5. “Uruwashiki Shuen”
Overview: (spoilers)
this was a one shot set in zombie apocalypse land where the black haired guy and blonde are the ones left. Black haired was a delinquent from rough background who fell in love with blond after he showed him kindness for first time (as usual) though blonde saw them as just classmates. Cue the apocalypse and blonde is panicking cause he can’t find his gf. Go back to school to search and see she has turned and bites him. He goes existential but black hair will not live without him so he does what he needs to for them to survive.
Opinion:
It was okay, I mean it was a one shot where black hair is obsessively in love with blonde and will do anything to keep him so that was interesting, but blonde’s character was boring and I would’ve liked to see more of his thoughts or emotions (though I guess bleak is an emotion he had excess of) overall a decent one shot that I would reread if it came down to it (short)

Just a bit of decluttering in my phone.
First manga recommendation is: “Hatsukoi no Tonari (Yaoi)”
Bl manga where seme moves in next door to uke and thinks he’s cute.
-seme is teacher in his 30s -Uke is old student in his 20s so age gap!!! And previous student/teacher relationship but like it doesn’t feel weird?? It’s actually super cute and was only 6 chapters!
They meet up again after some time apart and at first seme doesn’t recognize uke nor remember his confession from high school. He thinks uke likes him and when he gently confronts him, he is reminded of the confession that he didn’t realize was a confession in years past. Happy ending!

Manga 2: “Suki nante iwantoite”
Spoiler!
Summary: seme gets his heart broken by ex-wife who asked for divorce on Christmas. As he’s trying to throw a pity party for himself at the nearest bar he realizes he ended up in a gay bar. The bartender pities him and takes him home but when he wakes up there he realizes “wow I can get hard for men too” —🙄 anyways—and sleeps with bartender. What was supposed to just be a one night stand delves into a romance neither was prepared for. Uke plays hard to get (find out he’s fallen in love with seme already but has inferitorty complex bc he liked male friend in high school and thinks he’ll always lose since he’s not a woman). But seme is persistent and really likes him and they end up happy together in the end!
Short length at only 5 chapters—completed as far as the website I was on said
Opinion:
Umm not my favorite?? The story was honestly super confusing to read and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just me reading it while hanging in the living room with music on. It takes a little while to get into it cause there’s a lot of twisting and tiring in the story, more than I personally like but it was still a quick and cute story. I liked the uke character design and just personality the best of all characters!! (No names cause I’m shit with remembering any that legit aren’t right in front of me)

3 manga: “hanagara tsumi”
Summary:: (spoilers) omega verse where uke was bullied by seme but seme secretly liked him during high school and even now. Uke likes and hates seme/alpha bc of the bullying but captivating smell. They work together now in fashion industry (alpha’s family company) and uke is trying to not get annoyed by him too much yet alpha is annoying him since he still likes him and is shit at communicating this.
Opinion: honestly I stopped reading at the last screenshot there cause it was kinda boring? The art style is gorgeous but I just couldn’t get into it at the time when I read it. I’m hoping it was a in the moment kinda thing and I can just go read it later but yeah I didn’t even get to chapter 3 before I just stopped reading.

4. “Hana to usagi”
Summary: (spoilers) uke is delivery boy for recluse seme. Seme wears bunny head because he’s just incredibly awkward around others to the point that he never leaves house and always interacts with the bunny head on. Delivery boy is super curious about him—murderer? Psychopath??—when one day he comes to deliver the package, and catches him without the head and is like “let’s be besties.” Upon change in delivery neighborhoods he asks seme on date to amusement park—they realize it’s a date halfway through—and then they decide to date. Some miscommunication bc seme is making no moves so uke thinks they’re just a couple of besties. Frustration means uke storms out and anxiety means seme doesn’t call. Leads to confrontation week later and they resolve that they’re in love and definitely more than willing to fuck. Happy ending!! Also also a couple of side couples but they were boring so I didn’t take screenshots of those—screenshots were funny or cute moments I liked. I think one was piano guy?? But might’ve been different one…
Opinion:
So fricken cute!! Way too short and absolutely made me wanna read more!!! I’ve seen it before but just happened to scroll by before coming upon it and giving it a try. And boy was it worth it!! They’re both such fun characters and they totally make a girl giggle and shit!! Totally worth a reread of main story! It’s pretty shallow cause it’s legit just 3/4 chapters but like it’s a fun quick read
