New Simblr Alert 🌿

this is my "hi friends!" post!

people on the internet call me Lime, I'm 27, nonbinary and living in the US. I like horror, video games and reading victorian ghost stories, but I spend a lot of my free time playing the sims 4.

my interest in history (anything before 1980) keeps growing and I really like more vintage sims gameplay. i'm going to use this blog to post my gameplay and builds I create.

when I use cc its mainly maxis match but can appreciate all the different kinds of content out there! I only play the sims 4 but love watching people play all the sims games.

This is all I've finished so far, but marrying modern and sleek with natural woods and greenery makes me so happy; modern styling is generally out of my comfort zone but i like 🥰

The Millard Family | 1912

George celebrates his eighteenth birthday, and officially begins his adult life! His parents, of course, are extremely proud to have raised such a good, hard-working son.

Having become an adult, George now earns much more money, but he also works much longer hours at his job as a gardener. Even so, whenever he is not working, he still finds time to help his mother with her vegetable garden.

George’s working life may be going well, but he is not completely satisfied with his life. He hopes to start a family one day, but he has not yet met a young lady to marry. He occasionally sees Florence in town, but it seems that she is already married to a rich young man. Even so, she still smiles at George from a distance, as if she and George are still the same teenage lovers that they once were.

Even though George is having relationship troubles, Thomas seems to be doing rather well. Mary Anderson, a local fisherman’s daughter, has become very close to Thomas, and has been visiting the Millards’ cottage almost every evening after Thomas finishes work.

Elizabeth seems to have taken a liking to young Mary. She can see that Mary knows how to make Thomas smile, and she appreciates her confident personality. She is particularly impressed when Mary talks about her dream of becoming a fisherwoman - it seems that today’s women are capable of doing ‘men’s work’ and providing for themselves!

William, however, is much less impressed with Mary. The men in his family have always married gentle, motherly women who stay at home while their husbands work. The idea of his son marrying such a confident, ambitious woman makes him a little uneasy.

But when Thomas excitedly tells him about how happy Mary makes him, William can’t help but smile back at his son. Perhaps he should give this young lady a chance after all.

the problem with trying to build a house that looks "1920" on the exterior is it also looks modern day because so many of the styles exist today, there's nothing about them that stand out unless you lean hard art deco 🙃

this is very not sims related and I'll probably try and keep these posts to a minimum but anyone out there in the sim world also into death positivity/eco death/Catlin Doughty? I'm on her second book and have watched so much of her YouTube, it's something I've been passionate about for a long time. wish it was something I could incorporate more into the sims tbh, maybe I can and im just not reaching far enough.
