We would like to remind everyone that the conversations you have in the library can be heard by all in attendance. I'm trying to study for my geology quiz I do not need to hear about "How tasty them toes were."

Volunteering at the Fullerton Arboretum
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fullerton Arboretum is a great place to volunteer as a college student.
I am a student at Cal State Fullerton and I volunteer at the Fullerton Arboretum once a week on my free time.  I feel refreshed just walking in to the arboretum.  As I walk in I am surrounded by the color green which really relaxes me and relieves me from academic stress.  There is a wide variety of plants, flowers, trees and lakes, and I frequently encounter ducks, herons, hummingbirds, and squirrels there.
As a volunteer I assist the horticulture team develop and maintain the living collections.  Some regular activities include watering, potting, raking, and weeding.  There are opportunities to volunteer at Discovery Stations to provide information to visitors or tour groups if you are social and like interacting with people.  I personally prefer to volunteer as a horticulture volunteer because of the peace it provides me in a serene environment.
New volunteers are recruited year-round, and the arboretum’s volunteer coordinator provides orientation, onboarding, and training prior to the start of the volunteering.  The program is very well organized, and there are many time slots available to choose from so I never find difficulty signing up for the slot that works around my academic schedule.  As a student at CSUF, I feel worthy of providing my time to be involved in supporting the mission.
You don’t have to be a CSUF student to be a volunteer.  If you are interested in volunteer opportunities at the Fullerton Arboretum, visit Fullerton Arboretum to find out more information about it.   I wish I could share my great experience volunteering there with more people.

I can’t even tell you how proud I am of my @joselina.romero . This girl has worked so hard to get here. All four universities she applied to, she was accepted to! My heart is in awe and I am in tears. My baby girl did it, all while working a full time job and through the epidemic… she did it! And this is her first choice. She will officially become a #CSUFTitan… with her mommy. 🥹 I love you so much my Monkey Girl! You did it and I am so proud to watch you accomplish your goals and reach for your dreams. I always said to be a million times better than me and baby, you are beyond that! I’m so proud to be your mommy! We love you babe and congratulations mama! I do believe a Disney trip is in order! Lol! #SheDidIt #TitanFamily #CSUF #TimeToCelebrate https://www.instagram.com/p/CpDneQ5vm1x/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Congratulations Cassandra Caldwell!!🌟Go see her show at the TSU Center Gallery before Jan 27th!!!🌟 @cc_art_photo ・・・ “Inspired by my interests in true crime and photography, I decided to meld these worlds together in my senior thesis project. My project for my bachelor’s degree in art is titled “All Evidence Points to Homicide” and includes six photography installations, 3D sculptures and found materials. Each photographic installation focuses on a fabricated homicide case. With the visual display of images, documentation and physical evidence, I present a presumably unsolved case for viewers to draw their own conclusions — similar to how a detective might process the information. I need a lot of supplies and materials to complete my final project. Receiving the Darryl Curran Creative Photography Scholarship relieves some of the stress of financing it and has given me a feeling of being seen by my biggest supporters. During my time here at Cal State Fullerton, I have dedicated a lot of energy into finding my own voice in my photographic work. For as long as I can remember, creating visual art has been the best way I know how to connect with people. Every project allows me to communicate feelings or concepts beyond what I am able to articulate into words. My career aspirations are to work at a creative agency or production company because I love being in a creative environment. I also plan on getting my graduate degree to teach photography at the college level and hopefully inspire future generations of artists.” #csuf #csufcpem #photography #calstate #calstatefullerton #csufschoolofart #allevidencepointstohomicide https://www.instagram.com/p/CnUzDTHPBqm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

CSUF's Official Review of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley.
Minor spoilers for episode 1 and an ending for episode 2
Having complete the burial ending (will be doing decay later when I finish more work) I have to say that this shouldn't have been a game, but some sort of animated series. No one talks about how good the puzzles or gameplay are. The dialogue and plot are the main draw, and I think a game is almost a waste of them. Obviously the multiple endings could only work in this medium, but that could be fixed the way Evangelion handled it.
I also think calling it "the incest game" is like calling The Last of Us "the hospital game" because yes, that's a major plot point, but that is far from the only thing the game has going on and honestly doing so doesn't do anything but hurt the reputation of the game among outsiders who would otherwise be interested in the game.
Ashley and Andrew have some of the best chemistry I've seen in a fictional duo and I hate it. You can tell they spent most of their lives together and aside from, you know, it's pretty realistic. I can tell the creator has a sibling because normally this type of relationship wouldn't be done in such a believable way. They know exactly what makes the other person tick, and they are not afraid to piss each other off if need be.
I'll say that I don't really like the occult in media cause it's a really easy cop out to make something edgier, but I'm honestly fine with the way it's more of a thing that happens than the two being these Satan worshipping cannibals. I'm interested to see how the cult plays a role in the next episode, especially since Andrew's palm marking hints at something big.
This game also has a few moments where the author's a bit too edgy. Not like creepypasta blood everywhere type of edgy, but in a "You're not concerned with a demon saying you have a tar colored soul" way. This isn't often but it's enough to where I don't feel like it's trying too hard.
Lastly, yes I think the incest dream is weird. It's supposed to be weird, they're psychopaths who kill and eat their parents. The dev isn't trying to normalize incest, he's trying to show how their lives have become so reliant on each other that any intimate connection with another human has to be between them. It's not healthy, and it shouldn't be supported. The creator isn't condoning it (imo the "Cry about it" art is meant to be him saying that he can put whatever they want in their game) and as I said before, it's not what the game should be known for.
Overall, I think if you're not turned off by the idea of cannibalism, the occult, toxic codependency, and of course, incest, then you'll find that the 10 dollars is well spent, especially since the fandom is not only growing but there's still a lot to happen between now and the release of episode 3. 8/10

The Basement Zine - Issue #3, Fall 2022
'The Basement' is Titan Radio's online zine created to showcase articles, photography, art, and other creative works from TR's staff (and for the first time this semester, DJs). This is currently our third installment since Spring 2021.
Thanks to Titan Radio for giving me the task of lead designer + editor for the whole zine. I've had such a fun time with this whole project. Probably the most fun I've had with any design project, really.
Here's the link to read it.

Places with Rover
Living in California has its perks in discovering new unique places within every city. Orange County holds many hidden gems that you may not know of. That is why I introduce this place to you. SteelCraft in Garden Grove is on average just a 20-minute drive from California State University, Fullerton.
SteelCraft is a large networking pool is how I like to think of it. The business is a large open space with all its vendors facing the middle of the open space. Within the space, there are many benches and tables of all heights and sizes to fit whichever need you to want. There are also jumbo-sized classic games like Jenga and Connect 4. Also including regular games to play with friends such as ping pong and even the mini arcade within the place.
What makes this place unique is that SteelCraft is made of repurposed shipping containers. Each shipping container has its creative twist that goes along with the vendors. 10 vendors within this location offer food and drinks. This ranges from regular drinks to alcoholic drinks and the same goes for the food as it ranges from amazing food to yummy desserts.
If you don’t want to travel to Garden Grove then fear no more as SteelCraft also offers other locations with the same concept of repurposed shipping containers. The other locations are in Bellflower, CA, and Long Beach, CA. Each location is different making each one worth the visit to see the variety of different vendors.
The entire purpose and goal for SteelCraft is to unite people and surrounding communities. By implementing these unique plots of land with plenty of space to offer networking this goal can be achieved. This place is perfect for having a small get-together with friends or if you simply just want a new place to discover by yourself.
More information regarding SteelCraft Garden Grove can be found here: https://steelcraftlb.com/steelcraft-garden-grove/

BỚT NÓI LẠI, LÀM NHIỀU LÊN!
10. Muốn cái gì thì lao vào mà làm, đừng ngồi ăn bánh vẽ nữa. Bớt lý thuyết lại, thực hành đi! ---

Video Fridays: Tears for Fears at Santa Barbara County Bowl 1990
Video Fridays: Tears for Fears at Santa Barbara County Bowl 1990
In 1990, when the concert that would become this week’s video was performed I was in my last year getting my B.A. in Journalism at Cal State Fullerton. Around that time I was writing for the Back Pages (film, music, culture) section of the Daily Titan newspaper. I got to see whoever was playing on campus for free and got to interview Thomas Dolby who was touring in support of his album, Aliens…
