We have split 4 new alters in a span of 6 hours as a result of learning about our RAMCOA programming

The flashbacks are unending. The mental and physical pain makes me want to scream. We can't sleep, can barely eat, and have to force ourselves to take our meds. It's like going through hell all over again

The dissociation is so much, we can barely tell who's who. Our main host has gone dormant, our secondary host refuses to leave the innerworld, everyone is terrified and triggered and everything is chaos

no, our race never changes because we have alters that appear a certain way in the innerworld. you are the body's race, no matter what. and this ESPECIALLY applies to white systems, yes you can have alters that look a certain way, but your race does not change because of that

we can only imagine how frustrating it is for poc systems to say this over and over

we used to say we had "poc" alters, but we have since changed it to "alters that see/perceive themselves as poc innerworld" after a person told us it was wrong. it's not that hard to change and inform yourself

alters will never understand racism or oppression the way many poc people do, therefore it is inherently wrong to say your race changes with alters

guess who found out they're a RAMCOA system/survivor after being in intense therapy for over a year

even our therapist was appalled at the things we spoke about remembering (we've been having major flashbacks thanks to an alter that was around when everything happened)

it's still a bit hard to believe, and it's still difficult to identify all the triggers for our programming, but we're determined to make our future better than our past

I've had IRL's attack me before, saying I'm a "double" and that they don't appreciate me interacting with their things, which, fine, I don't have to interact, but you don't have to call me a "double". I'm me. I am a real person with real feelings, and you are not more "real" than me. Don't treat me like I'm lower than you because I'm an alter, I'm still me

remembering things in the 3rd person is totally normal for DID systems! if you've noticed that all your memories are in the 3rd person, don't be scared, that's normal for DID! we know it's frightening to realize all your memories don't feel like your own, but it's okay, you'll all be alright!

Any other systems deal with splitting an alter and then them suddenly going dormant? We just split an alter (Bellatrix), she fronted for a day, and now she's just gone and no one can talk to her or find her in the innerworld. Does anyone have any advice for us? We've never dealt with this before
