Loneliness and Oblivion ~ Suspended Threads

After the separation from Master Fu, Marinette walks along the station platforms, just as she walked along the banks of the Seine immediately after what she believed was their first meeting. Thanks to the key, she discovers the gifts Fu has left her knowing the future.

Marinette walks along the Seine.

Marinette finds a letter intended only for her, and not for Chat Noir as well. Master Fu had identified Ladybug as his heir, but he did not need to teach Adrien the sense of loss, because Adrien had already had to deal with the pain of his mother's disappearance.

The awareness of loss.

Along with the letter, Marinette finds the gramophone, which had kept the Miracle Box, and Marianne's photo. Fu had had to give up even the most precious photo, the image of his only memory of the woman he loved, because he could not keep it with him, once his memories were lost.

The farewell gift.

If he had kept Marianne's photo, Fu would have recognized her as the woman he had apparently met by chance in front of the train. He would have guessed that Marianne had already been part of his past and therefore his declaration of love would have had a different intensity.

The erased memory.

The sacrifice of the photo had a double purpose: Fu was preparing himself to find his beloved woman and Marinette had to figure out the reason why he had left her the photo along with the letter. The woman who had read Marinette's love letter for Adrien had given her back a gift.

The unexpected gift.

"Listen to your heart" are the words that represent Marianne and Adrien's way of loving. He had pronounced those words looking at the sky: "I wasn't thinking. I was following my heart", when as Chat Noir he had chosen to respect the secret of Ladybug's identity.

Love and respect.

Although it has faded from Fu's memories, with her silence Marianne holds the secret of Ladybug's identity. Who could ever be the girl who accompanies the guardian of the Miraculouses without his memory, to reunite him with the love of his life, if not the heroine chosen by him?

Secret kept.

However, during her akumatization, Marianne had even come to doubt that Ladybug was Fu's right choice because Ladybug had sacrificed her Chat Noir. Time rewinds but turns the doubt into a silent warning: "Don't sacrifice your Chat Noir".

The silent warning.

Chat Noir is the first gift that Master Fu had chosen for Ladybug, but she had decided to emotionally sacrifice Chat Noir for the love of Adrien without knowing that by doing so, in an ironic twist, she would lose both of them. The world without Chat Noir is the world without Adrien.

Zero chance.

By imposing on herself to give up listening to her heart, Marinette finds herself experiencing everything she had always feared and tried to avoid: losing Adrien. The secret message in Marianne's photo is an enigma that Marinette was unable to solve.

The unsolved enigma.

The old black and white photo of Marianne is the one memory of Fu's first and only love. During the war, Marianne and Fu had been able to meet and fall in love because Fu had arrived in Paris and, in the aftermath of the destruction of the Guardians' Temple, was no longer a monk.

However, Fu's youthful mistake using the Peacock Miraculous has spilled over to the brooch which, used by Émilie, plunged her into a deep sleep. All that remains to Adrien to remember his mother's smile is a digitized photo of a very young Émilie.

For Fu and Adrien, a photograph becomes the only memory to see again the visage of a deeply loved woman. Marianne knew the secrets of the Miraculouses, Émilie had used the brooch lost by Fu. The two women have the same green eyes and the same sweet smile.

The loneliness that has veiled Marianne's green eyes for years is the same loneliness in Adrien's green eyes and is also the one experienced by Émilie beside an extremely problematic man. Solitude, the film starring Émilie, is perhaps the story of their lives.

La solitudine e la dimenticanza ~ Fili sospesi

Dopo la separazione dal maestro Fu, Marinette cammina lungo i binari della stazione, così come camminava lungo le rive della Senna subito dopo quello che credeva essere stato il loro primo incontro. Grazie alla chiave, lei scopre i doni che Fu le ha lasciato conoscendo il futuro.

Marinette trova una lettera destinata solo a lei e non anche a Chat Noir. Il maestro Fu aveva individuato Ladybug come sua erede, ma non aveva bisogno di insegnare ad Adrien il senso della perdita, perché Adrien aveva già dovuto affrontare il dolore della scomparsa della madre.

La consapevolezza della perdita.

Insieme alla lettera, Marinette trova il grammofono, che aveva custodito lo scrigno, e la foto di Marianne. Fu aveva dovuto rinunciare anche alla foto più preziosa, l'immagine dell'unico ricordo della donna amata, perché non avrebbe potuto tenerla con sé, una volta persi i ricordi.

Il dono dell'addio.

Se avesse conservato la foto di Marianne, Fu avrebbe riconosciuto in lei la donna incontrata apparentemente per caso davanti al treno. Lui avrebbe intuito che Marianne aveva già fatto parte del suo passato e anche la sua dichiarazione d'amore avrebbe avuto una diversa intensità.

Il ricordo cancellato.

Il sacrificio della foto aveva un duplice scopo: Fu si predisponeva a ritrovare la donna amata e Marinette a dover capire il motivo per cui lui le aveva lasciato la foto insieme alla lettera. La donna che aveva letto la sua lettera d'amore per Adrien le aveva restituito un dono.

Il dono inaspettato.

"Ascolta il tuo cuore" sono le parole che rappresentano il modo di amare di Marianne e di Adrien. Lui le aveva pronunciate guardando il cielo: "Non ho riflettuto. Ho solo seguito il mio cuore", quando come Chat Noir aveva scelto di rispettare il segreto dell'identità di Ladybug.

Amore e rispetto.

Anche se è svanito dai ricordi di Fu, con il suo silenzio Marianne custodisce il segreto dell'identità di Ladybug. Chi potrebbe mai essere la ragazza che accompagna il guardiano dei Miraculous senza memoria per ricongiungerlo al suo amore di sempre, se non l'eroina scelta da lui?

Il segreto al sicuro.

Tuttavia, durante la sua akumizzazione, Marianne era arrivata persino a dubitare che Ladybug fosse la scelta giusta di Fu perché Ladybug aveva sacrificato il suo Chat Noir. Il tempo si riavvolge ma trasforma il dubbio in un silenzioso monito: "Non sacrificare il tuo Chat Noir".

Chat Noir è il primo dono che il maestro Fu aveva scelto per Ladybug, ma lei aveva deciso di sacrificare emotivamente Chat Noir per amore di Adrien senza sapere che, così facendo, per ironia della sorte, li avrebbe persi entrambi. Il mondo senza Chat Noir è il mondo senza Adrien.

Nessuna possibilità.

Imponendo a se stessa di rinunciare ad ascoltare il suo cuore, Marinette si ritrova a vivere tutto quello che aveva sempre temuto e che aveva cercato di scongiurare: perdere Adrien. Il messaggio segreto nella foto di Marianne è un enigma che Marinette non è riuscita a sciogliere.

L'enigma insoluto.

La vecchia foto in bianco e nero di Marianne è il solo ricordo del primo e unico amore di Fu. Durante la guerra, Marianne e Fu avevano potuto conoscersi ed innamorarsi perché Fu era giunto a Parigi e, a seguito della distruzione del Tempio dei Guardiani, non era più un monaco.

Ma l'errore di gioventù compiuto da Fu usando il Miraculous del Pavone si è riversato sulla spilla che, usata da Émilie, la fa precipitare in un sonno profondo. Tutto ciò che resta ad Adrien per ricordare il sorriso della madre è una foto digitalizzata di una giovanissima Émilie.

Per Fu e per Adrien, una fotografia diventa l'unico ricordo per rivedere il viso di una donna profondamente amata. Marianne conosceva i segreti dei Miraculous, Émilie aveva utilizzato la spilla perduta da Fu. Le due donne hanno gli stessi occhi verdi e lo stesso dolce sorriso.

Marianne e Émilie.

La solitudine che ha velato per anni gli occhi verdi di Marianne è la stessa solitudine negli occhi verdi di Adrien ed è anche quella vissuta da Émilie accanto ad un uomo estremamente problematico. Solitude, il film interpretato da Émilie, è forse la storia delle loro vite.

La gabbia dorata.

Nella solitudine di Marinette risuona l'eco della solitudine di Émilie, una storia nella storia, raccontata in un film d'amore in bianco e nero da una donna che cammina da sola sotto la pioggia e tende la mano per accarezzarla, trovando rifugio sotto il suo ombrello nero.

Adrien è stato attore nella vita realmente vissuta da Émilie e spettatore della storia interpretata dalla madre nel film. Quando Adrien dà a Marinette l'ombrello nero per ripararla dalla pioggia, in lei confluiscono i fili sospesi dei destini intrecciati di tutti loro.

Loneliness and Oblivion ~ Gifts

Fu: "I will never forget you".

Marinette witnesses as a spectator the miracle of rediscovered love, as if it had just blossomed, a love that is wounded but not bent by the pain of life. She is unaware of the gift that Marianne has offered her and which she should treasure by returning to listen to her heart and instinct.

The exchange of gifts.

Marinette gives Fu a box of macarons, coloured like the potions, even though she knows that her gesture can't remind him of their first meeting. Fu tells her: "Thank you, young lady", just like when she had offered him a macaron after passing the test to become Ladybug.

Fu says goodbye to her: "I will never forget you", but he doesn't know that he has already forgotten her. However, before getting on the train, Fu just turns to look at her one last time, almost as if he feels he has left something pending and that the time to part with her has not come yet.

Master and pupil.

In the exchange of gifts offered and received, the last teaching is missing. Marinette remains tied to her point of reference, her master who chose her and taught her the secrets of the Miraculouses. The help she offered to save Fu's life completely changed her existence.

Fu recognizes the heart of a heroine.

Marinette holds back her tears until the train departs. She knows that Fu has finally found his happiness next to Marianne and she wishes she could only rejoice for it. But the separation is bitter because she can't help but think about how much Fu had to sacrifice.

Beyond the role of guardian, Marinette inherits from Master Fu also the regret of having waited too long to declare her feelings to her beloved and she leaves with a broken heart because she feels that she has missed the right moment and that it is too late now.

This is the message of the letter that Marinette had written for Adrien and that had arrived by mistake in Marianne's hands. The message caused her such intense pain that Marianne lost hope in true love and she was akumatized: "This means that it is too late for the two of us?".

But each letter has its receiver: Marinette's love message for Adrien was full of hope to live a future together, but it couldn't be the right message for Marianne, who had waited all her life for Fu's return to discover that there was no more time.

La solitudine e la dimenticanza ~ I doni

Fu: "Non ti dimenticherò mai".

Marinette assiste come spettatrice al miracolo dell'amore ritrovato, come fosse appena sbocciato, un amore ferito ma non piegato dal dolore della vita. È inconsapevole del dono che Marianne le ha offerto e di cui dovrebbe fare tesoro, tornando ad ascoltare il cuore e l'istinto.

Lo scambio di doni.

Marinette regala a Fu una scatola di macaron, colorati come le pozioni, pur sapendo che il gesto non può ricordargli il loro primo incontro. Fu le dice: "Grazie signorina", proprio come quando lei gli aveva offerto un macaron dopo aver superato la prova per diventare Ladybug.

Fu la saluta: "Non ti dimenticherò mai", e non sa che l'ha già dimenticata. Tuttavia, prima di salire sul treno, Fu si volta solo per guardarla un'ultima volta, quasi come se sentisse di aver lasciato qualcosa in sospeso e che non è ancora giunto il momento di separarsi da lei.

Maestro e discepola.

Nello scambio di doni offerti e ricevuti, manca l'ultimo insegnamento. Marinette rimane legata al suo punto di riferimento, al maestro che l'ha scelta e le ha insegnato i segreti dei Miraculous. L'aiuto offerto per salvare la vita a Fu ha cambiato completamente la sua esistenza.

Fu riconosce il cuore di un'eroina.

Marinette trattiene le lacrime fino alla partenza del treno. Lei sa che Fu ha finalmente trovato la sua felicità accanto a Marianne e vorrebbe poter solo gioire per questo. Ma la separazione è amara perché lei non può fare a meno di pensare a quanto Fu abbia dovuto sacrificare.

Oltre al ruolo di guardiana, Marinette eredita dal maestro Fu anche il rimpianto di aver aspettato troppo a lungo per dichiarare i suoi sentimenti alla persona amata e va via con il cuore spezzato perché sente di aver perso il momento giusto per farlo e che ormai è troppo tardi.

È il messaggio della lettera che Marinette aveva scritto per Adrien e che era arrivata per errore nelle mani di Marianne, provocandole un dolore così intenso tanto da farle perdere la speranza nel vero amore fino ad akumizzarla: "Questo significa che è troppo tardi per noi due?".

Ma ogni lettera ha il suo destinatario: il messaggio d'amore di Marinette per Adrien era pieno di speranza per vivere un futuro insieme, ma non poteva essere il messaggio giusto per Marianne, che aveva atteso tutta la vita il ritorno di Fu per scoprire che non c'era più tempo.

Loneliness and Oblivion ~ Marianne and Fu

The destinies of Marinette and Adrien are intertwined with Marianne and Fu's lives: two love stories beyond memory and lost time.

The promise.

In order to protect Ladybug and Chat Noir's identities and to prevent Hawk Moth from discovering them, Master Fu performs the ritual to pass the Miracle box to Ladybug, despite being aware that he has to sacrifice his memories. By losing his memory, Master Fu also loses his identity.

The ritual to pass the Miracle box.

In Oblivio, Master Fu had been spared from losing his memory and had been able to help Marinette and Adrien who had lost their memories and were not aware of their identities. By passing the role of guardian to Ladybug, Master Fu is condemned to lose his memory.

The phone call to Master Fu.

Sitting alone on the bench where they had met again after decades, Master Fu looks at a black and white photo of Marianne and thinks back to all the moments he had lived with her, already knowing that he would have forgotten her with the regret of never having made a true declaration of love to her.

The last glance.

Loneliness marked Fu's life, first as a monk and then as a guardian, forcing Marianne too into an infinite wait that risked being in vain because he had hesitated or waited too long. While waiting for love, the memories of that love have now vanished.

The awareness of loss.

When Fu sees Marianne at the station, he is seized with a deep emotion. Although Fu thinks he has just met her, his heart beats as if he has known her forever. As happened to Marinette and Adrien in Oblivio, feelings re-emerge from the unconscious and magic happens.

Fu recognizes the green eyes of love.

In Oblivio, Adrien doesn't need memories to know he loves Marinette and can't hide his identity from her. In a symbolic exchange, Adrien gives back to Master Fu the possibility of recognizing Marianne as the woman he has loved all his life even without his memories.

Adrien: "I don't need any memory to know that I love that girl".

The wait was long, but it was not in vain. Marianne receives the most beautiful declaration of love she could ever have heard, because it was born from the heart of the man she has always loved, from his feelings never faded that have broken the boundaries of memory and his lost memories.

Fu: "I've only just met you and yet my heart is beating as if I've known you forever".

Marianne is happy to be reunited with Fu and softly replies: "Always listen to your heart". However, in Marianne's heart there can't not be sadness for the condition of her beloved. Together they can create new memories, but she is the only keeper of their past.

Their fond farewell.

Marianne delicately takes Fu's hands to give him back a caress, a memory of their life from the moment they separated and found each other, knowing they will never leave each other again. In an instant of clarity, the memory seems to resurface and regain the lost identity.

An instant of happiness.

The scene is a metaphor that represents the loneliness of an elderly man who loses the memories of the affections of his entire life, when his memory is attacked by a disease such as Alzheimer's. Not only him, but also those who love him must live with the specter of lost memories.

Marianne: "You should always trust your heart".

La solitudine e la dimenticanza ~ Marianne e Fu

I destini di Marinette e Adrien si intrecciano con le vite di Marianne e Fu: due storie d'amore oltre la memoria e il tempo perduto.

La promessa.

Per proteggere le identità di Ladybug e Chat Noir ed impedire che Papillon le scopra, il maestro Fu compie il rituale di passaggio dello scrigno a Ladybug, pur essendo consapevole di dover sacrificare i suoi ricordi. Perdendo la memoria, il maestro Fu perde anche la sua identità.

Il passaggio dello scrigno dei Miraculous.

In Oblivio, il maestro Fu era stato risparmiato dal perdere la memoria ed aveva potuto aiutare Marinette e Adrien che avevano perduto i loro ricordi e non erano consapevoli delle loro identità. Nel passaggio di ruolo a Ladybug, il maestro Fu è condannato a perdere la sua memoria.

La telefonata al maestro Fu.

Seduto da solo sulla panchina dove si erano rivisti dopo decenni, il maestro Fu guarda una foto di Marianne in bianco e nero e ripensa a tutti i momenti vissuti con lei, già sapendo che l'avrebbe dimenticata con il rimpianto di non averle mai fatto una vera dichiarazione d'amore.

L'ultimo sguardo.

La solitudine ha segnato la vita di Fu, prima come monaco e poi come guardiano, costringendo anche Marianne ad un'attesa infinita che ha rischiato di rivelarsi vana per aver esitato o aspettato troppo a lungo. Nell'attesa dell'amore, i ricordi di quell'amore sono ormai svaniti.

La consapevolezza della perdita.

Quando Fu vede Marianne alla stazione, è colto da una profonda emozione. Nonostante Fu creda di averla appena incontrata, il suo cuore batte come se la conoscesse da sempre. Come accaduto a Marinette e Adrien in Oblivio, i sentimenti riemergono dall'inconscio ed avviene la magia.

Fu riconosce gli occhi verdi dell'amore.

In Oblivio, Adrien non ha bisogno dei ricordi per sapere di amare Marinette e non può nasconderle la sua identità. In uno scambio simbolico, Adrien restituisce al maestro Fu la possibilità di riconoscere Marianne come la donna che ha amato per tutta la vita anche senza ricordi.

Adrien: "Non ho bisogno dei ricordi per sapere di amare quella ragazza".

L'attesa è stata lunga, ma non è stata vana. Marianne riceve la dichiarazione d'amore più bella che avesse mai potuto ascoltare, perché è nata dal cuore dell'uomo che ha sempre amato, dai suoi sentimenti mai sopiti che hanno infranto i confini della memoria e dei ricordi perduti.

Fu: "Ti ho appena incontrata eppure il mio cuore batte come se ti conoscesse da sempre".

Marianne è felice per essersi ricongiunta a Fu e dolcemente gli risponde: "Ascolta sempre il tuo cuore". Tuttavia nel cuore di Marianne non può non esserci tristezza per la condizione del suo amato. Insieme potranno creare nuovi ricordi, ma lei è l'unica custode del loro passato.

Lo struggente addio.

Marianne prende le mani di Fu con delicatezza per restituirgli una carezza, un ricordo della loro vita del momento in cui si erano separati e ritrovati, sapendo che non si lasceranno più. In un istante di lucidità, la memoria sembra riaffiorare e riconquistare l'identità perduta.

Un istante di felicità.

La scena è una metafora che rappresenta la solitudine di un anziano che perde i ricordi degli affetti di tutta la sua vita, quando la memoria viene aggredita da una malattia come l'Alzheimer. Non soltanto lui, ma anche chi lo ama deve convivere con lo spettro dei ricordi perduti.

Marianne: "Ascolta sempre il tuo cuore".

Carnival Miraculous Masks Biscuits

🐞💞🐾 Ladybug and Chat Noir's power up masks.

This is my sweet tribute to Thomas Astruc, Wilfried Pain and Jeremy Zag to celebrate Carnival: masks biscuits in pasta frolla and chocolate inspired by the characters of  Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noir.

🐞 Ladybug's power up masks.

The masks have been made of pasta frolla covered by dark chocolate for the black parts and by white chocolate with the addition of food colours to obtain different shades of colours.

Each mask has unique characteristics to reproduce, in terms of shape and colours, such as three shades of green for Jade Turtle's mask, aquamarine green for Aspik and Snake Noir's masks, or three shades of purple for Shadow Moth's mask.

The metallic silver effect and the gold effect have been obtained by using silver and gold food colours applied to white chocolate.

Silver food colour has been used on many masks, such as Chat Blanc, Multimouse and her fusions, the power up for Ladybug and Chat Noir, Uncanny Valley and Eagle. Gold food colour has been used on Carapace, King Monkey, Sparrow, Uncanny Valley and Eagle's masks.

🐾 Chat Noir's power up masks.

Carnival was the perfect occasion to make mask shaped biscuits but, in Miraculous world, holidays can also be celebrated out of season.

It was fun to make the masks, by obtaining more than twenty different colours and by applying colour theory to patisserie. It certainly took longer to decorate them than to eat them.

With new heroes receiving a Miraculous, there will always be new masks biscuits to make, at Carnival or in other periods of the year.

Maschere di Carnevale di Miraculous

🐞💞🐾 Maschere dei potenziamenti di Ladybug e Chat Noir.

Questo è il mio dolce omaggio a Thomas Astruc, Wilfried Pain e Jeremy Zag per festeggiare il Carnevale: le maschere di pasta frolla e cioccolato dedicate ai personaggi di Miraculous Ladybug e Chat Noir.

🐞 Maschere dei potenziamenti di Ladybug.

Le maschere sono state realizzate con la pasta frolla ricoperta di cioccolato fondente per le parti scure e di cioccolato bianco con l'aggiunta di coloranti alimentari per ottenere le diverse sfumature di colore.

Ogni maschera ha caratteristiche uniche da riprodurre, per forma e colori, come le tre tonalità di verde per la maschera di Jade Turtle, il verde acquamarina per le maschere di Aspik e Serpent Noir, o le tre tonalità di viola per la maschera di Papillombres.

L'effetto argento metallico e l'effetto oro sono stati ottenuti grazie a coloranti alimentari argento e oro applicati al cioccolato bianco.

Il colore argento è stato utilizzato su molte maschere come quelle di Chat Blanc, Multimouse e le sue fusioni, i potenziamenti di Ladybug e Chat Noir, Uncanny Valley e Eagle. Il colore oro è stato utilizzato sulle maschere di Carapace, Roi Singe, Sparrow, Uncanny Valley e Eagle.

🐾 Maschere dei potenziamenti di Chat Noir.

La festa di Carnevale è stata l'occasione perfetta per realizzare dolci a forma di maschera ma, nel mondo di Miraculous, le festività possono essere celebrate anche fuori stagione.

È stato divertente realizzare le maschere, ottenendo più di venti colori diversi e applicando la teoria dei colori alla pasticceria. Certamente c'è voluto più tempo per decorarle che per mangiarle.

Con i nuovi eroi che ricevono un Miraculous, ci saranno sempre nuove maschere da realizzare, a Carnevale o in altri periodi dell'anno.

Uncanny Valley doesn't have the mask, but I made it inspired by her design. To highlight her three eyes, I used the silver food colour, reproducing the robotic effect, and I decorated the edge of the mask with gold powder like the junctures of her body.

Uncanny Valley non ha la maschera, ma l'ho realizzata ispirandomi al suo design. Per far risaltare i suoi tre occhi, ho utilizzato il color argento, riproducendo l'effetto robotico, e ho decorato il bordo della maschera con polvere d'oro come le giunture del corpo.

I made Eagle's mask by highlighting the outline of the eyes. I used the silver food colour to obtain a brilliant effect and decorated the eagle beak with gold powder.

Ho realizzato la maschera di Eagle facendo risaltare il contorno degli occhi. Ho utilizzato il color argento per ottenere un effetto brillante e ho decorato il becco dell'aquila con polvere d'oro.
