Just so we’re clear

This is not about a “ship war”, I don’t give a single damn about Nyg/mobblepot or Nyg/makins being canon or not, not do I care about how toxic they are (both of them are).

It’s about how gotham treats it’s characters, but specially their female characters. And how they decided to make Oswald canonically gay for bonus points representation and then just went ahead and made the worst out of the situation.

Gotham tends to make every girl lust over Jim Gordon, one way or another. Gotham makes their female characters see each other’s as possible threats when Oswald and Jerome are shown all buddy pal in one episode (and when Oswald and Jim are shown to even work through his differences with?? Respect??). Gotham makes their female characters depend in one man, one way or another, or make their whole arc about their love/admiration for one man be the main problem/fuel for that said woman. It happened with Tabitha and Galavan, and now Tabitha and Butch. It happened with Barbara and Jim, and then for some time Rah. It happened with Lee and Jim, and Mario and now Ed. It happened with Sofia and Jim and Oswald!

How come they only care about women when their male characters are in the game? How come none of this women can’t get a healthy relationship neither with the men but with themselves?
