I saw this Hello Kitty x CAMBRIDGE SATCHEL collaboration on Instagram/Facebook a couple of months back.
...And I thought it looked cute!
I am a fan of Hello Kitty things that are for the everyday use. Practical things. Not toys for kids. Not things for display or safekeeping in some antique chest or plastic storage box. And while the price of these bags are definitely not for your day to day outings, well... at least they're cute?
That being said, these bags will probably remain in my wishlist for a long, long while.

Hello Kitty Café
For y'all Filipinos out there, especially those who were in the Metro Manila area circa 2016— do you guys remember the Hello Kitty Café pop-up booth at SM North EDSA The Block?
Unfortunately, I think it closed down sometime in 2017 or something? I'm not really sure when exactly... But, anyway. This is the post commemorating that restaurant!
I remember I loved going there for the gram lol
The whole menu, even the plates and utensils, were all Sanrio-themed!
Fun fact! That is the actually the place where I tried the drink Mango Graham for the first time!
Also, I've initially posted the photos above on my Instagram account but have since archived them. :P

UNIQLO Sanrio Characters Short Sleeve Graphic T-Shirt
UNIQLO releases different character shirts all the time, but most designs are retired and eventually become part of the UT Archive.
Sometimes, a select few of the designs are made and sold again due to popular requests/survey/commemorative events, etc.— but only for a limited time.
On that note, the three shirts above were part of the Sanrio collection sometime around 2014 - 2017 (if I guessed right? Not really sure tho)
Haven't bought any of their character shirts again in the recent years but... we'll see ;)

Hello Kitty mug
I am very sad because I broke my Hello Kitty mug!
And it was such a cute design too! Look at Hello Kitty playing music on the piano while Dear Daniel rides the carousel! Uuuuugh, would have been cute to drink from this mug on Valentine's Day but... oh well.
Seriously though, I bought this mug at Japan Home Centre because the design shows Hello Kitty on the piano! Isn't that the cutest thing!
Unfortunately, that is that. :(

Hello Kitty Backpack
This one is actually an old favorite of mine from my college and med school days.
Granted, "over-using" it for maybe about 7 years in a tropical country with sizzling summers, harsh monsoon weather, and high humidity all year round, did take its toll on the poor thing.
This picture was taken in 2014 back when the backpack was, though not new, was still in prime condition.
Unfortunately by 2017 or 2018, the stitches inside and the faux leather ribbon were already falling apart so I had to retire this old favorite of mine; it now sits, still white and fluffy, folded somewhere inside my closet. :)

A-SHA Mandarin Style Noodles
My dad saw this at Costco back in 2022 and bought them for me to try because he thought I would like it because the packaging was Sanrio and Friends.
At first, I was hesitant to try it because Sanrio-theme packaged food and snacks tend to favor children's palate more often than not but sure, okay. I'll try it because I love eating instant noodles, so why not?
And am I glad I did!
More than a year later, I still enjoy eating A-SHA Mandarin Style Noodles!
Of course, the Hello Kitty packaging has come and gone so these noodles are now back to their plain brand packaging but the taste is the same so I continue to buy these on a regular basis whenever I see them at Costco lol
Still, I originally posted about this Hello Kitty-themed noodles on Twitter for commemorative purposes so here I am going on ahead an doing the same here on tumblr too! :)
But seriously, go check these noodles out!
PS. My cousin gave me Momofuku x A-SHA noodles for Christmas, and they use the same sauce! The only difference is that it contains dried veggies on a separate packet! :)
