Okay so this morning I saw on the news "the government taking steps to protect children online" and I PANICKED cause I thought it was KOSA, but it wasn't KOSA! It was this thing called Know2Protect. I don't know all the details, but from what I heard on the news (CBS), Know2Protect is basically a program that's meant to TEACH children and adults how to protect themselves online (as opposed to KOSA, which wants to censor the internet). I'm not entirely certain about this thing, but! Know2Protect SOUNDS like it might be the answer to our problem! It's what we wanted, right? For the government to teach people how to protect themselves from online predators instead of censoring the internet?

I redesigned Tootsy Wootsy out of boredom and made a AU at the same time while listening to some music. (Specifically Big and Loud)

The AU is called Inani-mate Revolution!

It's a AU where basically, before Pesty Besties, Tootsy Wootsy co-owns a little clutter of Inani-mates with Flamina, and eventually got caught into the competition.

And while he mentions that Inani-mates like the sensation of confetti'ing, that still means unaliving before his eyes. When it was his turn against Nickel Jr., he fails. However he had the chance to get away, and took it.

He manages to escape but that isn't without an injury. (Note: I didn't draw his injury, I'll do so later on-) And I'm guessing you know what happens next, Tootsy Wootsy starts a revolution against the contestants.

Though this AU is only a concept, I wanna see how y'all think about it! Feel free to repost this as I want people to know about this AU!

From what I can tell nothing happened with kosa

It hasn’t passed house it hasn’t passed senate (btw I found this on the official website)

So I’m 99% sure it was just a normal hearing today and that they didn’t vote on it

Also I couldn’t find anything about it passing today

But I will keep y’all updated!

reminder that the House is not voting on KOSA today! They’re literally just talking about the bill and if it will be a good idea or not iirc. Hearings are different from something being voted on!

Adding on from my last post about KOSA:

I know that many people think that if KOSA gets pushed through the Committee hearing next Wednesday--April 17th, then the Internet will instantly disappear...It won't. People tend to forget that there are many hoops a bill has to jump through in order to become a law. First, it has to be voted through the Committee, next it goes to the House of Representatives, next the Senate, then it goes back to the House for review, then it goes to the President to sign and even then, it takes about *18 months for it go into effect. **If I recall correctly, it may differ for each state. My point is, It will be a while before we see any real changes...but that doesn't mean we give up!

Here is the number for the Committee holding the hearing next Wednesday: [phone]; Call them. Urge the Committee to vote 'NO' to KOSA--as well as the Protecting Kids on Social Media Act (Leave your zip code so it'll count!) Remember: There is much less support for KOSA in the House of Representatives than the Senate. And, of course, Continue to call your Senators & your House Representative! Can't find your reps? This handy site lets you look them up via your address: https://www.congress.gov/members/find-your-member

Please spread this around as well. Don't panic. The only reason KOSA hasn't passed yet is because people have been vocal about it. Keep calling! Keep making noise!
