thinking about my relationship with stories and I realize I'm much more into horror stories juxtaposed with hope and love as opposed to just monotonously dark ones. I've been deeply nihilistic my whole life and consuming bleak, tragic stories is just like reading that the sky is blue. But reading about characters who, even though they go through so much trauma, still choose hope and kindness and still strive to make things better for themselves and others??
