hmmm infinite's theme strangely goes well with nine
tallest of the mountains= boscage shard
Roughest of the waves= no place shard
Toughest of terror= new yoke shard
Darkest of the days= ghost hill shard
Im the last one standing don't try to stand in my way. Cuz I've been up against better just take a look at my face = implies what nine went through as a kid and how jaded and hardened he is.
And if you're messing with me? I am a dangerous weapon, I'm the sharpest of blades, I'll cut you down in a second. = this represents Nina's mechanical tails as we seen how he uses it as weapon in both season 1 and 2
Cuz I was born in this pain it only hurts if you let it. So of you think you can take me then you should go and forget it. = again, this can represents what nine went through as a kid and I think pain represents his extra tail because that's the main reason he went through that traumatic childhood.
and after all this time, you're back for more. I won't stop until they know my name. = 'you' in this probably means Sonic or Chaos Council idk 🤷‍♂️
So I'll take what's mine and start this war. I'm coming at you like a tidal wave. = what nine is taking are the shards because nine thought sonic agreed that he would come to grim with him to start a new home. You know because sonic in s1 ep6 said "it's great nine, but it's not going anywhere." Tidal wave probably means no place shard and how nine might use it against sonic because what we've seen so far, every shard has power(e.g. boscage=trees growing, no place= electric/thunder stuff?)
when everything you know has come and gone.(you're at your lowest, I am rising higher) only scars remain of who I was. (What I find in the ashes you lose in the fire) = this definitely represents how sonic is the first one to show kindness to him, first friend he ever had. And because of sonic's action of keep projecting Tails on nine and how much he left nine in the dust and at chaos council's mercy. And I don't know what the fire thing can represent. “What I find in the ashes” = Nine finding the Grim amongst the Shatterspaces as a clean slate to make the perfect home. “You lose in the fire” = Sonic losing the original Green Hill for these Shatterspaces to exist.
When there's no one left to carry on(this is an illusion open up your eyes and...) this pain persist, I can't resist. But that's what it takes to be infinite. = I think this line is very interesting because the echo 'this is an illusion open up your eyes and...' line might be from shadow! He kept telling sonic nine cannot be trusted and that he is not tails therefore he is not your real friend. And the pain part? Probably what nine went through AND what he is going through in the betrayal/collision scene (aka ending scene, cliff hanger)
The next lyrics goes
Yeah, so look around you And tell me what you really see I never end And that's the difference in you and me Cause when your time is up And everything is falling down, it's only me and you - who is gonna save you now? So look around you And tell me what you really see You live a lie And that's the difference in you and meI have the power, Let me show you what it's all about It's only me and you - who is gonna save you now? = alright so excluding lyrics saying stuff about infinite( like I never end or sth like that), it has to be nine telling sonic stuff in the grim. The 'tell me what you really see' is nine telling sonic that this is what WE could've had, 'when your time is up and everything is falling down, it's only me and you' = this might be something to do with how sonic keeps having collision, arguments between his friends' variants(e.g. pirates, dread, etc) or it might mean the shatter verses are starting to decay due to chaos council opening portal and not closing it or them decaying because they don't have a shard anymore. Who is gonna save you now.- this is the exact opposite of what tails in ghost hill is saying( as long as I'm around, you'll always have a wing man) because now tails doesn't exist anymore and now sonic's alone( he has shadow tho).
Alright so the only thing I'm gonna point out from lyrics after these are:
'I got the worlds on my shoulder,' , and 'I have the power'
Because they are mostly irrelevant or repeating.
Back to what I was saying, these two means that nine has the shards which are power.
Phew I was just listening to sonic music and this just came to my mind and I had nothing else to do, so I thought why not just write it?
Its not organized so I'm sorry for that T.T

Little Things I Dig About 'Puss In Boots: The Last Wish'
Tumblr media
This will be an unorganized collection of thoughts, but... Here we go!
Do not read on if you have yet to see PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH. Spoilers *ahoy*!
The opening title card alone. A friend pointed this out to me, the whole "This story... Is a Fairy Tale..." graphic. This is **such** a 180 from the other SHREK movies, especially the first SHREK, which opens with a Walt Disney-style book opening, laying down some exposition, and then Shrek himself ripping out a page, wiping his bum with it... That shows just what kind of attitude one movie has towards fairy tales, and what attitude the other one has. It's like this franchise has matured from its early class clown days.
The sword-fighting in the opening action scene is seemingly in sync with 'Fearless Hero', just great timing and animated choreography there.
"Never been touched!"
Puss' battle with the giant gives me major SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS vibes. He makes that whole ordeal look like nothing, and this was *after* he took on a governor and his soldiers.
The very subtle midnight-to-dawn transition as the giant fight unfolds. For whatever reason, it makes the coffee bit even more clever to me.
The shot of Puss running down the rope holding the bell, in mid-air? A companion piece to "What's Up Danger?" from SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE. Also the shot of him 360-ing in the air before skewering the giant with his sword... That, too.
Death being visible in the background during the fight has already been pointed out ad naseum, but I want to point out something else... Something that was actually bugging me, until I thought of an explanation... Okay, so... The bell that crushes Puss. The wider end is hanging above Puss, yet when the bell falls? It fell sideways, despite hanging straight down. You know, the open end of the bell was facing downward. If it had detached from the rope and fell on Puss, he could've survived if the ringer didn't hit him... And that position of the bell is visible in the shots of the defeated giant... But since Death was there... Did Death magically make the bell fall that way? It's established that Death is fed up with Puss for not only mocking him, but also not valuing the other lives he lost. So maybe he magically made that bell fall in a way that it could crush Puss? Just to get it over with and not have to wait any longer for that cat to put himself in another potentially deadly situation? Thus leading him to his last life and Death's incentive to finish off Puss once and for all? Maybe?? Or am I nitpicking or looking too into this?
The continuity nods to not only the SHREK sequels, but also PUSS IN BOOTS Uno. The flashbacks Puss has when he encounters Death for the first time seem to imply that the events of PUSS IN BOOTS took place "after" SHREK 2, maybe even SHREK THE THIRD and SHREK FOREVER AFTER... Despite the implication that it was a prequel? I rewatched PUSS IN BOOTS a few weeks ago, and even that movie - sans the flashbacks/Humpty backstory - is rather vague on when it is set. Puss never mentions Shrek, Donkey, etc.... But weirdly, it could possibly take place after SHREK 2 at the very least?
Speaking of the first PUSS IN BOOTS... I'm now willing to know what the geography is of the SHREKverse. Where Shrek's swamp is, Far Far Away, San Ricardo from PUSS IN BOOTS, Del Mar from this movie's opening scene... Like where is everything in relation to one another? Are DreamWorks gonna make some sort of SHREK lexicon or map of the world that tells us more about this stuff?
A nice sense of pace when Puss stays at Mama Luna's place. We even get a passage of time there, which isn't so common in a lot of modern animated movies whose whole storylines seem to be over in 2-3 days.
Papa Bear singing a random ditty while interrogating Mama Luna with her own piano.
The town where Big Jack Horner's factory is: A very grimy and industrial-looking place for a SHREK series locale. It's fascinating even if we see very little of it. Seems like a crumby place to live.
Big Jack Horner's "Wanted" poster... The hell is THAT face?
Ya know, about the "Wanted" posters... I like that the film, despite leaning harder into fairy tales/fantasy than the first PUSS IN BOOTS, retains that Wild West/old-school adventure movie vibe from the first one with the Wanted posters and some of the score. "Fearless Hero" in particular. Like, this is still firmly in Puss' Wild West/Three Musketeers/Zorro/etc. roots.
Horner's quick snaps: "TAKE IT TO THE TROPHY ROOM!" "MAKE WITH THE BOX!" He's probably the most neurotypical character in this thing.
The Serpent Sisters are a lot of fun, especially the not-so-bright-one. Would've liked to have seen more of these two... Oh well, maybe in a prequel/spin-off short. They really reminded me of the twins from HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. Hey, maybe DreamWorks could make a Goldilocks/3 Bears prequel where they had run-ins with these sisters.
One of Kitty Softpaw's attack moves is literally grabbing enemies by the insides out their mouths, like she's a dentist or something, and hurling them like they're frisbees. Humans twice her size, even! Her and Puss would've eviscerated Thanos.
Death's sudden appearances throughout the film... He's like the pterodactyl from JOUST, or Bendy from BENDY AND THE INK MACHINE. There is no beating him, and he'll just randomly appear... It's handled so effectively each time out.
Their take on the "cute eyes" scene. With the pushed art style and new approach to the animation, they really, REALLY push this gag for both Puss and Kitty, and even for Perrito when he finally masters the cute eyes.
Everything about the dark forest, really. In my Letterboxd review, I noted how this film was unique to the other SHREK films and the first PUSS IN BOOTS movie, in that it really just took on this very dreamy and airy feel. Something about it felt so ethereal in a way. Again, going back to the title card... It truly felt like a fantasy world, a fairy tale. This, to me, is evident in the scenes of Goldilocks being entranced by the Nostalgic Pines and Puss' confession to Kitty Softpaws when they're climbing a tall tree. Just all the shot compositions and color work and score, it's perfection. This is still a funny and farcical upside-down fairy tale world, but it's markedly different from the other SHREKs because of this.
Much has been written and said about the panic attack scene already, but what I particularly liked was how Puss runs through the woods for a bit, imagining the trees as Death looming. It is very reminiscent of the scene in SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS when Snow White, upon learning her stepmother wants her dead, runs through the forest and imagines all of the trees as gnarly monsters. Much like the scene in SNOW WHITE, PUSS IN BOOTS 2 doesn't lighten it with comedy or a gag. It is played straight, and Perrito coming to the rescue is not dissimilar to how the forest critters came to comfort a crying, frightened Snow White. Again, a night-and-day difference from how the other SHREK movies covered fairy tales. (And especially how the SHREKs “satirized” Disney's takes on those stories.)
The little song that Goldi, Baby Bear, and Papa Bear break into when approaching the illusion of their old home, dancing in a circle. It's like a nice little moment that those characters have together, establishing their connection and their little family quirks and such. It only lasts like a few seconds, but it's such a charming little moment.
The library card in the book of fairy tales Goldi used to read.
Nice callback to the dance-off from the first PUSS IN BOOTS when escaping Goldi and the bears.
"Oi like the cut of 'is jib!"
Is that an ACE ATTORNEY reference in a SHREK movie?
Such ace economy and pacing in the climactic final battle, with every section carefully thought out and so much being paid off, all the little details. It's just right. Three tones handled down pat, with seamless transitioning between the three: Kinetic action for everyone fighting, intense/scary when Death shows up, and then thrilling and heroic when "Team Friendship" defeat Jack Horner.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few details, which I'll put on here when they come to me, haha... But yeah, I loved PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH.

this is possibly a hot take but I just keep seeing so many ex-radfems, libfems and TRAs complaining about how “radfems make women feel bad” simply for pointing out that performing femininity in a male-dominant, male view centric culture is inherently problematic. and it’s frustrating me so much so here’s some stream of consciousness.
Like idk who needs to hear this but just live with the cognitive dissonance. It’s like knowing there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. Or that Amazon is a terrible company. Like I’m aware and I try to limit the use, but not always because I need something super fast. I’m not going to whine at all the people protesting Amazon or capitalism because I don’t want to feel guilty about what I’m contributing to.
it’s the same with performing femininity. the makeup/fashion industry is bad — they sell their products by selling you the idea that you aren’t good enough. and they promote euro-centric, unhealthy ideas about beauty. i have a lot of make-up and i rarely wear it. but sometimes I have a lot of days where I do and I don’t feel pressure to do so. but because of the word we live in it’s pretty hard not to notice that wearing makeup = more compliments = a happier mood. there are a lot of people who advocate for not performing femininity and you should recognize that they have plenty of good points. but also we all understand the world we live in and why that’s not always possible for all people. but you should still examine your motives and the larger societal structure it exists in. and if you still decide that heels and make-up and other performative femininity are something you enjoy then just live with that cognitive dissonance like everybody else. Pointing out that oppressive structures exist and that actions that benefit that structure are inherently bad is not a personal statement on your individual character. I’m going to wear makeup to an interview tomorrow and I’m perfectly aware of the implication that i think the right amount of make-up will make me appear professional but not too air-headed. But I really want the job and that’s the world we live in. Maybe one day it won’t be but not if everyone is too afraid to even acknowledge the problem and those that do are called bullies

Stupid messy rant
One thing that frustrates me so bad is the constant masculinization of black women. People were claiming that certain black women were “actually men”, which is just weird for so many reasons. There would be nothing wrong with them being trans, but the point is that they were trying to claim that these cisgender black women were “actually men”. It’s both transphobic and racist at the same time. Black women, INCLUDING BLACK TRANS WOMEN, cannot be feminine without being masculinized. Part of the reason why I have issues with how I present my own gender, or lack thereof, is because of this stigma. I feel like I HAVE to try to look feminine even when I don’t want to. That’s why a lot of other genderqueer black people still identify as black women; it’s such a different experience. Misogynoir is different

My minecrafty rolly chair scraped every art from latest to popular- (I can still find more, Yay!)
The dopamine is fed from my own horrendus persnal work that i love making. As you can tell from my Obsidian notes,
Tumblr media
and agretious titles. It is drenched with scrambled chapters (Attempt to be in order), lores, in-story mods, culture, history and percieved history, multiple fanfiction ideas(Not include the ones in my tumblr drafts that i should move to obsidian oneshots), Character ideas, besides the photo book of tumblr and inspiratinal stuff with a word of the day for name ideas.
Loading screen title is literally what i planned on changing, because 'Minecraft Legends' right, that was on a diffrent game, meaning, to me at least. It would be like BCE(Before Common Era) aNd the loading screen history checkmarks would be CE(Common Era)...
History lessons arnt going to go into that much detail, im just rambling something id change, to make sense.. .
I guess thats it, uhhhh, i have drafts about it, and about random stuff and faes you know. And illager whichs. (Cool story irignater with the faes)
also ask me about the titles of my folder, just know some are misleading like my cults in civiliaztion. Technically, the main character knows a lot about history and past civilization- they just end up getting into a lot of cults from a single kidnapping non-cult related... You know what i take it back, the titles fitting.
Anytime they try talking on why their like that, which can be as simple or as cute or violent as an action, end up being off-putting information to others. I MEAN! Just ask me about the lore of the continent they live in, I will give the pin point of why the illager soceity they live in is known as a crossed sword heirarchy.
(Their are other neighboring illager, ones a small pirate island off coast those are usally diverse with all types pf criminals, and we talk that much about villagers]
Im telling yeah, i havnt made a map. Oh yeah and that im deranged about this lore. Plus i love heirarchies, i just wished they were shaped diffrently from a pyramid, so I had the cross swords that were a carpet pattern. I am quite happy with it, not gonna lie. It was originally a double edged sword of feral children, 'oh you want me to be violet so bad' but that could be for another illager soceity. I just love complications ^^
This was a longer ramble than i initated, have a lovely day. Understanding of what im sayning or not. ♥︎

DND thoughts
Thinking about my DND character from a board game club being created out of a simple spell to help one of the other guys in the party. Thinking about how he was just alive and existing so easily and with not much purpose or thought into his creation. Thinking about how he already had aspirations (kicking a god's shins). Thinking about how if he thought about it for more than two seconds he would probably realize that it's a little weird or messed up that he was just a fully realized person with no developmental stage/childhood that was created as panicked move to stop some fighting from happening. Imagine that. Your short lived purpose in life is to help in a fight that at most would take 6 minutes. And then it's done, and you somehow have your own goals and aspirations despite the fact that you didn't exist three minutes ago.

Why do people assume hedonism or selfishness is bad?
Like, on face value I get it, but I have also unpacked all my (admittedly minimal) christian background and honestly, being selfish and a little hedonistic is ok. Being selfish does not mean that you ONLY care about yourself, it only means that Yourself is a priority over Others. You are first but that doesn't mean it stops there. Others just are second (or even 1.5!)
Also hedonism gets such a bad rap, like I'm here to enjoy myself, but not to the point of self-destruction. Why the Fuck would I do something that Feels good to the point it begins to Feel Bad? That defeats the entire fucking point? I have self-control and you should too?

Sit down.
Seriously.
You're gonna need to.
Ralsei, as we all know, is a DARK Prince. This, by default, makes him a Darkner. Remember when Lancer turns to stone because he's in a different world than where he came from? And how this also happens with Rouxls? Why doesn't it happen with Ralsei? Is he just immune to all region switches? Ralsei and Lancer are in the same place as each other when the player first knowingly encounters them. So why does only one of them get harmed by the different worlds? Also, why is Ralsei's Dark World the safe place for all of them? Does it have something to do with it being the only Dark World with a stable Dark Fountain?
Another theory about Ralsei. Ralsei is an anagram for Asriel, the god of hyperdeath in Undertale. They also have somewhat similar appearances. Flowey is the shell of Asriel after he died. Like Flowey/Asriel, Ralsei explains the mechanics of the game and even says the same quote about the player's SOUL.
Think about it.
A li'l unorganized but it's fine

The Warden.
Tumblr media
A guard. A supervisor.
If I recall correctly, the devs had once alluded to the idea that the Wardens are more of protectors rather than an enemy. After all, that's why they aren't to be killed, yes? Why you don't get any true loot?
The catalyst is the only thing that they will drop.
One of the statues that mimic the look of the main centerpiece of the cities was once called a portal statue, before it was changed. Original intent, or to keep us players for getting our hopes up...?
(This theory excludes the idea of an enterable dimenion)
Fungus seems to play a huge part in the lore of the game. That, and color. We have mushroom stew that heals us, giant mushrooms that take over entire islands, mushrooms in the Nether that allow us to build and (while not able to uncraft to get nether wart) allow us to create potions. Fungus is vital to the game.
What if the skulk was also a type of fungus? From another dimension?
The skulk spreading, the catalyst allowing this. The souls heard subtly, seen in the chest of Wardens.
The warped forest... There's something about that forest. It scares hoglins, piglins don't want to be there. Only the endermen can enjoy it. (no concrete theory for this yet)
It's blue.
Soul sand + soul soil, soul fire, soul torches and lanterns. The light of the souls are found in the ancient cities.
Does the skulk feed on souls? We see the Wardens move like they are simply being puppetted by the skulk. Their sounds are like that of a few different voices together.
... What if, the original fungus that was from beyond the portal, was a simply an invasive species, that figured out souls were a wonderful food source, and it had the perfect environment to do so?
And what if, the Ancient Builders used this knowledge, to sacrifice themselves to keep any future sentient beings from discovering something horrifying in said portal? Hiding their technology and the way inside and having a Warden to do so?
TL;DR: The skulk is an invasive species that feeds on souls and is used to keep curious minds from unleashing a terrible evil from the fungus' home dimension.

SPIDER-VERSE On The Brain
Tumblr media
Massive SPIDER-VERSE *spoilers* are ahead... Do not read on if you haven't seen the movie...
It's been four days since I checked out SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE in theaters... And I'm still processing such a rich layer cake of a movie with all this stuff going on, just the sheer ambition of it... And... This story isn't even over, that's the mind-blowing part...
This movie did have pretty strong arcs for Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and even Peter B. Parker to some extent, in addition to introducing a major conflict and a soon-to-be-primary antagonist in Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099... While a larger threat, The Spot, still looms, and there's even a closer to home threat for Miles himself as the picture wraps up...
There's so much more to go, assuming that BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE is also going to be a pretty long movie. That this movie was, in the planning stages, getting to be so big that they had to break it up into two parts? Who knows what we're in for...
I feel a lot of ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE's narrative brilliance is within its yet to be resolved conflict...
Canon...
Back in 2018, INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE came onto the scene with its dynamic new way of rendering CGI imagery in an animated feature, while throwing in eye-candy flourishes and other dynamic art styles to really make that movie pop amongst other mainstream animated movies *and* the entire comic book movie sphere. In a neat sense, this groundbreaking new way to make an animated feature strengthened the inclusive and quite simple overall message of the story: ANYONE can be Spider-Man.
Now, if INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE said "anyone can be Spider-Man", ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE asks what that "anyone" must go through to be Spider-Man.
Can Spider-Man truly be anyone?
What is "canon"?
Miguel is adamant that every Spider, from man to woman to animal to insect, must experience some major tragedy in order to truly be a Spider-Something. A loss of a family member, close friend, or any kind of loved one... That's that about that, that's the nature of the "Spider-Verse", it is set in stone, no other way! Seems to contradict "Anyone can be Spider-Man", right? Apparently Miles can't have a relatively normal non-costumed life, someone he loves HAS to be axed... And that's the case with... How many Spiders? Over 280?
... which quite frankly sounds very controlling and lacking in imagination. And kinda dumb on paper. Miles knows that, even... It all relates back to what his mother and father want for him vs. his ambitions and desires.
"Nah, imma do my own thing"...
Such a liberating line, during such a literally and figuratively heavy moment in the film...
Between Miles' arc and Gwen's story, this autistic queer right here felt something quite resonant from all of this... I needed to see and hear these classic story tropes pulled off in such a great new way at a crucial time in my life...
Now, this works even beyond one's personal journey and how a film relates to someone: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE seems cleverly critical of contemporary superhero movie culture and most nerd-dom, from its most toxic swamps to its most boring offices. Adherence to "canon", shackling oneself to hard-set rules that mustn't be deviated from. It's especially potent coming from a movie series where the main Spider-Man is a black/Puerto Rican teenager, and his pals include a trans Spider-Woman, an older adult Peter Parker who has a child, and many more.
The insistence that Spider-Man has to be this one thing, i.e. Miguel running a Spider-Society that makes sure all Spider-People have that very "Uncle Ben" tragedy happen to them, with NO ANOMALIES... Miles' whole existence as Spider-Man, of course, is revealed to be said anomaly... In that a spider from another universe, Earth-42, got to his, Earth-1610, and bit him... Messing everything up... He's even blamed for Earth-1610 Peter Parker's death, to add insult to injury!
Or DID he mess things up?
Maybe "canon" is a bunch of bullshit.
The very kind of thing that shackles whole characters and franchises down, instead of letting those who come to the sandbox play with the toys THEIR way. INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE came to CG animation and didn't do the Pixar style, didn't do what most other mainstream animated movies were doing, didn't follow the accepted "standard" or "canon"... A friend of mine, in his review of ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE, noted something very interesting: This also ties into how a lot of very online animation fans insist that every new movie now must be like SPIDER-VERSE. And like PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH. And like any other animated movie that they consider "top tier" or "based" or "cinema". Including a relatively-panned Mario movie. Screw off if you're Pixar making "mid" movies like TURNING RED and ELEMENTAL, or Disney Animation making equally "mid" movies like ENCANTO or RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON... "Canon" in feature animation, apparently, is now movies that must be like SPIDER-VERSE or PUSS IN BOOTS or whatever. Animated movie "requirements". You have to have scary dark villains, you have to have the most amazing unseen animation style ever, you have to do it all THIS WAY...
This whole "canon" nonsense also ties into superhero movies in general, as well. Even comics, like a lot of runs of Spider-Man are apparently doing... especially in a time of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC movie-verse being clamped down by such hard continuity... That has only morphed into a bigger cluster-cuss, post-SPIDER-VERSE.
I remember when watching the LOKI Disney+ series, thinking... This series is trying to explain in FIVE 40-MINUTE EPISODES something INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE effortlessly explained in less than 5 MINUTES... Then you bring in the Doctor Strange follow-ups, all this stuff about "incursions". Incursions this, Sacred Timelines that... Why is this so goddamn convoluted and wracked head-to-toe with all these RULES? Other multiverse stories don't do this, and Marvel's characters span DECADES... And a big criticism of the recent MCU output is that the continuity, the canon... Doesn't allow for the characters to have their own unique stories, told by filmmakers with individual unique visions working within reasonable guidelines. I feel these two movies, along with EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, show what a multiverse story can still be in this day and age.
And by using Miguel's rule, ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE goes right for the jugular bearing its spider-fangs.
Anyone can be Spider-Man, Spider-Man can have ANY life.
May I also add? The Spot... He's not in the movie much, but his arc... Tying this back to the worst of toxic nerd culture. The Spot is shook by being called some villain of the week and everything else that happened to him (like getting conked by the very bagel from the first movie), and instead of using his weird abilities for something good, he's going to go great lengths to prove that he is not some villain of the week. To become a larger scale threat... And for what? To fill a literal hole in himself? What validity and happiness will this bring him? I see something similar in some aspects of nerd culture, where they take being wronged (I'll humorously compare this to being shoved into lockers, circa 1988) at some point in their life, and turning it into their literal villain origin story... Growing up to be the jocks that bullied them, growing up to be the ones making life harder for other people in the community... The very people complaining about how "w0ke" this movie is for having "forced diversity", the very people who also lob that stolen word at harmless things like the LITTLE MERMAID remake and virtually anything "W0ke Disney" puts out these days, the very people who had literal shit-fits over MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, every new STAR WARS movie, GHOSTBUSTERS 2016, SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER, new MUPPET BABIES, any new STAR TREK media, the list goes on and on... That's The Spot. Funny how some superhero movies, even animated superhero movies, have these villains who feel like they've been wronged and feel like they're entitled to something...
Just more texture to this ludicrously-textured layer cake movie... Yeah, CAKE itself is a big part of the movie, too. Look at that-
All this, amidst a backdrop of hundreds of Spider-People, a surrealistic smorgasbord of visual styles and animation techniques (Spider-Punk alone, YOWZA YOWZA YOWZA!), a multiverse-spanning story, and at the end... All of it tying back to who Miles Morales wants to be. How he wants to tell HIS story... When he defies Miguel on the train, it's a monumental moment...
And the story isn't even over yet... This movie is something special.

Note this is mainly about the McDonald's I work out, info may vary based on store to store.
In no particular order:
The spicy Mccrispy literally only swaps the butter (mayo for deluxe) for a spicy pepper sauce. The chicken itself is not spicy.
There is a bogo $1 deal for the 4 piece nug, cheeseburger and McChicken. It is mix and match.
The total price for 2 4-pieces through this deal is Equal to a 6 piece by itself.
The work environment tends to be pretty varied. Lgbt+, people on parole, Various different ethnicities.
Coca cola syrup is stored in 3 massive metal tanks
It is cheaper to get a bacon McDouble and add an extra slice of cheese, than it is to add bacon to a double cheeseburger
It is around $1.50 more to get a 20 piece nugget over a regular 10 piece. However it is not possible to get the 20 piece in a meal like the ten.
It is cheaper to get a 40 piece than to get 30.
The smoothie machine and frappe machine are the same machine.
Ice cream and shakes are also made from the same machine (in a different way)
Dr pepper is usually flatter than the other sodas
There are survey codes that give you bogo deals on the receipts.
As it gets closer to closing time for a McDonald's, the chances that the person in booth is taking both lanes and your cash, increases. Especially during the week.
There are sensors throughout the drive thru timing us. Management can be really... Vocal about it. And usually will be annoyed at people not wanting to park when asked
Taking orders over $50 typically needs manager fingerprint
Same with $100
Removing more than $7 of stuff from your order in the window is annoying, and slow. Or involves a manager fingerprint
Overtime is STRICTLY prevented.
Please wait a second or two before yelling hello into the mic, as a back booth person I am typically also taking cash at the same time. So a moment to answer is always appreciated
You can swap out the pickles from the burgers with the ones from the mccrispy and it doesn't cost anything.
You can technically make a mcblt by taking a bacon McDouble removing the patties and adding lettuce and tomato. That is the cheapest way of making it that I've found so far
You can buy pancakes any time of day.

Part of the difficulty in sharing is that every thought I have is very uncertain lol
Do frumious fantails mate in midair??? I don't know. At some point some part of my mind decided they do, so even if it doesn't feel like it makes sense to me there's a ton of other things that build on that assumption.
and then here I could elaborate if anyone wants but maybe that should be a different post.
everything I could talk about here is basically like that

Third Post of the Day...
I've just now realized how unorganized and unrelated the contents of my blog are. And I haven't been posting much, even, but I mean, look at this crap. Like the first two posts are about some stuff that made me feel warm inside. Then there's some stuff about music. And writing. And other stuff. Like I can't even... sorry guys
