshold, and all but slammed the door shut behind you. You threw your kit bag to the floor and pulled her’s off her shoulder to join yours. Before she could realize what was happening, her back was pressed to the wall next to the bathroom door, your lips locked with hers in a heated kiss. Your hands pulled at her clothes as your lips easily won their fight for dominance.
Hayley moaned into the kiss and you picked her up, her legs wrapping around your waist as you moved into the room. You lightly dropped her on the bed that had since been made by housekeeping, hovering your body over hers as you moved your lips to her neck. This time you left harsher kisses, leaving deep marks along her skin as you did so.
Her head fell back against the pillows as you pushed her shirt up her body, pulling back slightly to lift it over her head. With her shirt out of the way, you had more access to her bare body to leave more bruise-like marks. You moved your lips back to hers as you ran a finger under the waistband of her sports bra, a sign that you wanted it off her.
You sat back some to give her room to take it off which she quickly did and you back in a similar situation to the one you were in this morning. This time though, you didn’t hide your eyes as you stared at her naked torso. You placed a few kisses in between her breasts as you kissed down her body, pushing the remaining articles of clothing to her ankles, which she kicked to the floor.
You left deep kisses along her hip before placing a few on the inside of her thigh, earning a low moan as one of her hands tangled in your hair. You could tell how turned on she was from her teasing as well once you moved your head slightly, now face to face with her wet cunt. You placed small kisses on her sensitive clit, and a loud gasp fell from Hayley’s lips as her back arched off the bed.
You ran your tongue through her dripping folds, her grip on your hair tightening as she pushed you closer to her. You hooked one hand around her thigh, the other trailing upwards to grope her breast, pulling her hardened nipple slightly.
“F-fuck,” Hayley stuttered as you sped up your movements, your nose hitting her clit each time you licked up. You looked up between her legs, meeting her eye just as she looked down at you. A loud moan escaped her lips when you locked eyes, her hips bucking slightly as you pleasure her.
“Please,” she begged, her hips bucking ever more as she was brought closer to her release. “I’m so-,” a loud moan interrupted her as you sucked her clit, pulling back with a small ‘pop.’
You kept your movements consistent as you fucked her, your grip on her thigh tightening as her back arched even higher. With a few more rough thrusts of your tongue, Hayley moaned loudly as she came all over your mouth. You kept going, helping her through her orgasm before she pulled slightly on your hair.
You pulled away from her before moving back up to give her a long kiss. You both moaned at the taste of her on your lips, your tongue slipping past her lips. You pulled back to let you both breathe, it was your turn to wear the teasing smirk.
“Next time, don’t trip me up like that, baby,” you taunted, leaning down to give her one more kiss.
Before you could process, she had the two of you flip, in the same position from this morning. “If this is how you react, I should do it more often,” she smirked as she pulled your shirt over your head.
You let her have her way with you, happy to finally have taken the next step with her. Though you both seemingly forgot you were still in camp for a bit until you joined the team for dinner later on in the evening, necks covered in hickies. You two heard more teasing from your teammates at dinner than you could have ever imagined.

might just love you 'til the end

post... that match. a bit of angst, mostly fluff. alexia is not pleased after her performance against chelsea. you aren't quite sure what she needs from you. you decide to give her space, but that isn't really what she needs. alexia tells you... eventually.
-------
It was a long day, a tiring and difficult match, and Alexia probably would have resorted to one of her coping mechanisms, if she hadn’t missed that last shot on goal. It seemed to take something out of her, and even from your place sitting on the bench, you could see how angry she was acting. Underneath that, though, you could tell that she was really just disappointed in herself.
Watching her blink back tears as she made her way around the pitch was almost too much for you. You wanted nothing more than to grab her hand, pull her into the tunnel, and hug her until she wasn’t sad anymore. You knew better than to try to comfort her now, though. Alexia hated nothing more than seeming weak, especially in front of the team. Anything she needed or wanted from you would have to wait until you both got home. And even then, you weren’t sure what to expect. Sometimes she’d just shut down after a bad game, go to sleep, and wake up with a new passion the next morning. Sometimes she’d shut down, but her fury at herself would linger for days. Very rarely did she talk about it. Only when she really reached her breaking point, which was admittedly a lot harder to reach than other people’s were, would she let you make her feel better.
It wasn’t necessarily a healthy array of options that she normally went with, but you couldn’t argue that it didn’t work. It worked for Alexia, and that was what was important. Even if giving her space until she asked for something else hurt, you knew it was what she needed.
She acted pretty much how you expected her to as you both made your way into the locker room and headed for the showers. The blonde gave you nothing more than a high five and a weak smile, before she launched herself into her post match routine. You did the same, icing various parts of your body that hurt after a rather physical game. You kept your eyes on your girlfriend, though, watching the hollow way she brushed through her hair and the mechanical way she laced up her shoes. You were done before her, sitting in your locker looking at your phone, trying to figure out how bad the social media situation was going to be for her, when her white nikes appeared in front of you. You looked up at her with a smile, though it fell slightly when you took in the completely emotionless look on her face. She’d shut down, then, like you’d expected her to. You knew it was coming, but it didn’t make it easier that she wouldn’t let you help.
“¿Lista?” She asked roughly, not meeting your eyes.
“Yeah, let’s go.” You replied, getting to your feet, grabbing your bag, and giving Mapi a reassuring look from where she sat waiting for Ingrid to be ready to go. You knew your girlfriend’s best friend worried about her, and that she had tried to talk to her after the match, but it hadn’t really gone anywhere. You were surprised when, as soon as you were out of the locker room and had walked a ways down the hall, Alexia dropped her bag to the ground and pulled you into a tight hug.
You returned the hug, sighing into her shoulder, feeling her bury her face in your slightly damp hair. The hug was for you, you could tell. To make you feel better, even when Alexia wouldn’t allow you to do anything to make her feel better. She held herself a bit tensely, and when she pulled away, her eyes searched yours, her worry clear on her face.
“Te amo,” she whispered, pressing a light kiss to your cheek. “I am proud of you, always.”
“I love you, Ale,” you replied, a thousand more words on the tip of your tongue. You wanted to tell her you were proud of her, too, that it wasn’t her fault, that she didn’t need to deal with today all by herself, but you knew she wouldn’t accept it right now. Instead, you grabbed her hand in yours and squeezed tightly.
The captain kept her hand in yours as you both walked to her car, and though you expected her to pull away from the contact, you were glad that she was letting herself have something to make herself feel better. The car ride home was silent, and you predicted the rest of the night to be the same.
------
You knew to let Alexia deal with it how she dealt with it, but you did put your foot down on a couple things. When she headed right for the couch, going to put the match replay on the TV and take notes, you shook your head, taking the remote out of her hand.
“Not tonight. It won’t make you feel better.”
“I have to watch,” she argued, but you cut her off.
“You can watch tomorrow. Tonight we are going to watch a movie, order dinner, and go to bed early.”
“Amor,” Alexia sighed, her brow furrowed, no doubt thinking about how she could convince you to let her do this.
You switched tactics, knowing there was one sure way to get your girlfriend to agree with you. “Please? For me? I don’t want to watch that again right now.”
The blonde softened, nodding her head at you. Satisfied, you flopped down on the couch next to her, grabbing her arm and draping it over your shoulder.
Alexia smiled despite herself, leaving a soft kiss on the top of your head. She was still practically silent as you picked out a movie, but she pulled you close to her, slipping her hand up the front of your shirt and  running her thumb back and forth across your skin.
Even if she was only letting this happen because she thought she was comforting you, it was still better than nothing. Better than the rare occasions that she’d sleep on the couch, almost as a punishment for herself when she didn’t perform the way she thought she should’ve. The blonde had gotten better since getting together with you, mostly because you pointed out the inconsistencies in how she treated you after a rough game, and how she treated herself. Some rough days sent her spiraling back to her bad habits, though, and you were glad you could pull her away from those, at least for today.
-------
“Cariño,” Alexia whispered, jostling you slightly. “Let’s go to bed, vale?”
“Hmm?” You mumbled, barely opening your eyes. “‘M not asleep.”
“Oh, sure. You are just watching the movie with your eyes closed?”
“Sí,” you sighed, turning against her slightly until your head was laid on her chest. It vibrated under you as she laughed, and the sound woke you a bit more, glad to hear something even remotely joyful come out of your girlfriend’s mouth.
“Venga, amor, it is time for bed.” She insisted, gently sitting up and easing you into an upright position. You pouted at her, wishing the smile on her face would reach her eyes. When it didn’t, you rose from the couch, grabbing Alexia’s hand, and pulling her towards the bedroom.
You both made quick work of your nighttime routines, and you were glad to slide into the bed, undeniably exhausted from the physically and emotionally draining day. Alexia slipped in next to you, though she didn’t really get comfortable; she remained halfway sat up, staring at the ceiling above her. You tucked yourself into her side, burrowing under the covers until you were surrounded by soft fabric and Alexia’s sweatshirt. She seemed wide awake, and you laced your fingers with her, rubbing your thumb comfortingly along the back.
“Sleep, baby. You need rest. Everything will feel better in the morning.” Alexia nodded mechanically, giving you a half smile that you didn’t buy for a second, before her eyes fluttered shut. “I love you. You’re my favorite person.” You whispered.
She opened her eyes again at your words, softening slightly. She turned on her side and pulled you into her chest, wrapping you up tightly in her arms. “Te amo, mi niña, eres perfecta.” She whispered.
-------
You fell asleep easily. Alexia, evidently, had not. You realized this when you rolled over in the middle of the night, seeking out your girlfriend to curl up against, and only felt cold sheets next to you.
It woke you up, and you opened your eyes, in your sleepy haze worried Alexia had gotten sick or something. You looked around the room, and towards the bathroom, but no lights were on. You sat up in the bed, forcing yourself to wake up more. Once you had thought about it for a minute, you had a sneaking suspicion about where your girlfriend had disappeared to in the middle of the night. You grabbed your phone from the nightstand, checking Alexia’s location, and sure enough, her little profile picture was at a park a few blocks away. It had a football pitch, and Alexia sometimes slipped away there when she wanted to clear her head, but not deal with seeing people she knew at the Barça training ground.
You dragged yourself out of bed, even though you had half a mind to call Ale’s mom and get Eli to deal with her, knowing she could scold her daughter much more effectively than you could. It was the middle of the night, though, and you knew that Alexia may need a softer approach. You weren’t really sure what headspace she’d be in when you found her, and it was at this thought that you began to move faster, pulling on joggers and a shirt, and rushing down the stairs. You could visualize what she’d be doing, taking shot after shot on goal, but you couldn’t figure out how she’d be acting. Upset, or sad, or angry, or still completely blank. You grabbed your car keys, not really wanting to waste a second longer than possible by walking to where Alexia was, although it wasn’t far.
It only took a few minutes to arrive, and you pulled into the parking lot with your attention completely fixed on the figure across the park, running down the pitch with a ball at her feet. As you got closer, you took in how exhausted Alexia looked, as if she’d been at this for hours.
“Ale?” You called, finally arriving at the pitch and trying to get your girlfriend’s attention from the sidelines. She didn’t look over at you, too caught up in her own thoughts, trying to angle her shot in just right.
You moved closer, and finally she saw you, just out of the corner of her eye. She stopped what she was doing, turning to face you. “Amor?” She questioned. “What are you doing here?”
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at her question. “Really? You’re asking me what I’m doing here?” Your girlfriend had the decency to look slightly embarrassed. “It’s the middle of the night, Alexia. What are you doing?”
“I could not fall asleep.” Alexia told you, walking over to you, her ball abandoned behind her.
“Why didn’t you wake me?” You asked, brushing a few pieces of flyaway hair off her forehead. She melted into your touch, her body slouching down towards you, giving you even more of an idea of how exhausted she was.
“I wanted you to rest.” She said quietly, and it was a perfectly believable explanation, but for some reason you had a feeling that there was more to it than that. You fixed her with a look, raising one eyebrow. The blonde sighed again, grabbing your hand in hers. “Can we go home?”
“Only if you promise to talk to me when we get there. Otherwise I’ll make you stand in goal while I shoot.” You teased, happy to see a small smile on your girlfriend’s completely drained face.
“Promise.” She said, giving your hand a squeeze as you both began to walk towards the park exit.
-------
You sent Alexia to shower upon arriving home, sitting on the couch until she was done, absolutely sure that if you got back in bed, you’d instantly fall back asleep. Alexia very timidly walked out of the bathroom 20 minutes later, all bundled up in a sweatshirt and sweatpants even though it was rather warm out.
Alexia looked weirdly nervous as she sat down next to you, her eyes everywhere but on yours. She reached for your hand very hesitantly, relaxing slightly when you intertwined your fingers with hers easily.
“What’s wrong, Ale?” You asked.
“I am sorry about today. Really sorry, amor.”
You opened your mouth, prepared to tell her that you forgave her for sneaking away in the middle of the night instead of waking you up, but you stopped when you looked at her closer, and found tears in her eyes. Something about the way she’d phrased it, too, that she was sorry about ‘today,’ didn’t sit right with you.
“What are you sorry about?” You asked, frowning when Alexia chewed on her lower lip instead of answering.
“I disappointed you today.” She said finally.
“Alexia,” you rushed to contradict her, but she cut you off.
“No, I know I did. I am sorry, I will do better, mi amor, I promise.”
“Love, you did not disappoint me.” You insisted, cradling your girlfriend’s cheek and wiping away a stray tear. She shrugged, like she didn’t believe you. “You could never disappoint me, Alexia, especially not by missing a shot. Why do you think that?”
Her eyes flicked up to yours, finding only sincerity there, as she took a deep breath, and spoke. “I told you I was proud of you.” Alexia mumbled, her cheeks flushing. “You did not say it back. And you normally give me a hug after matches in the locker room, but you did not, not until I hugged you.”
You were sure you felt your heart crack in two. “Baby, I’m so sorry.” You said, reaching to pull her into a hug. She shrugged out of your grasp, though, and you were furious with yourself in that moment.
“You do not need to be sorry, I understand.” She said, albeit rather miserably, looking so angry and upset with herself, when she really should have been directing that at you.
“No, Alexia, look at me.” You insisted, gently tilting her head to look at you. She was barely holding back tears, her lip wavering sadly. “Oh, my love. I didn’t say it back because I didn’t think you’d want to hear it. You never listen after rough games, I was trying to let you have your feelings for the night, and then try to make you feel better tomorrow. I didn’t think you’d want comfort, Alexia, not today. I am so proud of you, Alexia. Every day, I am proud of you, especially today. You did everything you could do, I know that. It just wasn’t our day. Estoy tan orgullosa de ti.” You emphasized.
Alexia nodded slowly, but you could tell she didn’t fully believe you.
“Would you ever be disappointed with me for missing a shot?” You asked, slightly amused when the blonde whipped her head up to look at you, a frown set on her features.
“No. Never.” Alexia said quickly, appalled at even the idea.
You smiled at her sadly. “Can you not imagine that I feel the same way about you, Ale? That I love you just as much as you love me?
Your girlfriend swallowed roughly, reaching to pull you into her lap, and into a hug. You let her manhandle you the way she wanted, wrapping your arms around her and kissing the side of her head repeatedly once she grabbed on to you.
“It is hard to believe sometimes. It is… too good to be true. That you love me like I love you. I do not always feel like I deserve it. Especially when I am grumpy all day after we lose, and I sneak out of our bed, and make you come find me in the middle of the night.” Alexia said, her voice dripping with insecurity.
You pulled back just slightly, pressing your forehead to Alexia’s, threading your fingers through her hair. “You always deserve it. Always, Alexia. And I would get out of bed in the middle of the night to come find you every day if you needed me too. I’d get on a plane in the middle of the night and fly halfway across the world to find you, if that’s what you needed.” You whispered, leaning forward to press your lips to Alexia’s.
She kissed you back, hard, trying to tell you how much everything you’d said meant to her.
“I’d rather not, but I’d do it.” You mumbled against her mouth, feeling her smile against your own lips.
“Okay.” She said finally, and it was clear to you that she believed you a bit more now, and that she’d believe you even more tomorrow. “I will keep my fleeing of the country to a minimum.”
You laughed. “Good. Because I want to go to bed.”
Alexia nodded enthusiastically, rising up off the couch with you held securely in her arms. “Me too.”
She carried you towards the bedroom, already physically more relaxed than she’d been all day.
“If you set an alarm for the morning, I will make you sleep at the park tomorrow night.” You told her, letting out a rather undignified squeak when she gently threw you down on the bed.
She smiled at you mischievously, her bad day completely forgotten. How could she think about her performance when you were so perfect, and so pretty, and she was so tired.
“No alarm.” She promised, turning her light off and collapsing onto the bed next to you. It had been a mistake, not waking you up before. Because when you pulled her into you and began to scratch lightly at her back, she went completely limp, and she knew you were all she needed to fall asleep. Alexia didn’t need to practice her shots until her legs were numb. She just needed to lay her head on your chest and hear your heartbeat in her ear, and she’d remember that everything would be okay.
------
hope you enjoyed :)

I just think TTPD is not an album you can understand and fully digest in one listen or even a few listens and that's what makes it so great. It is accessible in terms of its melodies and high-level storytelling but the lyrical details are poetic and complex. I'm really just so excited to spend a lot of time with this album.

Tumblr media
r has never been one for physical contact. she doesn't realize what she's missing until she does. barça x touch starved reader
-------
Your teammates had figured it out pretty early on. You didn’t like to be touched. It wasn’t personal, and it wasn’t something you really liked to acknowledge. It was obvious, though, in the way you tensed up whenever anyone went to hug you, or the way you sidestepped the bulk of the celebrations on the pitch. You didn’t like physical contact, and that was fine. Your teammates could respect it, even if it wasn’t what they were used to at all. The majority of them were Spanish, after all.
It never occurred to anyone that perhaps you didn’t dislike physical contact, you just weren’t used to it. At all. You’d grown up in an incredibly not affectionate household. Your parents didn’t hug you, and you never learned anything different from that. It was hardly your only issue with them, and it didn’t even occur to you to consider it an issue.
You’d felt like this your whole life. You thought everyone did. You thought everyone felt this empty space inside of them, longing for something you just couldn’t quite put your finger on. You ignored the way that the infrequent pats on the back and high fives seemed to frustrate this part of you more. You decided it was a negative reaction to touch, rather than one that begged for more.
Like everyone, though, you had a breaking point. And you’d been approaching it for a long time.
------
It wasn’t enough that you’d had an international break from hell, losing both matches despite you running yourself into the ground for a win.
It wasn’t enough that you had to see your parents over the break. It wasn’t enough that they were uncaring and dismissive of everything you said, that they treated seeing you like an obligation rather than something they were excited about.
It had been a long couple weeks, to say the least. And yet, everything you’d dealt with apparently wasn’t enough.
As the defender plowed into you again, you wondered what you’d done to deserve this. No one had left you alone today. You’d been violently tackled, shoved, pulled, and stepped on more times than you could count today and you were at your limit. Everyone could see it, too, in the way you robotically got to your feet, blinking hard, trying to brush off this blow too.
You missed Jona’s eyes on you, and the looks he exchanged with his coaching staff. You were supposed to play the full 90, and it was only the 70th minute. It was clear, though, that you couldn’t take any more battering, not that you’d ever admit that.
When you heard the whistle signaling the subs were allowed to come on, you looked over, a bit surprised to see your number on the screen. You should have been relieved, probably, but you couldn’t help but feel like you were letting the team down. You jogged off, accepting the high fives Mariona offered you, though you ignored the way the contact almost brought you to tears right there.
You walked over to Jona, as he’d called you over, even though you wanted nothing more than to disappear into the locker room and have a few minutes to yourself.
“Are you okay?” He asked kindly. “Do you need to get checked out?”
“No, I’m fine. Just a bit sore.” You dismissed.
Jona sent you a sympathetic smile. “You can head back in if you want. Let someone know if you need ice.”
With that, you turned towards the locker room and headed inside. The next hour was something of a blur. You showered and got dressed, before heading out to the bus. You were quick enough that you didn’t have to interact with any of your teammates, and theoretically, you could have let yourself have a few moments. Something inside of you wouldn’t allow that, though. You were forcing yourself not to cry on instinct, but the more you sat by yourself, the worse you felt. About yourself, about how you’d been playing. Everything. It was overwhelming, and the minutes sped by until it could have been minutes or hours. You didn’t really care how long it had been. You just wanted to go home, so you could feel what you needed to feel, all by yourself, like you were supposed to.
-------
You were too wrapped up in your thoughts, and trying not to cry, to notice that your teammates had started to file onto the bus. Esmee headed for you, both of you preferring to sit in silence on the way back from matches, while some of your teammates preferred to be a bit louder. As she got closer, though, she noticed the way you were sitting, all curled into yourself, practically a ball in your seat, and the way your entire body seemed tense. You were good friends, you and Esmee, but the girl felt wholly unequipped to deal with how upset you seemed. Thinking for a minute, she decided someone else would be able to deal with this better, so she turned around, ignoring the odd looks she got from everyone she’d passed on her way back to you.
Esmee was still rather shy with the older girls, although they’d been nothing but nice to her. Even though she felt a little awkward, she walked right over to where Alexia was sitting, chatting quietly with Patri.
“Alexia?” She said quietly, not wanting to interrupt the question but not really sure that she had any other choice.
The captain turned to her, though, always a bit amused by how nervous she made Esmee, but always careful to not make her feel bad about it. “Hola Esmee.” Alexia greeted with a smile.
“Hola,” Esmee replied. She looked back at you anxiously, and followed her gaze, sitting up a bit in the seat to look back at you, too. “Um… something isn’t right with her. She seems really upset. I didn’t really know…”
Alexia’s brows furrowed, mentally cursing herself for not thinking to check on you before now. The team had noticed how tense and off you’d seemed after the international break, but they thought you’d relax after a game back with the team. Clearly not.
“Thank you, Esmee, I’ll check on her, vale?”
Esmee nodded gratefully, stepping aside to let Alexia out of her seat, taking an empty one across the aisle. She appreciated that Patri gave her a quiet compliment on the game she’d had, before pulling out her phone, and allowing Esmee the silence that the Spaniard knew she always sought after a match.
-------
You were still completely oblivious, starting to get a little worried that you were going to cry right there on that bus, as opposed to once you’d arrived home, like you wanted. Crying in front of your teammates was the last thing you wanted to do, but you knew you weren’t going to be able to avoid it when Alexia slid into the seat next to you.
“Pequeña? What’s going on?” Alexia asked softly, noticing the way you refused to meet her eyes, your gaze fixed on your hands fidgeting in your lap.
You shrugged, for a minute unable to speak in fear that a sob would escape instead of words. “Long day.” You managed eventually.
Alexia nodded slowly. “Long couple weeks, no?”
“Yeah.” You said, clearing your throat as your voice cracked rather pathetically.
“Can I do anything?” Alexia asked almost helplessly. You looked so upset, so fragile, and she wasn’t sure how to help without touching you. She knew she always liked a hug after a rough day, but you were so different, and normally shied away from contact like that.
“I don’t know.” You said, wiping roughly at your face as a few tears escaped, the kindness from your captain not helping you keep it together. You wanted her to be able to help, but you weren’t confident she’d be able to.
“Do you want some space?” Alexia asked, even if the idea of leaving you alone like this made her want to cry herself.
You were used to dealing with your emotions yourself, but somehow, at the moment, you weren’t really embarrassed that Alexia was seeing you like this. You weren’t quite sure what you wanted, but you knew you didn’t want her to go. “No, please stay.”
“Nena… can I give you a hug?” Alexia asked after a minute, in a way that made it clear she wouldn’t be upset no matter how you responded.
What did you have to lose at this point? You were pretty sure you couldn’t feel worse. So, for once, you did the opposite of what you thought you should do, and nodded hesitantly.
It was instinctual for Alexia, and surprisingly for you, too. You were tense for just a second when she wrapped her arms around you, gently pulling you in closer to her. After a second, though, your body seemed to move of its own accord, completely melting into the arms of your captain.
You were crying before you could stop yourself, clinging tightly onto Alexia’s sweatshirt. It wasn’t bad crying, per say. It was cathartic. You thought briefly that this was the safest and most comforted you’d ever felt. Still, you tried to keep the volume down, not wanting to attract attention to the fact that you were sobbing into your captain’s sweatshirt.
“It’s okay, nena, just let it out.” Alexia whispered, her chin resting on top of your head. She rubbed your back softly, hating the way you trembled against her. She’d never seen you this upset before, but the way you leaned into her told her that this had been coming for a while. It also told her that even though you acted like you hated being touched, that wasn’t the case. She wasn’t sure why you didn’t allow it to happen, but it was clear you had needed it. “You are safe, nena. You are okay.”
Her words felt like a soft blanket being wrapped around your shivering body, and you felt that empty space inside yourself feel full for the first time in a long time. Maybe ever.
It made her heart hurt that she hadn’t thought to check on you, really check on you these past couple weeks. She had assumed that because you never talked about how you were feeling, you didn’t need to. She’d never considered that you did want to, and need to, but you were too afraid to do so. She made herself a promise to keep a closer eye on you. And to give you more hugs.
Even when you’d stopped crying, and the bus had begun to move, Alexia didn’t let go. She kept you firmly in her arms, your head resting on her chest. You couldn’t bring yourself to pull away, either, even though you knew you should.
You couldn’t help but feel sad when the bus pulled into the Barça parking lot. You’d acted completely ridiculously, and something like this could never happen again. You weren’t a child, you were an adult. The thought of removing yourself from your captain’s arms, though, felt physically painful, and you almost wished it hadn’t happened in the first place. Because now you knew what you were missing, and it would be near impossible to not let yourself seek it out again in the future.
------
You showed up to the recovery session the next day on a mission. You were going to apologize to Alexia for what had happened yesterday, and promise that it wouldn’t happen again. You weren’t going to cry and you were not going to act any differently than normal. You couldn’t let anyone see you as this pathetic person who was barely hanging on. You were strong and capable and independent. You were an adult, and emotions were to be felt by yourself. Hugs were for children, you reminded yourself, and you hadn’t needed one of those in a while. Or maybe, you just hadn’t gotten one in a while. Regardless,  by the end of today, you were dead set on making sure everyone who saw you so upset yesterday would know that it was a one time occurrence.
Alexia had other plans. You really should have given up immediately upon seeing the determination on her face when she pulled you aside right before the film review session, but you were stubborn if nothing else, and you tried to remain as cool and calm as you could.
Even when she led you to one of the lounge areas, and took a seat on the couch next to you. Even when she squeezed your shoulder supportively, and all you wanted to do was launch yourself across the couch at her, and curl up against her like you had yesterday. You couldn’t. You couldn’t.
“I wanted to check on you after yesterday,” Alexia said gently, as if she knew you wanted to avoid this conversation. It didn’t matter that your captain hadn’t seemed to mind yesterday, your behavior still wasn’t okay, not at all.
“I’m sorry for how I acted. It won’t happen again.” You said stiffly, ignoring the sympathetic expression on Alexia’s face. It made her so sad that you felt you had to apologize for showing emotion.
“You do not need to be sorry.” Alexia said definitively. “You were upset, it is okay to be upset, pequeña.”
“I shouldn’t have cried in front of everyone, and I shouldn’t have made you sit with me.” You insisted.
The older woman frowned. “Why do you think either of those things were not okay?” Alexia wondered, choosing her words very carefully.
“I am an adult, Alexia, I am not supposed to act like a child.” You argued, not really sure what she wasn’t understanding.
Alexia knew she wasn’t the most emotionally available person, but she at least knew that it was okay to cry, and it was okay to need comfort sometimes. She wasn’t really sure why you didn’t seem to get that.
“I do not know who told you that crying and needing comfort is for children, but they are wrong. You can always come to me, or any of the girls, when you are upset, no matter what you need. None of us will think any less of you. We are teammates, and friends, and we are here for you. Understand?”
You were surprised at her words, and more surprised that they made sense. You knew who had told you those things, and you wondered why you had believed them on this, when you were normally so careful to take what they said with a grain of salt. Very suddenly, you realized you couldn’t remember the last time your parents had given you a hug, and things started to make more sense. It wasn’t an uncommon thing for you, realizing that something they had done was not normal, but this was a realization that made you a bit more emotional than the others.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to annoy anyone.” You replied quietly, looking down at your feet and away from Alexia’s kind eyes.
Your captain shook her head firmly. “You could never annoy us.”
Slowly, you nodded, accepting Alexia’s outstretched hand as she stood up and pulled you to your feet as well.
You moved to walk back to the media room, but Alexia pulled you back, a small smile on her face. “Hug?” She asked, opening her arms for you. “It has been a stressful day. One of my teammates does not understand how much we all love her and it makes me very sad.”
You rolled your eyes, feeling something deeply happy and hopeful bloom inside of you. You accepted the hug, falling into Alexia’s arms, squeezing her tightly. “She knows. I think she just forgets sometimes.” You murmured, your voice muffled in Alexia’s training top.
“Well, we will just have to remind her then, yes?” Alexia said, voice filled with determination.
And remind you, they did.
------
Their reminders, often unspoken squeezes of the shoulder and encouraging words, worked well. It wasn’t an immediate change, but rather a slow one. There were signs that you were opening up more. Everyone felt an inexplicable sense of pride when you did reach out to one of them, whether physically or more emotionally.
The first time was when Mapi returned to training with the team for the first time. She had greeted everyone with a hug, turning to you and holding up her hands for high fives. She had long accepted that you didn’t like to be hugged, and she’d been relatively absent in the time that had begun to change.
She was floored when you ignored her hands in favor of wrapping your arms around her in a tight hug. It only took a second before she was returning the gesture, though she looked in surprise towards Alexia, who just smiled back at her. Two big steps were taken that day, and Alexia wasn't sure she could pick which made her happier. You were sure that Mapi’s comeback was the highlight of the week for everyone, while Mapi was pretty sure your hugs brought good luck, because training went perfectly, for you two especially. Or maybe, the joy on both of your faces lit up the pitch, and made everyone play better. Happiness was odd like that, sometimes. Contagious and healing. Barça was a place of happiness, you decided. And of healing.
------
i know a lot of you were excited about this one, so i hoped it lived up to your expectations :)

Would you pls do a Mary earps imagine with them filming TikTok’s together and being otp x
Tumblr media
A/n: Not exactly what you asked for but close enough i think.
TikTok is the bane of your very existence.
It’s the bane of your professional life as a chef because everytime you turn around one of your crew is using prep time to make a concoction and upload it to that godforsaken app.
And in your personal life?
Well, in your personal life, it feels like every time you blink you're being sucked into filming one of those stupid videos with your girlfriend.
The first time it happened, you were barely even sure what was going on.
The two of you had been getting ready to go on a date to a relatively nice restaurant, when she pulled up in front of her phone’s camera so she could show off what you were wearing.
That had been the beginning of the madness (as well as a very hard launch of your relationship to the public).
It didn’t really matter what you were doing, if Mary had decided that a video needed to be filmed, it’d be filmed.
A literal walk in the park. TikTok.
You driving. TikTok.
You tearing a member of the kitchen staff a new one. TikTok. (Although she’d been asked not so politely by the head chef to never do that again).
You cooking in your shared flat. TikTok.
Hell, she even made a TikTok of you sharpening your knives, a task you find completely mind numbing.
And if having your every move recorded wasn’t bad enough, she also had you joining her in filming one of the more popular trends. You mouthing along to the silly sounds that are currently popular on the app. Or worse, dancing, you hate the dancing.
Asking how often you think about the Roman Empire (only as often as you need to).
Throwing herself fully clothed into the shower  and singing Taylor Swift while you were trying to brush your teeth.
Making you record a two second clip of everytime you changed clothes while on vacation.
The list is neverending.
Which is why you should be more alarmed when you see her walking into the kitchen  with her phone out but you’re too focused on chopping the vegetables you’ll be using in your meal prep.
 “Baby,” she says.
“Hmm?”
“Can we record a TikTok?”
“Can I keep doing what I’m doing,” you ask in return, still not looking up from the cutting board.
“You don’t need to do anything but stand there and look pretty,” Mary says as she sets her phone up next to you. “And answer questions,” she adds as an afterthought.
You roll your eyes but don’t make any additional comments as you see her hit record.
“So a ton of you have been asking in the comments how my wife manages to be a professional chef when she has so many food allergies,” Mary says, looking directly at the camera. “And I figured it was better if I just let her explain it. Babe?”
Admittedly, you hadn’t really been listening to every word that she had been saying, only really listening to every word that she had been saying, only really catching the words ‘allergies’ and ‘professional chef’, which is a topic you get asked about a lot. So you just answer without really thinking.
“My main allergies are seafood, peanuts and treenuts. And since I’m one of 2 or 3 sous on any given night, I just,” you pause, “wait, what did you just call me?”
You can feel cheeks heating up as your brain finally processes what just happened.
“What? Babe?”
Mary’s playing dumb on purpose. She knows it. You know it. And you both know that the other one knows.
“Not that, the other thing.”
“What my wife,” she asks.
A cheeky grin breaks out on Mary’s face as she watches even more color rush to your face.
For you, when she repeats it, you suddenly feel like you can barely breathe and you know that your next words come out a little choked (much to Mary’s amusement.)
“Yup, that.”
As calmly as you can manage, you put your knife down and take off your apron before walking out of the kitchen.
“Wait, where are you going?”
“I have to find my wallet and keys,” you shoot back.
“Why?”
“I gotta go buy a ring before you change your mind!”
The sound of her laughter is the only thing you hear as you close the door behind you.
The video is up on that cursed app by the end of the week.
A photo of the ring on Mary’s finger goes up just a few hours before.

amnesia - part 12 (ona batlle x alexia putellas x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part 1 / part 2 / part 3 / part 4 / part 5 / part 6 / part 7 / part 8 / part 9 / part 10 / part 11
a/n: sorry for the long wait, not much left now!
--------
The next morning, when you looked on your doorstep, you half expected to find Alexia or Ona stood there waiting. Instead, you found the usual pastry and drink, and couldn’t help but feel the smallest tinge of disappointment.
You’d been messaging both girls late into the night, about everything and anything, except for what had happened between the three of you. You knew you’d need to talk about it at some point, but for now, you just wanted things to be good. And so did they, by the looks of things. Accompanying the pastry and drink was a handwritten note from Ona, reading ‘Good morning chiqui! We hope you have a wonderful day today. Dinner is on us tonight x’. Interesting.
As you headed to your physio session, you tried to ignore the rising anticipation in your belly, the soft feeling of hope working its way through your body, eager to see the two women, but nervous as well. You didn’t even know if you would see them - there was a good chance they’d be outside for training, or in the gym, and so far all of your sessions had been in the smaller physiotherapy rooms.
When you arrived, the physiotherapist greeted you with an amused smile.
“You have some admirers,” she noted, nodding towards a beautiful bouquet of flowers that was resting in a vase. You couldn’t help but blush, rolling your eyes fondly at the gesture, already knowing who was behind it. “Today we’re in the gym, but you can leave your things here and we can get them when we’re done.”
“The gym?” you asked, surprised.
The physiotherapist nodded. “Yes. You’re making very good progress - you really only have minimal injuries considering what you went through, and we can move you to the real gym now. You should be able to go back to training with the others soon, maybe in a month or so. The biggest problem is the muscle atrophy from being in the coma, but once we get your body back to where it was before, you’ll be good to go.”
Your mouth hung open in shock, and your face suddenly felt very warm as you realised that tears were gathering in the corners of your eyes. You hadn’t expected to be back so soon, and you couldn’t wait to be able to train with the others again, to get out there and play football, the thing you loved more than anything else in the world.
As you walked to the gym, you wondered whether the rest of the team would also be in the gym or if they’d be outside. As you got closer, your question was answered - you could hear various sounds coming from the gym, shoes against treadmills, the thud of weights hitting the ground, but also the soft murmur of your teammates chatting, the occasional peal of laughter. That meant Ona and Alexia were probably there, too.
You took a deep breath before pushing open the door, trying to steel your nerves. At first, when you walked through, no one batted an eyelid, all preoccupied with their own routines. But then Mapi looked up, and yelled out your name.
“You’re back!” she grinned, running over to you. You felt a twinge of guilt, remembering that the two of you had been good friends before the accident, and that you’d been so caught up in everything going on with Ona and Alexia that you’d forgotten about your friendships with the other players. Soon enough you were surrounded by your teammates, including the two you were most nervous about seeing.
“I’m not back properly yet, but I’ve been promoted to physio in the gym, and I should be able to start training with you guys again in a month or so,” you told your teammates, blushing slightly at the attention you were getting. For some reason you couldn’t meet the two women’s eyes, too anxious about what you’d find there. The team let out cheers and whoops at your statement, people leaning over to ruffle your hair or give you hugs.
After a few minutes, the physiotherapist clapped her hands together. “Okay, okay, in order for her to be able to train with you again, she needs to get fit enough first, which she can only do if you all let her get on with her physio session in peace, okay?”
Your teammates chuckled and backed away. Only then did you look up at Ona and Alexia, who were watching you intently. Ona was biting her lip, a nervous frown etched into her forehead, whilst Alexia looked more stoic, trying hard not to let anyone see how desperate she had been to see you and how worried she was about you. When you met their eyes, you instantly felt calmer, the bundle of nerves in your stomach washed away and replaced by a soft pang of familiarity.
When you smiled at them, they both relaxed instantly, the line between Ona’s eyebrows melting away, Alexia’s eyes softening as she met yours. They smiled back, and you couldn’t help but think about how beautiful they both were, each in their own way.
As the physiotherapist went through your exercises your mind kept wandering, and you kept catching yourself looking over to where they were going through their workout, Alexia jogging on one of the treadmills, Ona over by the weights. Every so often they would look over at you and your eyes would meet, and you’d smile, blushing, and look away again quickly. It felt like having a crush for the first time.
You lingered when your session was over, reluctant to go so soon.
“Don’t forget, your things are in my office,” the physiotherapist reminded you with a knowing smile. “And don’t worry, we’ll be back tomorrow.”
At home, you put the bouquet in a vase, admiring the flowers. One looked slightly different to the others, but you couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Regardless, the bouquet was beautiful, and your stomach fluttered at the thought of the women buying you flowers.
By the time evening rolled around, you were starting to get hungry, and you wondered what Ona had meant by her note this morning. Just as you thought about messaging her to ask, the doorbell rang, and you opened it to find a delivery person holding a paper bag emblazoned with the logo of a nearby restaurant.
As you headed back inside your apartment, you took a quick picture of the bag and sent Ona a text.
[Y/N]: so this is what you meant with your note this morning :)
[Ona]: Yes!!
Along with her message was a picture. You recognised the background as her kitchen, and on the counter was a paper bag just like yours, the restaurant logo on the side.
[Ona]: Ale got food too, so we’re all eating together but apart :)
Warmth spread throughout your body, and you sent Alexia a quick message, sending her the same picture you’d sent Ona. As you opened the bag, your kitchen filled with the smell of food, and your stomach growled. You kept messaging both women as you ate, unable to deny the way your heart skipped a beat every time you received a new message from them, a smile glued to your face. By the time you fell into bed a few hours later, you’d exchanged hundreds of messages, and your cheeks hurt from smiling.
When you checked the front door the next morning, you were surprised to find a sweater next to the usual drink and pastry. Picking it up, you instantly recognised it as Ona’s, the one you would always borrow when you were at her place, the fabric soft between your fingers. You brought it up to your face and inhaled deeply, your lungs filling with the familiar scent of her perfume, and your mind filled with memories of the two of you.
You wore the sweater to your physio session, reluctant to take it off. When you arrived, the physio nodded over to the table again with a grin. “Another present for you.”
On the table was a protein shaker adorned with stickers of your teammates, and you couldn’t help but let out a laugh. Everyone had their own drinks tailored to their needs, and when you picked the shaker up you smiled as you realised they’d already filled it for you, a sticky note on the back telling you what was in it. You took the shaker into the gym with you, and when your teammates sidled in slowly, your eyes were on the door, waiting for Ona and Alexia to come through and see you using their gift.
When they did, their eyes scanned the gym, looking for you, and they immediately smiled when their eyes landed on you. You felt a rush at the sight of them and internally rolled your eyes at your behaviour - you were acting like a teenager with a crush rather than a grown woman. Still, you gave them a quick grin before going back to focusing on your therapy, and tried to ignore the way your heart had skipped a beat when they’d smiled at you.
