This is a space for sharing and embracing creative acts. It includes various failures, beautiful...
NOTE: I just wanted to let everyone who is paying attention know that I am now shifting my focus to a new blog. While I have spent a good deal of time cultivating this blog and I am glad that there are ~600 followers on this blog, at this time, I am currently attempting to shift all of the work that went into this blog into a more personal/ regional photography and video blog.
I am keeping this blog up in order for people to take notice of this. I think that largely this blog has been a huge experience for me in regards to understanding how the tumblr website works, as well as forming a huge cannon of visual artists which i admire and have visual studies to look to. Furthermore, it has been an experience heavily involved in research as to how different artists practice their work. While my new blog will be similar, it will maintain a much more edited style and focus on my work as well as regional artists and galleries. Maintaining local and personal practice has become something that is hugely important to me as an individual
So I beg you all to start following the new blog, which has a link at the top for more of my personal work as well as a way to continue sharing great stuff with each other.
thanks
KN

"…there remains a sizeable part of the art world that simply does not get photography. They get artists who use photography to illustrate their ideas, installations, performances and concepts, who ’deploy’ the medium as one of a range of artistic strategies to complete their work. But photography for and of itself -photographs taken from the world as it is– are misunderstood as a collection of random observations and lucky moments, or muddled up with photojournalism, or tarred with a semi-derogatory ‘documentary’ tag."

ON SHELTER
You can write on a wall with a fish heart, it’s
because of the phosphorus. They eat it. There
are shacks like that down along the river. I am
writing this to be as wrong as possible to you.
Replace the door when you leave, it says. Now
you tell me how wrong that is, how long it
glows. Tell me.
—Anne Carson, Short Talks
