I am frequently accused of being a hater, but hating runs in my blood. my family became bengals fans in the first place because my grandfather hated his step dad who was a Colts fan. my family are also Purdue fans because my grandfather's step dad was an IU fan. hating and pettiness is in my DNA. I love being a hater.

if the official bengals accounts aren't teasing a dj reader resigning, a justin Jefferson acquisition, or a tee Higgins extension then I'm throwing hands I need to see at least one of these guys in stripes next season

fr like I hate labeling people as "bandwagoners" but there's truly no other word to describe some people on here like nothing wrong with having a favorite player or having your favorite player be joe but like. football is a team sport. joe isn't the whole team. Jake browning literally showed us this in the last like half of the season. like this team is a core part of my family. I can't just walk away over one small scandal yk
okay I promise this is the last thing I'll say about the situation (unless I get an ask that I absolutely have to respond to or something) but all the people who say they're gonna stop supporting are really funny to me bc like we have Jackson Carman on this team. we have joe Mixon on this team. what they allegedly did is 100000000000x worse than a photo yet these same people had no problems
but anyways the Bengals are my home team I'm in this for life man. no matter if we have 10 losing seasons in a row or win the superbowl 10 seasons in a row. I was raised with this team. my parents have game balls in their basement from games they attended back in the boomer/Jeff Blake era. my dad was in a fan hype commercial. there's a framed photo of me at a Bengals game with my dad framed in our living room. we have a hudey beer can in our basement from the Bengals first ever superbowl appearance. like this is my team I can't just stop supporting because of one picture. I've seen a lot of people say this already but this whole thing on here made me realize how many of yall are not from the Cincinnati area. I'm not just gonna stop supporting my home team because of a picture. they'd have to relocate the team to make me stop supporting and get a different team. I was here before joe was our quarterback (although not to the degree i am now) and I'll be here long after he retires or changes teams. I know I'm joeburrowposting but I'm a Bengals fan first and foremost. anyways that's all goodnight.

That’s so cool! Where did he fly them if you don’t me asking?🥰
it was to NYC when he did that stock exchange thing forever ago last off-season lmao and iirc he was also gonna fly them again but idk if that ever happened or where it was to my grandparents just shared it as a cool fun fact to start a conversation
I've never met my aunt's father in law nor do I have contact with him so I just know that it's a thing that happened I have no other info to share

Thanks for clarifying your intention behind your initial post. TBH I was really bothered by it, like it was saying Joe doing the minimum speaking out excused him from being a 🍊 supporter. I get the desire for copium.
oh no not at all I'm very much a hardcore leftist and I'm very stubborn in my core beliefs and the pictures/videos definitely left a sour taste in my mouth I wasn't trying to defend him and I never would defend him for that
the only thing I will defend him from is other afc north fans who say he's not a great quarterback🫡

you know around this time last year I used to be very not normal about joe burrow until I went to a family Easter gathering and my grandparents said that my aunt's father in law flew joe burrow and his girlfriend's private plane to NYC. it was after that when I was reminded that he is literally just a guy. he's literally a stranger. he's a human being. and then after that I took a step back from the circles i was previously in because I felt weird to be posting and engaging with certain content about a real human. I think some people need a wake up moment like this. he's a football man on a screen we watch on sundays. we dont know him at all. this is not a subtweet or about any person in particular. It isn't even a problem just on here. I'm not talking about any specific individuals, I'm talking about social media as a whole. all of us, including me tbh, need to be reminded to be normal.

fellow lesbians do you guys also feel ashamed sometimes to talk about a woman you find attractive or to talk about a woman sexually because you're worried about objectifying them or coming off as misogynistic or is this just a me thing

im so glad that we won the game against the Vikings and that I was able to attend that bc if I didn't have that large serotonin boost right before finals weeks I would do something that would get myself put in a mental hospital
