i can’t believe this is happening… i’ve been thinking of the al-shifa siege for the past five six days and it has literally made me sick. when will this end?
Funny how literally three film Best Oscar Best Picture nominees feature the subject of genocide, but you know that no one at the awards ceremony will ever bring up Palestine or Gaza or Colonialism.
Oh, I’m sure in 50 years they will make a brave movie.
Confession of a grieving Palestinian, forever away from home.
(For the record, hopelessness does not mean giving up. When you feel like you can do so little, just do what you can. Donate. Protest. Scream the truth.)
Reminder that in Gaza alone, around 90-95% of the water supply is contaminated and unfit for human consumption...
If you dont believe israel is capable of this evilness (that they've been enforcing for OVER 50 YEARS) read it for yourself, from AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
These two kids are Hamza (the oldest) and Qusai (the youngest).
Their mother shares this video and bids them goodbye. They were both killed by Israeli bombardment 5 days ago. She says:
[Two days before Hamza and Qusai were killed, hamza asked me: "mom, when we die, where will I go?" And I told him: "you will be a bird in heaven, my love." He said: "and Qusai?" "Just like you inshallah."
And indeed, two days later, he left and took his brother with him. It's like he was preparing me for saying goodbye to both of them. Heaven is more beautiful than any place on this Earth, habibi. We will meet and be reunited one day, me, your dad and you two].
Our kids don't deserve to die already thinking about what will happen to them, they don't deserve to die already terrified, anticipating their death because the world failed them and decided their lives mean nothing. We are not numbers. Remember their names and their stories.
jane austen really just repeatedly said “the sexiest thing a man can be is kind, selfless, attentive and honest about his feelings” and, as always, she was correct every single time
A frightened Palestinian father can hear his daughter's cries beneath the rubble but can't find her, his son, or even his wife.
With a visage marked by grief, and powerlessness, he raises his voice in helplessness, saying,
"My daughter Rahaf is only six years old; what has she done to deserve this?!"
