i feel like the paparazzi should have had a bigger role in hoo. i mean since piper was the daughter of one of the most biggest actors in hollywood and percy is one of the america's most wanted, both of them on a suspicious cruise ship with some other mysterious people causing random chaos everywhere should have caused a little bit of hysteria among the media.

for one, i feel like it would add a lot of humour and chaos. imagine every dinner or lunch scene on the argo II starting with a funny update of what the newspaper has to say about their new globetrotting adventure. imagine the paparazzi reminding percy more about his life ("mr. jackson, are you going to explode another monument?!" "bestie what r you talking about?"). imagine every fight scene being interrupted by people asking questions.

but imagine the angst potential too. imagine the paparazzi affecting piper's arc of figuring herself out. and the additional pressure she feels to maintain this relationship with jason. imagine percy and annabeth falling into tartarus because the flashing lights prevented the rest of the seven from getting to them on time. imagine them worrying that sally and grover would see everything on tv.

i never imagined it would come to this

we used to be so happy, jungwon and i, what happened? the lovesick glimmer in our eyes when we first started dating has been driven out, and instead, replaced with a dull spark, barely holding on.

“where did it go wrong?” i ask jungwon, distressed by the situation. a sad expression crosses his face. instead of a response, i’m met with deafening silence. despite his silence, i know he shares the same melancholic sentiment.

pacing around the room, i try to speak, but my rapid breathing doesn’t allow me to. i opt to sit on the couch, head in my hands. i feel my eyes sting as tears start to flow down my face.

i suppress the sob i feel coming up as best i can. suddenly, i feel a dip in the couch and arms encasing me from the side. “shhh, it’s okay, breathe baby.” jungwon says concerned. the use of the nickname only made me cry harder, making it even more difficult to breathe. i can feel my heart squeezing, why did it have to be like this? why can’t we go back to the way it was? thoughts swarm my mind as i tried to keep up with my breathing.

jungwon noticed the quickening of my breath and pulled me into his lap, caressing my head and running his fingers through my hair. of course, he knows me like the back of his hand. “it’s alright, we’ll be okay, i promise.” he says softly. i know he’s only saying that to calm me down, but even so, it works. i feel my breath slow, inhaling and exhaling at a gradual pace. as i regulate my breathing, i manage to croak out a longing question, “can we stay like this for tonight?” jungwon smiles sadly before replying, “of course.”

and so, we stayed like that for the rest of the night, two heavy hearts relishing in the silence and solace. i hoped that somehow, someway, we could fix us. as i drifted off and succumbed to sleep, i imagined how different it could’ve been, and wished that this was only a silly dream, that maybe, jungwon and i would be once more.

and if we don't get a girly lil montage of annabeth's makeover on circe's island with cutesy music in the background in s2, then what's the point??

like imagine. it's percy in a really tight situation rn. he's tempted by his humane insecurities, risking trusting a suspicious primordial goddess. but he's choked, because he wants to be perfect. he wants to be enough. we see a torn expression on walker's face. indecision and doom is hanging in the atmosphere.

then we cut to some pop music blaring in the background. leah's lips are touched up with lipstick a close up shot. her cheeks are brushed with powdered pink. we see her spinning around in some dresses while giggling with the servants (+reyna cameo). she's shooting star eyes at the mirror with someone gives her a grand reveal of her new gorgeous hairstyle.

oh, where were we again? oh yeah. we cut back to percys life or death situation or whatever.
