Swipe File #2: "The Incredible Hulk and Friends"
The photo-montage used to promote "The Incredible Hulk" television show (1978-1982) was recreated by artist Francisco Betancourt for the cover of "Sensacional de Terror" 526 (March 1989), substituting a werewolf for the final stage of transformation.
Five years later, Editorial Ejea re-used the artwork for "Leyendas de Terror" 8 (November 1994), changing the werewolf to a . . . zombie? At least he was green this time. The bikini-woman's face was also altered.

Swipe File #1: “Blood of Dracula” (1957)
["Swipe" refers to the appropriation of existing art and/or design elements, either actually cut-and-pasting or recreating images. I don't count deliberate parodies or imitations of art/design style, but your opinion may vary.]
Blood of Dracula was a 1957 film produced by Herman Cohen, who'd also made I Was a Teenage Werewolf and I Was a Teenage Frankenstein. I guess I Was a Teenage Dracula or I Was Teenage Vampire didn't sound quite right?
The Blood of Dracula poster is sometimes attributed to famed poster artist Reynold Brown, but it does not appear on the list here: https://reynoldbrown.com/portfolio/    However, Brown did do I Was a Teenage Werewolf for the same producer, so it’s possible this was also his work.
The poster appears to be based on a full-page illustration for the story “Heels Are Where You Find Them,” in “Adam” magazine (volume 1, number 10, dated 1957).  Charles Collum is credited for the art in some sources but not in the magazine itself.
Artist Bill Alexander created his version of the Blood of Dracula artwork for the cover of Eerie Publications’ “Tales of Voodoo” (vol. 7, #3, May 1974).  This was repeated in black-and-white as the back cover of “Weird Vampire Tales” v. 3 #2 1979 and the inside back cover of  v.3 #4 1980.
Phillip Scheer’s makeup design for the film’s angsty teen protagonist Nancy (played by Sandra Harrison) has become iconic on its own, and was adapted by an unknown artist for the Mexican comic book “Monstruos,” issue 70 (October 1964).

"Women Who Never Wed" -- "If you want to be happy, you'd better change --- fast!"
Men put on their hats and run away from the Self-Worshipping Woman: "All you think of is you, you, YOU! I'm sick of it -- and of you!"

"If you really loved me, you'd change your ideas to agree with mine! I can't see you ever again! Not unless you promise never to disagree with me!" (First Romance Magazine 29, 1954). What if we never discuss religion, politics, philosophy, sports, fashion, popular culture, nutrition, or any other controversial topic?

"Men are all alike. They make a lot of big promises but never keep even the little ones." "Ted is different!" (Diary Secrets 10, 1952). Ted knows just what to say ("You're cute as a flute!") and his kisses carry an "electric thrill!"

"He's a wonderful guy. I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to neck with him." (Diary Secrets 12, 1952, originally from 1949). Mother: "Boys object to no kissing less than to a girl who kisses a little and then stops." Better a prude than a tease, Joyce!
[Joyce believes high school is "too young for serious love," and Kent agrees that "kissing leads to trouble."]

"A book of poetry is no substitute for a real, live man . . . I've got to rush to meet Dick!" (Love Confessions 10, 1951). Really, really tempted, but since I'm not 12 years old, I'll just post this without further comment.

#RomanceComicsTuesday: "I wonder if Mal likes sports as much as he loves me! He wants to play basketball after we're married! I couldn't bear that!" (Love Confessions 10, 1951). Joy knows playing professional basketball is a dead-end career, nobody ever got rich doing THAT.

"If Lola and Jerry want to make love in the presence of others . . . that's their business! But for me, making love to my wife in public cheapens that love!" (Boy Meets Girl 18, 1951). And just like that, Mary's dream of making lots of money on OnlyFans came to an end.
[Obviously, by "making love in the presence of others" Alex is referring to public displays of affection like hugging & kissing. Not, you know, actually "doing it."]

"We aren't going to be married, until I'm sure you're not going to wreck my life!" (Complete Love Magazine 165, 1952). Lorna promises "I won't be like that when we're married!" Well, alright, if you promise you'll change, I guess nothing could possibly go wrong. It's not like a lot of married couples are unhappy and get divorced.

Romance Comics Tuesday: "I don't know whether or not it's love but it hurts!"
Seems like nearly every romance comics story has a scene in which the protagonist lies in bed and contemplates (often tearfully) her sad & lonely life. Here are a few examples.
Clockwise from top left: I Loved: Real Confession Stories 32 (1950), Diary Loves 6 (1950), I Love You 17 (1958), Heart Throbs 41 (1956).
