You know, I need to get this off my mind.

Making characters trans is fine, HOWEVER,

Oftentimes, I feel like people glamorise being trans. The transgender experience is not a happy one. It's not 'cool' or 'quirky' to be trans. It's painful and horrible and intensely depressing.

Then, I have a feeling people make one or both characters in mlm relationships trans because they think anal is gross, which is not great, or they headcanon themselves as one of the characters, which is a bit more acceptable.

It feels similar to me as when a gay couple gets turned into a straight couple by giving one of them the opposite sex. And that feels a tad homophobic to me.

Moral of the story: gay men are beautiful, so are gay women. And let's not romanticise being transgender. If I didn't phrase this properly, that's my bad (and my autism's).
