Eye contact really just shows that you're paying full attention to the person over here in the us. Apparently there's some psychological stuff involved that people more qualified than I know about, but It's usually a respect thing to at least look at their face if you can't do eye contact. It's becoming less of a thing though.
Is making eye-contact like, a really big thing in western social circles? I see NDs stressing so much about it but I have never really come across a situation in my life where that's been an issue. No one's ever called me out on it or made me feel weird about it. People just mention it like a "life hack" for interviews and such but it really has an air of "do it for bonus points."

Living in a city with mental disorders is wild. Doubly so on rougher parts of town.
Like. You can just walk outside. Down a few blocks. And no one stops you. Have to go to work and depression and intrusive thoughtskicking your ass??
Walk to the bus stop buddy.
Everyone just... Expects you to make it to work. To come home safe.
All the while you're wondering if today's the day someone's gonna run a red light while you're crossing.
I can't even imagine having a car with stuff like this.
Like. The government lets you drive and own a car with Depression? Schizophrenia? Bipolar? (If there is something that prevents that, I haven't heard of it. Could be my dumbass not researching)
I don't even want to think about what would happen if I lost it behind the wheel.

Random information about McDonald's of varying usefulness.
Note this is mainly about the McDonald's I work out, info may vary based on store to store.
In no particular order:
The spicy Mccrispy literally only swaps the butter (mayo for deluxe) for a spicy pepper sauce. The chicken itself is not spicy.
There is a bogo $1 deal for the 4 piece nug, cheeseburger and McChicken. It is mix and match.
The total price for 2 4-pieces through this deal is Equal to a 6 piece by itself.
The work environment tends to be pretty varied. Lgbt+, people on parole, Various different ethnicities.
Coca cola syrup is stored in 3 massive metal tanks
It is cheaper to get a bacon McDouble and add an extra slice of cheese, than it is to add bacon to a double cheeseburger
It is around $1.50 more to get a 20 piece nugget over a regular 10 piece. However it is not possible to get the 20 piece in a meal like the ten.
It is cheaper to get a 40 piece than to get 30.
The smoothie machine and frappe machine are the same machine.
Ice cream and shakes are also made from the same machine (in a different way)
Dr pepper is usually flatter than the other sodas
There are survey codes that give you bogo deals on the receipts.
As it gets closer to closing time for a McDonald's, the chances that the person in booth is taking both lanes and your cash, increases. Especially during the week.
There are sensors throughout the drive thru timing us. Management can be really... Vocal about it. And usually will be annoyed at people not wanting to park when asked
Taking orders over $50 typically needs manager fingerprint
Same with $100
Removing more than $7 of stuff from your order in the window is annoying, and slow. Or involves a manager fingerprint
Overtime is STRICTLY prevented.
Please wait a second or two before yelling hello into the mic, as a back booth person I am typically also taking cash at the same time. So a moment to answer is always appreciated
You can swap out the pickles from the burgers with the ones from the mccrispy and it doesn't cost anything.
You can technically make a mcblt by taking a bacon McDouble removing the patties and adding lettuce and tomato. That is the cheapest way of making it that I've found so far
You can buy pancakes any time of day.

For no particular reason: An unorganized collection of thoughts and incidents today March 27th from a stoned ADHD person.
Decided to make a Tumblr post while overthinking listening to jazz on Pandora, And ended up deleting the post by accident cause I forgot tags.
Techpunk on Spotify is wild.
Somehow managed to be more productive today while struggling to think straight, than had been in the last three months.
Realized Ive been like this since I caught COVID in January and my doc said things post COVID return to "normal" around 2-3 months.
It's over three months now and I've been feeling better the last few days.
Quality of life things are really worth investing time into. Cook your food instead of microwaving it if you can. On a related note, Country fried steak with country vegetables and gravy, Is stupid easy to make. Even for ADHD. You can literally get distracted during every part of the process and overcorrect every time and it still turns out fine.
How I abused the poor country fried steak meal:
Put too much water in vegetables and forgot to cover them.
Over thought about how I was making the gravy. Added more water than was necessary before it thickened cause I didn't think there would be enough.
Added more gravy mix but not more water.
Steaks had already been finished cooking by the point i was starting the sides.
Cooked the now 4 bags of gravy, with only a little more than what's recommended for 2-3 bags, for around 30 minutes on low.
When I say I overwatered the veggies? I put three times the suggested water to boil with the bag of FROZEN veggies.
Ended up forgetting about everything multiple times because I was also making sweet tea. Vanilla sugar cookie with cinnamon. A desert tea.
Gravy is like. Ultra thick and unseasoned cause, high still one of the best things I've ever tasted.
Update: Things I'm hyper focusing on or overthinking about this week:
Terraria's progression system is underrated. Confusing but underrated. I'm having a lot of fun going through blind in 2024
Cookie clicker.
Loose leaf tea.
Cooking.
Whether or not I have a predisposition to addiction due to a familiar connection.
Whether or not me feeling good and productive today was from finally feeling back to normal after COVID, because I took my ADHD meds, being high, Or some combination of the two.
Terraria has a drunk worldgen seed that Is literally everything I've ever wanted from terraria worldgen wise. All the ores, both corruption and crimson, And a laundry list of other things.

idea: scene with two characters eagerly stripping each other clearly about to bone, but they keep getting interrupted by finding carefully concealed weapons in each other’s clothing, so they keep just unholstering, revealing and unstrapping increasingly ludicrous amounts of hidden guns and knives as the clothes come off, and it’s lowkey killing the mood a little
