So, I made a series of mistakes involving incense. Anyway, according to my mother "The whole basement smells like hippy smoke!" and my father, "Is that why my asthma has been acting up??"
In my defense, I tried to tell them "Hey, by the way, the entire downstairs smells like a dragons mouth and I'm very sorry, I put a fan on" No one listened to me until they entered the dungeon I accidentally forsaken and realized that I wasn't exaggerating and it was a miracle I didn't set off any fire alarms.

I'm alive?
I guess life update after disappearing for what? Since 2022? A couple years? Uh I'm alive.
I don't quite know how to explain the absence. With ao3, it's primarily because of burnout. More than that, I pushed myself to read every comment left including negative one and writing began to feel more like a pressure filled thing rather than the passion filled thing it should have been. I really haven't liked much of what I've written for a long time now. Anything related to my ao3 account started feeling like something to dread and so I decided to just blip off of everything.
Other things in life happened but that's a whole other jumble. Life is life I guess. But yeah, I still exist. I doubt this matters to most but I think it might to some.

Hey, love your works!!! Just wondering if you abandoned Spiteful or like you're still working on it. Because the last time it was updated was 2021 and I just want to know if I should get my hopes up because I really loved what you had done with Bakugo's character! Anyways, if you are, no rush at all what so ever. <3
I am, believe it or not. I dug myself into the most extreme version of burnout that I could possibly do. I've still not been able to get myself to the point where I even like my writing again but I've not really given up on trying 💕

Hi, on the hunt for a guide of A03 etiquette i came across your very helpful post on appropriate and inappropriate commenting . Having recently got back into writing fics ive had some recent comments that are getting me down and i dont know if im being over sensitive or if these comments are considered inappropriate. E.g “i hope you do this or that to make said action more realistic ” or “it makes more sense if is this were to happen…etc”. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you ☺️
I'll be real with you, I get super sensitive sometimes with it because of how many bad comments I've gotten. I can't speak to comments I haven't seen but it can really feel invalidating to hear something that suggests that it'd be better if you went a different direction.
I made the utter mistake of replying to some of these types of comments and I would not do that again. I tried for a long time to reply to everything and I think it took too much of a toll on me. There's an off chance that a person will be understanding but there's more of a chance they'll just make you feel worse and worse.
For example I playfully replied to someone commenting on my hiatus saying I plan to continue. They responded in a way that just highlighted their disappointment in the hiatus in what I think they believed to be a friendly way but just made me feel worse. Another time I tried to politely explain something to a negative comment and they just got angry with me and wanted to go in depth on more things they didn't like.
I think it's completely valid to be disappointed and upset about those comments. It feels like they are suggesting you didn't do enough when you absolutely did. I was speaking with a friend recently on the subject and she put it very well. She mentioned that part of the reason fan fiction has a sort of etiquette is because fanficiton is a free source and what is written there is a gift of a sort. Published books are something people are getting paid for and opening to critique, but with a free work posted on a fanfic cite, plus the author hasn't said they are open to suggestion, its no ones place to do that.
On top of that, suggestions of where the story should go... I don't know, I just wish people who suggest things like that would actually just create? This is a personal opinion but it's great that they're inspired, that's a compliment in a way, but I'd rather not hear it. The whole idea of fan fiction is to take something and go your own way with it so if someone is that passionate, I'd be happier if they cited my work as the inspiration and do it. Some authors take requests, some are open to critique but if that's not the case, that should be respected

I saw you note at the end of Spiteful that you have a link to the master link on here, and I’m on mobile, so would you mind sharing it again!!
I wouldn't mind I just have no idea where that little asshole went. Anyone mind helping out on this?

Intersting Fact
So white backed vultures are my favorite bird ever. Mostly because they will eat so much that they are unable to fly; allowing them time to sun bathe instead. I find that so adorable. (:

Contrary to popular belief not all female spiders kill their mates after mating. Some even live on the same web afterwards (at least tell the children hatch). (:

Hi, I saw your post about appropriate commenting on AO3, it helps me so much since I am looking for it.
If you don't mind answering, recently I have written a fic for a less popular ship on a fandom.
There is this one commenter that keeps mentioning how the character I wrote is similar to another fic belonging to the same fandom but for a more popular ship/pairing.
I have never heard of this fic let alone read it.
It was uncomfortable for me to read the comment, because even though there are some compliments there, it feels as if this one commenter is comparing my work to this other fic.
For example
1. Will character A do the same as character B from this "Title"?
2. It's fun to read another "Title"-esque fic
Am I being to sensitive here? I get that there are compliments here and there, but is it justified to delete their comments?
I am not sure about their intention but they have commented several times and each times the same commenter said the same thing about another fic and how my fic is very similar to it. I didn't reply to this one commenter, others don't mention anything about this other fic.
I feel like it is quite rude mentioning someone else's work under the comment of another person's work and imply it is quite similar though not saying it outright.
Is it? I genuinely want to know because I need another perspective on this.
If it is not, do you have any advice that you can give? Your insight would be very helpful.
A fic doesn't invent an entire genre, but this one commenter makes it seems like it does (& I am copying it or something).
Thank you for your time.
Okay, real talk, delete that shit.
I’m sorry I didn’t see this till now btw. Really anything that upon seeing make you feel negative emotions, just delete it. One of my biggest mistake in writing was worrying about the comment section. It really fast tracked me into burn out and anxiety.
You don’t need to explain yourself and many writers don’t even go to their comment section. It’s not rude to ignore it. In this case, I feel the person you’re describing is being rude, even if unknowingly. Wether or not the person is being rude, you are well within your rights to ignore it or delete it.
I think I mentioned it in the post you reference but there was a time where someone used a fic I liked to put me down. It really just doesn’t feel great to hear about others in a manner to make you doubt yourself.
And really, not a goddamn person has an idea that hasn’t been done before. There’s not a concept that hasn’t been thought, it’s your take on it that matters. So don’t let anyone shame you for that. I’ll be the first to say that the fics I’ve written have been done before in a way. There’s thousands of bullying stories. There millions of stories with an abusive mother. There’s a ton of fics that reference similar if not the same topics I do. It just can’t matter to me if I’m going to get better as a writer. If it does than there’s not a word I could write.
I’m very passionate in defending you on this. I of course don’t know every detail of what’s going on but this is my take on it. I ended up getting very wrapped up in comments, both positive and negative, and that’s one of the worst things I did to myself. If I can help someone not to fall into that fate, I’d love to

Hope your doing alright and life is treating you well. Haven't posted here for a while. On a sidenote as a fact: Did you know that the copper alloy on the cent coins is called Nordic Gold? It is made out of 89% copper, 5% Zink, 5% aluminium and 1% tin.
I wish I were Nordic gold. I’d be so good as Nordic gold.
I did not know that! I did know they changed the composition of the penny at some point in time but I didn’t know what to

So I kept seeing in comments in the preview chapter that Midoriya was going to get his own chapter? What do you mean by that?
I meant a chapter from his perspective!

Hi, I just binged Spiteful and let me tell you...it was a JOY to read!!!!! Seriously everything about it was just so well written and Katsuki and Mei's dynamic is just so much fun!!! There are so many things that I just absolutely love about your fic! Artist Bakugou is a personal favorite headcannon of mine so finding content that includes that is always a pleasure. Presentation Michael getting some good sensei props gives me life!!!!! Aizawa's capture weapon getting dyed pink...XD I nearly died laughing!!!!!!! And when Mei referred to Katsuki as the 'King of the Jungle'! Legit my favorite exchange in any fic I've read to date!!!!!! AND THE ANGST!!!!! THE GLORIOUS ANGST!!!!! It has watered my crops and cleared my skin!!!!!! Just the thought of the hot boiling shame, horror and guilt class 1A and all the teachers are gonna feel gives me so much satisfaction!!!! (I might be a little bit of a sadist...)
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for writing this wonderful work of art! It's been so much fun to read and I'm already making plans on rereading it in the future! I hope that you have a lovely rest of the day/night!
Thank you, you lovely, glorious possibly sadist (I don’t judge 😉) anon. Keep being you!

That’s nifty! Like it adds up in my brain but also doesn't. I never picture them walking but also, they hang upside down a lot
The leg bones of a bat are so thin that out of the 1,200 species of bats, only 2 can walk on ground.
The Vampire bat and the Burrowing bat.
