Memories of Migration: Telling our Stories & Connecting our Journeys is the culmination of a grant received by the Institute of Museum and Library Services that has been dedicated to chronicling the migration stories of those in Orange County area. While primarily focusing on Latino history in and around Orange County, the project has collected hundreds of migration stories from individuals from all walks of life to demonstrate that migration is a universal part of the human condition.
Call for artwork: The selection committee is seeking original artwork in any medium. The foundation for the artwork must revolve around the idea of migration, but in your own interpretation. No more than 5 works can be submitted per artist. Wall space is limited.
Notice of acceptance will be sent by April 9, 2017
Completed works or concepts that will be completed by May 1, 2017 will be accepted.
Applications must include the following: - Artist’s name - Artist statement describing your vision for the works as they relate to migration (not to exceed 200 words) - Current contact information - Titles of works - Work descriptions (not to exceed 50 words per work) - Links to image samples

A Grain of Rice From a Dog’s Tail
Produced by Rix Chhuy A documentary film that explores the lasting effect of the Cambodian Genocide led by the Khmer Rouge between 1975 and 1978. It follows a woman named Sath Chea and captures the internalised agony that she contines to endure.

This sticker card is available to anyone who comes into the center. Fill each spot and receive a finals care package at the end of the semester! Here’s how it works.
1. Ask for a Star Card at the front desk or at an event.
2. Get your first three stars if you visit the center, join our eNews, and follow us on social media!
3. Attend events to get 7 more stars!
4. Turn in your Star Card during the first week of May and receive a finals care package!
