SEVEN SENTENCE SUNDAY

Thanks for the tag @indestructibleheart. Thanks to ALL of you who have been tagging me in various writing related posts. My writer has been broken for months now and I've been struggling to fix the f*cker. I do have some sentences this week, though, and I'm excited about it. “You ready to meet the boss?” Henry nudges me with his elbow and my eyes widen as I snap my head to him to see if he’s joking.

He grins at my startled reaction and uses his chin to gesture toward the far end of the gym.

He’s not joking. Shit. 

I twitch my shoulders back and curl my fingers, coming to attention out of habit and wishing like hell I wasn’t meeting the special agent in charge of the President’s security detail while wearing a Celtics t-shirt and a pair of worn thin basketball shorts I should've tossed a year ago.

Henry chuckles and nudges me again. “At ease, Marine.”

Salutations, farm witch friends!

The coven would like to wish you all a very happy first day of March. We hope this month is as gentle to you as one of our little lambs.

Florist Tattoo AU sounds interesting, could you tell us anything about that please?

ahhh - This stars Adam (florist) and Rahim (tattoo artist) from Sex Education and features Adam as a shy man who loves flowers and lives a small life with his dog, and Rahim as a free spirit who blows into town, takes a job at the tattoo parlor next door, and shakes up everything. I really should get back to writing this one of these days. I get excited when I talk about it.

I am like 65% of the way through Like Real People Do so I would very much like to hear about the Kuzy fic (assuming the same Kuzy? Perhaps there are more Kuzys?)

It's definitely the Kuzy you think it is (hope you are enjoying the book!). I'm struggling with this one a little bit because at the moment it's got about 20% of a plot and I haven't yet figured out what the arc is or where it will land. It's all vibes so far, in other words. And after what I think is a really funny opening, it's trying to be weirder and more melancholy than I want it to be.

I love that big ol' Russian soft bro so much.

Over the next few weeks, I want to introduce you to Damon and Andrew and Rosewood, but first, let's set the stage:

When Andrew unexpectedly inherits a commercial building from his estranged grandmother, he’s certain his problems have been solved. Once he sells the building, he’ll have the money to help his sister and start a new business. Or so he thinks, except one of his new tenants is determined to do everything he can to stand in Andrew’s way.

As Rosewood’s resident witch and self-appointed guardian, Damon spends his days baking cupcakes and casting charms to protect his friends and neighbours. Devastated by the death of his longtime mentor, his world is upended even further when his sexy new landlord’s plans threaten everything he holds dear.

Andrew wants to get out of Rosewood as quickly as he can. Meanwhile, Damon can’t understand why Andrew is determined to destroy his home. If they want to be together, they’ll have to let go of the past and share their secrets. Because magic happens when you least expect it.

“Simply the second best” 💀💀💀

Simply The Second Best: Vote for Noah's (Other) Roles

Okay pals, it's January, the days are short and the weather forecast says it's supposed to go down to -30C this week (YMMV), so how about a bracket vote down to make the days better?

I can't believe we haven't done this already, but this bracket will determine our collective second-favourite of Noah's acting roles. I'm pre-emptively selecting Patrick as the overall winner and excluding him from voting, so this is a vote-off for second place.

Because I'm feeling mean, I've split the roles into four groups instead of selecting the match-ups randomly. We have:

Movies - lead roles

Movies - supporting roles

TV - lead roles

TV - guest or supporting roles

There will be 16 votes in the first round (4 from each category) and the first bracket will be live tomorrow morning.
