Sometimes I think about how messy and immature I was at 18-19 and then I remember that’s how old Nicky was when he took on the twins - with no life experience, heaps of his own trauma and his only support thousands of miles away.

He didn’t have to, but he did it anyway, if only to keep the twins safe and spare them the hell he went through under Luther and Maria’s roof. He put his own happy ending on hold to save two traumatized teenagers that he barely knew and was not really equipped to handle.

I just think about Nicky sitting at a kitchen table, pouring over bills and exhausted from working two jobs, desperately lonely despite Aaron and Andrew being in the next room. Saving his tears for bedtime so the kids don’t see, missing Erik with every bone in his body.

Nicky might be a deeply flawed character (of course he is, he’s a Fox) and he definitely exhibits some creepy, inappropriate behavior at times, but there’s no denying that he was a hero, too. God knows I couldn’t have managed what he did, not at that age.

They make Exy into a Wii game and Kevin sucks at it. He's literally the worst. Andrew is the best at it and he does it all from the couch/ a beanbag chair. He just waves the remote around while sitting and exerting no effort. It greatly amuses Neil and infuriates Kevin to no end.
