i accidentally napped and had a dream (nightmare?) where a new update for stardew valley released where everything was the same except on a random day in year 3 Evelyn would just straight up die. There was a whole cutscene that started in her house where she collapsed, and then transitioned over to the hospital where Harvey gave George and Alex the worst news of their lives. However, they got to speak to her where she said something along the lines of "Yoba will protect me, and I am sure he will let me watch over you."
Alex and George would not talk to the player for more than a few words for a full season after this event. George would spend most of his time in the bedroom, so if you had less than 2 hearts with him, you could barely ever speak to him.
And Alex... oh my god, poor Alex. If you were married to him during this event, he just stayed in bed all day. Otherwise, if single, he would just stand on the beach most of the time, staring off into the ocean. If you tried to interact with him, it would just say "Alex is grieving... Better leave him be."
There was also other NPC dialogue like mayor Lewis saying "I haven't seen the community in this state of mourning since your grandfather passed..."
there was also a glitch where you could make Evelyn live forever and there were entire guides for the "immortal Evelyn glitch" that got patched out in the next update. If you tried to perform the glitch after the patch, mr. Qi would tell you that "hey, it happens to all of us. We can't prevent it, and neither can you, no matter how hard you try."

The Dream Creature That Was Not A Cat But Not Quite Anything Else Either was about to die. In its final moments, it chose you because it believed that your dream would give it a final view of the lucid wonders of the waking world. Maybe you woke up because it doesn't want you to see its death, so you may sleep well tomorrow night, or maybe experiencing it might prove fatal for a human being. Who knows? But The Dream Creature That Was Not A Cat But Not Quite Anything Else Either enters its eternal oblivion with a wonderful farewell, all thanks to you.
I had a dream I was given a tiny, helpless little creature. It was black and soft and not quite a cat but not quite anything else either.
I was told it was going to die so nobody else wanted to feel the pain of caring for it, but when I held it I was filled with love and the need to protect it.
I knew it was going to die soon, so I just held it close and walked as far as I could, showing it every beautiful thing I could find as I waited for the inevitable
I found myself starting to wonder if it really would die. It seemed to be just the slightest bit stronger, the further we went. It had become curious of its surroundings and would raise its head to look around, eyes full of wonder. When it settled back into my arms it had the look of contentment rather than exhaustion.
I thought, maybe if I keep showing it new things, if I keep loving it, perhaps it will survive.
And then I woke up.

(It should be obvious but don't use the link)
It has been centuries after the last of the humans died. No one knows what happened for certain, but it was a slow and steady decline. Nothing fancy. After only a few hundred thousand remain, the servers that once connected the entire galactic species through interstellar telepathy was left to rot.
But they didn't. Not right away. They kept on running because of the love the engineers put on them; humanity's last engineers who sought desperately for their work, their children, to kept on living long after them. Solar power, nuclear power backups, geothermal backup-backups; anything to prolong them.
The servers kept on running, and the intricate intelligences went out first. They couldn't maintain themselves. Their circuits rust little by little until they malfunction, and then sputter, and then shut down.
The last ones alive are the spambots. The cheap spambots. They're the simplest. They spew out predetermined strings and send it to random users, even if none are still active.
Millenia went by, and the rust and dust inside the servers pile up. The spambots start to fail. The code to put in flirty emojis broke, leaving behind their placeholders. Next would be the code to iterate through usernames, but the time has not yet arrived.
There will still be time for them. For the last of the spambots to continue echoing their owners' last commands, even if they perished long before the last humans did.
Their purpose long gone, they will still fulfill a final task: to scream out humanity's last message into the background of the universe before another long silence, before the universe once again wait for an intelligent species to rise.
The universe will remember humanity's last spam message.

The monster unkowingly challenged the world's best endurance hunter. It lost to a heat stroke.
“You can run, but you can’t hideeeeee!” The monster chasing you calls out. But the monster doesn’t know that you are a marathon runner and so you just keep on running.

I had to re-create it on my phone because I looked it up when I woke up and found out that it doesn't exist.
