Grapefruit Kava Cocktail with Ginger Ice Cubes
Ingredients
1 dropper (about 40 drops) kava root extract
2 oz. grapefruit juice
1 ginger ice cube (optional - see recipe follows)
4-6 oz. Pellegrino
1/2 tsp. fresh lime juice
For the Ginger Ice Cubes
1 cup sliced fresh ginger, loosely packed
6 cups water
Instructions
For the Kava Cocktail
Add kava root extract, grapefruit juice, lime juice to a glass or mason jar.
Stir well by swirling or using a chop stick.
Add one ginger ice cube, top with Pellegrino to taste and enjoy!
Garnish with a wedge of lime.
For the Ginger Concentrate Ice Cubes
Boil ginger root and water in a medium-sized sauce pan for 1 hour. Cool, strain, and discard ginger.
Pour the remaining liquid into ice cube trays and freeze.
Store ginger ice cubes in a freezer bag and use for teas, smoothies or this kava cocktail!

INGREDIENTS
1 oz Demerara Sugar Cube
2 sprig Fresh Mint
2 dash Bitter Cube Vanilla Cherry Bitters
4 Lime Wedge
1.5 oz Brugal
4 oz Soda Water
DIRECTIONS
Drop a few leaves of mint in a Rocks Glass. Add the sugar and cherry. Muddle. Add a few ice cubes. Add rum, stir. Add bitters and fill with soda. Garnish with Mint Sprig and Lime Wedge.

“Champagne” aka Sparkling Margarita
INGREDIENTS
1/2 c. fresh lime juice
1 c. silver tequila
1/2 c. orange liquer
1 bottle Prosecco (about 3 cups)
lime wedges, for rim
salt, for rim
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
Run lime wedges around the rim of each champagne flute and dip the rims in coarse salt.
Divide margaritas between flutes and garnish with lime wedges.

Episode 08 - The Eastsider

Drink pairing : Eastside Cocktail
2 oz. gin
1 oz. fresh lime juice
3/4 oz. simple syrup (1:1)
8 mint leaves
2 slices cucumber
Tools: shaker, muddler, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: thin slice of cucumber
Lightly muddle the cucumber and mint leaves in a shaker. Add the liquid ingredients and shake well with ice. Strain into a chilled glass. Float the garnish on top of drink.
