"I'd want to see you try, William" he says, grinning from ear to ear like it's the biggest victory for him to give Billy Butcher super powers. he isn't a man that sits back and regrets his decisions, like how he handed compound V to foreigner.. what was that, creating super villains.. that plan seems now so distance and absurd compared to what he has now in his hand.

"you and me both know you can't hurt me, Billy. you need me as much as I need you" his voice giddy with joy when Butcher's eyes glow a beautiful shade of gold. the same color back when they faced each other with Soldier Boy by Billy's side. but never like this, he can remember it burnt when Billy threw him around by his laser. but his eyes weren't like this.. so alive and vibing with anger, blue V leaving its effect, changing his bones and filling his muscles, his heart now beating faster, with more power that Homelander can hear him clearly without needing to focus on his super hearing, like how he does with mud people. it's like their bodies are now in harmony, attracting each other and it never happened before, not with Stormfront, not with Maeve.

He steps forward, inching closer to the Brit, he raises a hand tentatively to cup Billy's face again, bites inside his cheek when looking right in his glowing eyes, like two flames, burning fires with no smoke but it's Billy's special scent that starts to return and getting stronger by each minutes passing that has John excited, fighting this urge to kiss the feral man only to taste him on his tongue..

"I think it's a start of something more special, Billy.. I'm starting to think maybe I won't kill you after this and maybe for once, we both can have what we really want"

Homelander smirks, tapping the vial to Billy's forehead once before sitting back, removing his knee. "Why fighting it, William? When it'll gift you abilities, heals your cancer too. You promised me an eye to eye fight, it won't be fair if you want out now.." without more words, he injects the bare needle in William's neck, holding the other man down when the drug takes over his system, changes his body, wounds closing, bones sliding against eachother, growing and remodeling him into a stronger anatomy.

He knew it'll work faster this way instead of injecting in his muscle, inserting V right in his vein, he can feel the changes under his hands that are pinning the Brit down.

He checks over William's vitals but his own heart is in his throat, can feel his pulse in his ears. The thrill of watching this man, his archenemy and his new obsession turn into someone like him..

But what if William will be stronger than him? Imagine if he ever 'be' stronger..holding John down, wrapping a hand around his neck.. or maybe, hell, he'll crash his bones one by one.. rip away his limbs after. what he said that night? Start with ear, fingers, tongue.. John's body shivers uncontrollably when he thinks about what William would do when he opens his eyes again but this time with V in his blood, leaning over the man underneath him. Combs unruly black strands out of his forehead, John brushs his lips on his "Now you're all mine, Billy.. perfect and all mine" .
