I'm 36 and disabled...

recently saw someone's "advice for your 30s" which included something like "never get on the floor without having an escape plan for getting back up" and um. if you are otherwise able bodied and having trouble getting up from the floor in your 30s. you are very unhealthy. yes, even, if not especially, for that age.

Autism culture is knowing you only stay friend with people like you but noticing after some years that those people don't seem to enjoy talking that much with you and make plans without you. And the more it goes the more you feel like an outcast between your (clearly neurodivergent) circle of friends and understanding that you are, in fact, the only autistic person. And finishing with the idea that yeah, you will have to live this all day everyday and your life will basically be hell.

I'm currently only using Tumblr for social media. Other places have become too hostile. Other places make me feel like I don't deserve to exist and should be ashamed of existing in the first place. At least on Tumblr I can enjoy people's creations and I can laugh at silly content even if no one ever interacts with anything I post. Even if when I write here it's just like me writing into the void.. It feels safe here.
