Okay listen, okay listen here me out

This might be my Donald centrism taking over, but I had to share this idea that popped into my brain. Just some food for thought.

So Bradford revealed that he was the one behind Della finding out about the spear. Which is just, so good, so tasty. *chef kiss*

Except there is no way that Bradford could have predicted the cosmic storm, or the bolt that lead to Dellas crash. The whole point of it was that they were completely unpredictable and that’s why it caught Della and Scrooge so off guard, and why it was so devastating.

Sure. Bradford could have been hoping that something would go wrong in the test flight, but he’s not the type of person to take risks on a possibility.

But what he DID know, was that there was rising tension between Donald and Della over the Spear of Selene. That Donald was very verbally against the whole idea.

And he called Donald, Scrooge’s most trusted ally.

So consider: Bradford’s plan wasn’t to get rid of Della, but to create a rift between them and Donald. The original three. He knew that if Donald found out they’d both gone behind his back and done the thing he was specifically against, he’d be furious. At worst it would still plant the seeds of distrust in Donald’s mind, but all he needed was to start the cracks in the foundation of their team. After all if one support crumbles the tower will fall. It was complete happenstance that he managed to kill two birds with one rocket. Leaving Scrooge completely alone.

Yes! There are so many amazing fanfictions that just happen to be unfinished, and people need to read them. I can think of lots off the top of my head that are unfinished but are still some of favorite stories in the universe.

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.

I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.

The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.

Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.

I love this! Very interesting concept that I would love to see continued if you ever decide to. If not, this is an amazing prompt for our imaginations. Bushroot is a very interesting case to think about in terms of, well, his inner monster, if DT17 is anything to go off, and I love how you thought of exploring that.

Oh, Look, Another Darkwing Drabble

This one’s a snippet of a bigger story in my head, based on the idea of Bushroot going massive mindless monstrosity. 

I dunno if I’ll ever write the rest of the story down, my life tends to get a little busy and I already have a lot of ideas I want to make in my free time, but I at least wanted to exercise the writing muscles.
