You know Natalie Holt isn’t the head writer, right? She’s only one person working on Loki. The others are bound to have their own interpretations. You don’t have to listen ti just one.
Loki is a piece of art. And like all good art, people are allowed to perceive it different ways. I could give a rat’s ass what your opinion is. But if you’re touting your own “love story” interpretation as canon, that’s not actually canon. That is literally a headcanon.
I’m case people like @kyumiterasu didn’t think Lokius is canon-
Natalie Holt who made the music for the Loki show has a song named “Lokius”
Natalie Holt has retweeted Lokius fan creations (google it lol)
Disney confirmed that Loki has a romantic interest with a woman and a man.
There are romantic scenes, music, shots, little hints here and there that say Lokius is canon.
Not everything has to be explicit to be true?? It’s not a headcanon, it’s canon. Even if this was just my opinion, I’m allowed to have that 💀
I plan for my fantasy world to have a 50/50 ratio of human-to-animal screentime.
I was talking with my friend about how disappointing it is that animal anatomy and animal animation aren't taught much in Japan for anime productions, unlike in the Western animation industry where animal anatomy is such a vital aspect of learning the craft. If there are animals in anime, they are either one of three camps:
A: Secondary roles (Cowboy Bebob, Mononoke Hime).
B: Can transform into animals but are in their human forms 90% of the time (Wolf's Rain, Wolf Children).
C: One scene wonder (Jin Roh).
And the animes we have gotten that are centered around animal characters have been so poorly animated, like the Ginga series (Nagareboshi Gin and Densetsu Weed).
There are also Arashi No Yoru Ni and Gamba, but they don't always walk on all fours (Especially Gamba where they are fully anthro).
And Chirin is only a short film.
King Fang, the Call of the Wild and White Fang animes are not super well known, and those kinds are very hard to come by in the industry these days.
It's really a shame teaching animal anatomy/animation isn't such a huge priority over there. Humans are more important, for some reason. But shouldn't you be able to animate anything and everything? Because there are many great stories that can be adapted into anime. Sadly though I think they'll just resort to using 3D animation to make things easier if anyone ever tries to create an animal anime, which just reeks of laziness. It just doesn't look good. Studio Orange? Maybe they could do it well, as their animation is pretty good on Beastars.
But, at the end of the day, you really cannot beat traditional hand-drawn animation.
Unfortunately there aren't a lot of compilations atm. Give the full anime some credit! This sport is much more engaging and spicy than you think. It's created by the same dude who made Danganronpa, so you'll know it's gonna be chaotic.
CORPSE: announcing he's gonna voice a character in an anime I've never heard of
