Not bad for girl from Romford... yes she is the hardest working and most beautiful girl to ever come out of Romford, but still well done. Well done indeed.

"For Someone Who Used AI to Write a Poem"
Now I let it pass back into darkness. I hear you. I know this life is hard now. I know your days are precious on this earth. But what are you trying to be free of? The living? The miraculous task of it? Love is for the ones who love the work.

Note
Well, A) Michelle Dockery not only rose to the occasion, but knocked it out of the park when Dan Stevens bailed at the end of season 3. She became the De Facto lead, and the more they threw at her, the more she showed she could handle. This can't work without her. B) Everyone is getting older, a lot of the older characters will need to be moved on. Mary was de facto lord of the manor at the end of the movie anyway. C) I can think of some really great story lines for Downton in the Pre-War period. For one thing Edith has a grudge against Hitler for killing Marigold's Dad AND runs a major magazine. In an England that was much more pro-appeasement than is generally admitted today, she would find herself in the political "wilderness" with Brendan Bracken and Winston Churchill. Mary's main desire is to preserve Downton at all costs. Given that the ONLY way to do that is to keep her and Matthew's son (George) alive, that would NOT put her in the same political camp as Edith and Churchill. How far will Mary go? Consider this, George was born in Sept 1921. That makes him 18 when war breaks out in Sept of 39. Mary will NOT want George to go off to war, because she loves him AND because he is the only surviving heir to Downton. George will want to go, because he's patriotic. big conflict with Mom coming up there.
So, they're bringing back Downton Abbey for a Season 7 and they're trying to get Dockery back.
I'm not sure where they're going to go and how they're going to get there ... but with this foolish and self-destructive entertainment strike, it might just be the biggest thing in the world when it comes back.
From what I understand a lot of it rides on Dockery coming back. So, I'm guessing she's going to be the main focus.
I have to say I’m not super enthusiastic about this idea. The show and the movies ended on a high. It tied up the loose ends nicely and left fans wanting more, which is how it should be. If they do another movie they can evaluate if the script and production will make for a worthy sequel. But TV shows are written as they film. And this is probably not a stand alone series. ITV probably want to introduce new characters to sustain the franchise. So there’s more questions than answers at this point.

"Life After People".
Back before the History Channel became nothing but "Alaska Backwoods Pawn Truckers" they had a show called "Life After People". It was all about what would happen after the entire human race just simultaneously died... but they never said WHAT happened to Humanity, so you were left wondering what could possibly kill everybody, everywhere, all at once....
Obviously this was before John Wick

Title: "A Deadly Affair at Downton"
Opening Shot: We see the grand entrance of Downton Abbey as the sun sets. The camera moves through the hallways, showing the opulence and grandeur of the mansion. Cut to a shot of DCI Jones and DS Nelson arriving at Downton Abbey.
Act One: Lady Mary invites the detectives to investigate a series of mysterious deaths that have occurred at the estate. The first victim is Henry Talbot, a former suitor of Lady Mary, who was killed in a riding accident. The detectives soon discover that there is a complex web of relationships and secrets within the family and staff at Downton Abbey.
Act Two: As the investigation progresses, the detectives discover that one of the staff members, a young maid named Daisy, has been poisoned. They also find out that Lady Edith has been blackmailed by Oswald Mosely, who threatens to expose her relationship with Michael Gregson after she wrote many anti-Nazi editorials in The Sketch.
Act Three: The detectives uncover more secrets as they investigate the deaths of several other named victims, including a riding instructor who was bludgeoned to death, and a local farmer who was impaled on a pitchfork. They also discover that Lord Grantham has been attempting to buy the village of Badgers Drift, leading to tension between the estate and the local community.
Act Four: The detectives confront the suspects, and after a tense conversation, they reveal that the killer is none other than Lady Mary's new suitor, a wealthy businessman who had been using the estate for his own financial gain. He had killed the victims in order to cover up his illegal activities, and had been manipulating the relationships and secrets within the family and staff at Downton Abbey in order to maintain his position of power.
Closing Shot: The killer is taken into custody, and the camera lingers on the grand mansion as the sun sets. The villagers are left to ponder the mysteries and secrets that lay hidden within the walls of Downton Abbey, while DCI Jones tries to resist his attraction to Lady Mary, and DCI Barnaby continues to ask Mrs. Patmore for her curry recipes. The episode ends with Lady Edith and Lady Mary reconciling over their shared experiences, and with the estate facing a new era of uncertainty and change.

Act One: Lady Grantham invites the detectives to investigate a series of mysterious deaths that have occurred at the estate. The first victim is a local cheese maker who had been making illegal cheese in the village. The detectives soon discover that there is a thriving black market for illegal cheese, and that several people in the village are involved in smuggling it into Downton Abbey.
Act Two: The investigation leads the detectives to a group of smugglers who are using the estate to store and sell illegal cheese to wealthy customers. The suspects include several members of the staff at Downton Abbey, as well as a number of local farmers who are involved in the illegal trade.
Act Three: As the detectives delve deeper into the case, they uncover a web of corruption and deceit that involves many of the suspects. They discover that the cheese maker had been murdered by one of the smugglers, who was afraid that he would reveal their secrets. The detectives also find evidence that links several of the suspects to the murders of several other people who had threatened to expose the illegal cheese trade.
Act Four: The detectives confront the suspects, and after a tense conversation, they reveal that the mastermind behind the illegal cheese trade is none other than Lady Grantham herself. She had been using her position of power to facilitate the smuggling of illegal cheese into Downton Abbey, and had ordered the murders of anyone who threatened to expose her secrets.
Closing Shot: Lady Grantham is taken into custody, and the camera lingers on the grand mansion as the sun sets. The villagers are left to ponder the mysteries and secrets that lay hidden within the walls of Downton Abbey, as the detectives leave the estate, knowing that justice has been

"These will be dispersed while supplies last. Humanitas will be prioritizing writers who are early in their careers."

Coronation Thoughts So today was the coronation of  King Charles III.  There was a lot of talk about the Royal Family, and Prince Harry in particular. Personally I have no interest in Prince Harry.  I’m rather sick of seeing him and his wife go onto Oprah to promote a new book about how much they want the press to leave them alone. I am however, puzzled about one thing Harry and Meghan will, no doubt, someday have to do, parenting-wise. You see, Harry and Meghan have two kids, Archie (age 4), and Lilibet ( age 1 ½).   Archie and Lilibet are 6th and 7th in line for the British Throne.  (This is particularly interesting because Lilibet, by virtue of being born in California is an American citizen.) What interests me though isn’t the remote prospect of an American taking the British throne.  What I want to know is how they plan to explain to their kids that, but for Mom getting her ego bent out of shape, they wouldn't be living in California. No, they would LITERALLY be living in a palace, being treated like royalty, and dating knights, millionaires, and princesses. Yeah… that’s going to go over REAL well with a 14 year old…..

Stupidity.
Some people see stupidity as a handicap
Others see their stupidity as a challenge. They embrace it. They become it. Then they feel compelled to push the boundaries of stupidity and make new advances in the field. They are kind of like the Stephen Hawkings of stupidity... and a depressingly large number of them work for the government.
