would ever do the colby brock x medium reader again??
I honestly don’t think so. I haven’t written it in so long, that I don’t think I would have the motivation to start up another story.

Chapter 2: The Kingdom of Aurea
Tumblr media
As she stood on the ship, taking her family and their daemons to Aurea, Elodie stood on the bow of the ship, staring off into the cold sea. Xena, haven taken the form of a Sugar Glider, Xena's second favorite form, was sitting on Elodie's shoulder, nuzzled into her side.
"What do you think will happen, Xena?" Elodie asked, turning her head to look at her daemon. Xena looked up at her mistress.
"I don't know, Elodie. But whatever happens, know that I will be right by your side." She said. Elodie smiled and gently stroked Xena's head with her finger, Xena closing her eyes in content. Floria walked over, Valerie, haven taken the form of a Bearded Dragon, Valerie's second favorite form, clung to the front of her mistress's dress. Floria looked at her sister.
"Elodie, what's the matter?" She asked. Elodie sighed, not looking at her sister.
"Nothing." She tried to reassure. Floria wasn't tricked. Valerie spoke up.
"Kahlan says that it's natural to be nervous about meeting your new husband and his daemon." Valerie said. Floria nodded.
"Val's right. It's perfectly natural." She said. Elodie sighed and looked at her sister and her daemon.
"They're strangers. Xena and I have never even heard of the kingdom of Aurea until Father and Kahlan sprung this on us. Who knows. The Prince's daemon might jump at the chance to hurt Xena." She said. She lifted her hands up and gently took Xena off her shoulder, holding her daemon close to her chest. Xena nuzzled into her mistress's hold. Lady Bayford walked out of the cabin, wrapped in a red blanket, looking for her step daughter's and their daemons. Her face fell in astonishment and she and Arya walked closer to the bow of the ship.
"Oh! Are you crazy? What are you two doing up there?" Lady Bayford asked in astonishment. "Come down here." She said. Arya sighed and looked up at her mistress.
"Lady, it is quite alright." Arya said. Lady Bayford looked down at her daemon.
"It is not alright, Arya," she said. "This is how Elodie wants her prince to meet her?" Lady Bayford asked, wrapping the blanket around Elodie's shoulders. Elodie wrapped the blanket around Floria's shoulders as well. "Scared, cold as a corpse. Nose all drippy and wet," she chided. "And, your daemons in forms that don't fit that of royalty." She said. Elodie looked at her Step Mother.
"Xena and Valerie are allowed to be in any form that makes them feel comfortable." Elodie defended. Lady Bayford sighed.
"I want Arya to be comfortable as well, but, sometimes, I must put respect over comfort," she said. She looked down at Arya. Arya gave a sigh of dissatisfaction. Golden dust swirled around Arya's form. In the place of a snow leopard, stood a golden Lioness. Lady Bayford nodded in approval. She looked back at her step daughters. "What have I been telling you this entire trip?" She asked. The sisters sighed.
"First impressions are everything." The two said together. Lady Bayford nodded. She then looked at the girls' daemons. Floria looked down at Valerie.
"Val," she said. Valerie looked up at her mistress and nodded. Floria gently took Valerie and set her on the cold deck of the ship. Just as Arya had done moments before, Valerie transformed into a young lioness in a swirl of golden dust. Sighing in slightly frustration, Elodie looked down at Xena. Xena nodded.
"It's okay." Xena said. Elodie gently pick up Xena and set her down. Xena shifted into a lioness. Suddenly, there was the sound of a horn blowing. Looking at each other, then looking up, they saw the man in the crow's nest blowing the horn. The crew and the sisters looked in confusion and slight fear as the ship sailed into a thick fog. Lord Bayford walked out of the cabin with Kahlan at his side, now taking the form of a proud lion.
"Kahlan and I have good news, girls." Lord Bayford said. Lady Bayford, Floria, Elodie and their daemons turned to face the Lord and his daemon. Lord Bayford looked down at Kahlan, smiling. Kahlan nodded, turning to look at the young girls and their daemons.
"The captain informs Lord Bayford and I, we approach Aurea's coastline." He said. Lord Bayford nodded.
"It should be any time now." Lord Bayford said. As Lord Bayford and Lady Bayford were smiling and thrilled, Elodie could not say the same for her. Xena looked up and narrowed her eyes. Through the mist, there appeared to be the figure of what seemed to be a dragon. Xena breathed in aw and fear.
"Elodie." Xena said. Elodie looked down at her daemon, then up at what she was staring at. Elodie narrowed her eyes.
"Father." She said. Lord and Lady Bayford frowned, looking at the statue as well.
"What in the world?" Lady Bayford asked, astonished.
"It looks almost, almost like a,"
"A dragon." Floria finished for her father. Indeed, there stood the stone statue of a dragon. Its teeth, sharp and ready to tear into flesh. Its claws sharp and ready to grab. In its open mouth, a torch was lit, symbolizing its burning fire. On the dragon's back, sat its daemon. the only color on the daemon, was its golden, reptile like eyes. The dragon like scales on its body were dull and gray. Its hair, normally the color of the dragon's scales, was long, but devoid of color. The daemon's eyes seemed to glare right into Elodie's soul. The sound of a deep, haunting horn blowing through the fog made the statues even more ominous. Lord Bayford placed a hand on Lady Bayford and Elodie's shoulders.
"It's okay." He assured. Lady Bayford chuckled in delight. Elodie looked down at Xena. Xena looked up at her mistress and gave a sigh. Just like her mistress, she felt slight unease. Floria and Valerie stared in awe as they sailed passed the lands teeming with crops. Lush trees, dark and light green leaves dotted their healthy branches. Nestled in the grass, they could spot blues, reds, yellows and purples of wild flowers growing, adding more and more beauty to the kingdom of Aurea. Elodie took a deep breath. There was no turning back now.
As the golden carriage carried the Lord, Lady, their daughters and daemons, the Chamberlain walked down the steps to greet them. At his side, stood a Great Pyrenees. The daemon's goat was brushed and clean, not a tangle to be seen. The Chamberlain and his daemon bowed.
"My Lords, my Ladies," the Chamberlain greeted. "Be welcome to the Kingdom of Aurea." The Chamberlain said.
"The royal family and their daemons are at prayer," the Chamberlain's daemon informed. "But word has been sent of your arrival. In the meantime, your rooms have been made ready." The Chamberlain's daemon informed.
"If you will follow us, Hector and I will show you to your rooms." The Chamberlain said.
Xena had to admit. The castle they were walking through did have a certain beauty about it. However, there was something that didn't sit right with the daemon. The fact that each daemon, save for the servants daemons, had to be in the same exact form as the rest of the royalty, even though they weren't even related. Xena much preferred to be in her snow leopardess form. That was the form she took when Elodie was first born, and that was the form she felt most comfortable in. She felt like she was someone else's daemon, having to pretend.
"Is this a dream?" Floria asked. "If so, can I move in and never wake up?" Floria asked, very impressed with the castle. Lady Bayford looked at Floria with a frown. She shushed the youngest Bayford.
"If you want these people to think we belong here, you can't act so easily impressed." Lady Bayford scolded. Floria sighed and continued to look around quietly. Lord Bayford looked at Elodie.
"What do you and Xena think, Ellie? Hmm?" Lord Bayford asked. Elodie gave a small smile.
"I think we had a rather limited definition of wealthy." Elodie said. She looked down at Xena. The daemon looked up at her mistress and smiled.
"I agree." She said. Lord Bayford and Kahlan chuckled at the girl and her daemon. Birds and their tiny human daemons flew past, the birds tweeting as they spoke words unheard by the human ear, only sounding of beautiful songs. The Chamberlain and his daemon walked up to two beautiful golden doors. Intricate flowers spread on vines towards each corner of the door. The Chamberlain opened the door, he and his daemon walking through first, standing off to the side to allow the others in.
"I pray this is to yours and your daemon's liking, my lady," the Chamberlain said. Elodie and Xena stared in aw at the beautiful room in front of them. "A bath has been drawn and supper has been carried hence." The Chamberlain explained.
"At first light, my master and I shall return to convey you, to meet His Royal Highness. Henry, Prince of Aurea, and his daemon, Kion." Hector explained. Elodie chuckled softly. Xena looked up at her mistress and gently nudged her hand with her head. Elodie smiled down at her daemon, thankful for Xena's presence. Lord Bayford, noticing Elodie's unease, walked up to his daughter.
"Is something wrong?" He asked. Elodie looked at her father.
"Xena and I hope he and his daemon are kind." Elodie said. Lord Bayford nodded.
"And well read." Xena pointed out. Floria looked at her older sister.
"Handsome?" Floria asked. Elodie smiled and gently pinched her sister's cheek, making the two laugh. Lord Bayford looked at his daughter and wife.
"Let's all give Elodie and Xena some privacy." Lord Bayford said. use the time to settle in, as we all could." He said. Kahlan nodded.
"Yes. They could use the time to settle in, as we all could." Kahlan said. Lady Bayford smiled.
"Oh, indeed. Come, Arya." Lady Bayford said, looking down at her daemon. Arya let out a low growl as she followed. Floria looked down at Valerie.
"Let's go, Val." Floria said. Valerie let her body brush along side Xena's and a small show of love. The two let out small purrs. The Chamberlain closed the door behind the group, leaving the girl and her daemon alone. As they looked around, Xena took this time to shift into her Sugar Glider form, knowing that no one from the royal family was around. She scampered from the golden table, up Elodie's arm, and rested on her shoulder, sighing in relief. Elodie smiled at her daemon.
"Feel better?" She asked. Xena smiled.
"Much." She said. Elodie walked over to one of the tables that held pomegranates and grapes. She picked up one of the dark purple grapes, popping it into her mouth and chewing. She gave her reflection a small smile. Picking up another grape, she handed Xena a grape.
"Here." She said, handing the grape to her daemon. Xena took the grape thankfully and started munching on it. Walking over to the balcony, Elodie and Xena walked out and breathed in the air. Over in another tower, another, beautiful young girl walked out onto her balcony. Beside her, sitting on the railing, sat her daemon, taking the form of a beautiful Main Coon cat. The two girls locked eyes and smiled kindly towards one another, blissfully unaware of what was to come.

Chapter 1: The Proposal
Tumblr media
Centuries had passed since the king and his men had tried to slay the beast and its daemon. Our story now, takes place in a small kingdom, far to the north. By summer, it is blessed with beautiful trees and blossoming wild flowers. By winter, the kingdom is ravaged by harsh winters and the people are pushed to the extremes of starvation. The winters have gotten much worse.
The grunt of a young maiden was heard as the wood of a cut down tree was split in half. Elodie Bayford, oldest daughter to Lord and Lady Bayford, breathed heavily with exhaustion as she cut the last of the firewood. Her daemon, Xena, taking the form of a snow leopard, lay next to her mistress's feet, a bit away from the axe and the wood pile. Elodie glanced at Xena.
"Xena, you could be helping me, you know." Elodie said. Her red, intricately braided hair blowing in the cold wind. Xena looked up at her mistress.
"Oh? I thought I was helping you. You know, providing you with company so you don't get bored." Xena said, humor behind her words. A smile graced Elodie's lips.
"Oh ha ha." Elodie said. Xena chuckled. Her head turned towards the sound of a tree branch scraping across the ground. Elodie's younger sister, Floria Bayford and her daemon, Valerie, also in the form of a snow leopard, walked up, Floria dragging a dead tree branch behind her.
"The last Val and I could find." Floria said to her older sister. Xena stood, stretching out her front and back legs. She shook out her fur. Her fur seemed to have light blue undertones to the black spots and gray fur. Xena looked at Valerie.
"Did you and Floria take the tapestries into town like Lord Bayford and Kahlan asked?" Xena asked. Xena's voice was young, but still deep, filled with much wisdom and experience. Valerie nodded.
"This morning." Valarie said. Valerie's voice was young, filled with less experience, unlike her sister's. Though they were two separate beings, belonging to two separate people, Xena and Valerie still though of each other as sisters. Xena looked up at Elodie.
"We should take the furs too, Elodie." Xena said. Elodie nodded, looking down at her daemon.
"Right. And the drapes." Elodie said, leaning down to pick up the firewood. Floria frowned.
"Not the drapes!" She protested. Valerie looked up at her young mistress.
"Floria, we hate that pattern in our room anyway. We keep begging Lord Bayford and Kahlan to sell them." Valerie reasoned. Floria sighed and looked down at her daemon.
"They serve a purpose." Floria said. Elodie sighed.
"Floria," she said, making her sister look at her. "Our people are freezing. And starving." Elodie said. Floria sighed. She looked down at her daemon and stroked Valerie's head. Valerie closed her eyes and let out a purr of comfort. Xena's ears twitched, hearing something in the distance. She looked up and saw a golden carriage, being pulled by a team of horses, heading towards the castle where the sisters lived.
"Elodie." Xena said, not looking at her mistress. Floria, Elodie, and Valerie all looked in the direction Xena was looking. Floria shielded her eyes from the sun with her hand. The two sisters looked towards the carriage in confusion.
"Who'd come this far north?' Elodie asked. Xena looked back at her mistress.
"We should take the supplies back into town and check in on your father." Xena said. Elodie nodded.
"Right. Let's go." She said.
The sisters, holding hands, and their daemons, walking on either side of them, walked up a muddy, snowy road, towards a small village. A group of people and their daemons, in various forms of snow leopards and wolves, walked away from the village.
"Elodie, why are they leaving?" Floria asked.
"There's nothing left form them or their daemons here, Floria." Elodie said. Xena stopped and looked at the group, sighing in sadness. It pained her that her mistress's people had to leave this good kingdom. The kingdom in which Elodie, Floria and their daemons lived in was very poor, barley having enough money for the Bayford family, the Lords and Ladies of the kingdom, to feed themselves. That meant that their people were starving, and fighting everyday just to survive. Elodie looked behind her.
"Xena." She called. Xena looked towards her mistress, then trotted, catching up to them. As they walked through the court yard, most of the people were lined up, hoping to get even some stale bread to eat. Off to the side, an older man and a younger man were arguing over some of the food the older man had gotten. Their daemons, timber wolves, were growling and snarling at each other. Elodie, Floria and their daemons walked up to one of the guards and his daemon.
"Could you see who it was?" Elodie asked the guard.
"A stranger, my lady." The guard said. People started to line up for firewood. Elodie turned her back to the guard, allowing him to take the pack of wood off her back.
"They may take whatever wood they can carry." Elodie said. The guard nodded.
"I'll see to it." He said. Elodie turned to Floria.
"Come on, Flor. Xena, with me." Elodie said. Xena let out a soft growl as she followed after her mistress.
"Val, come." Floria called. Valerie followed after they younger Bayford. As the two sisters and their daemons walked into the hall of the castle, they were met with the two familiar forms of their father, Lord Bayford, and their Step Mother, Lady Bayford. By the Lord and Lady's side, stood their daemons; Kahlan and Arya. There was, however, a new figure that the sisters and their daemons had never seen before. She was, what seemed to be, a Priestess. She was clothed in blood red garments, also wearing a head piece covered in red cloth. By her side, stood a golden lioness.
"I want to meet them first." The Priestess said.
"Father?" Elodie asked as they entered the hall. The three figures and their daemons turned to see the young girls. The Priestess and her daemon turned to look at the girl and her daemon.
"You must be Elodie." The Priestess said. Her eyes landed on Xena. "And this must be your daemon, Xena." She said. Elodie nodded, walking down the steps cautiously.
"That's right." She said. The Priestess and her daemon walked up to the girl and her daemon. Xena's fur wavered. Something wasn't right. After a few moments of the Priestess staring at Elodie and Xena, she and her daemon turned to Lord and Lady Bayford.
"They will do." The Priestess's daemon said. Lord Bayford sighed softly, looking at Lady Bayford. The Priestess walked over to the Lord, handing him a letter.
"We await your decision." The Priestess said. Lord Bayford took the letter.
"Thank you, Your Holiness," Lord Bayford said. He turned to his Daemon. "Kahlan, show our guests out." Lord Bayford said. Kahlan nodded.
"Understood. Right this way, Your Holiness." Kahlan said, inclining his head in respect. The Priestess nodded and looked to her daemon.
"Come, Leona." The Priestess said. With a growl, Leona followed after her mistress. Xena side eyed the lioness, giving a small growl of warning. Elodie glanced down at Xena.
"Xena, hush." Elodie said quietly. Xena stopped growling and remained quiet. Not giving the snow leopardess a second glance, Leona followed after her mistress. Kahlan stopped at the entrance to the hall. He turned and walked back to his master. Quickly, Lord Bayford cut the seal of the letter with a knife. He opened the letter.
"Father, what's happening?" Elodie asked. Lord Bayford lifted up his hand, asking for a moment of silence. Not that his daughter listened. "Who is that?" Elodie asked further. Lord Bayford read the the letter by light of the fire. Xena looked to Lord Bayford's daemon.
"Kahlan, do you know anything?" Xena asked. Kahlan looked at the younger snow leopardess. Elodie turned to her Step Mother and her daemon for answers.
"Step Mother, Arya?" Elodie asked. Kahlan sighed and looked at the young girl and her daemon.
"Elodie, Xena, patience. Wait for My Lord's response." Kahlan said. Lord Bayford read the letter, muttering to himself.
"Just as Kahlan has said, Elodie, Xena. Await Lord Bayford's response." Arya said. Elodie sighed slightly, not getting the answer she wanted. Elodie turned back to Lord Bayford.
"From the Queen of Aurea," Lord Bayford said finally. Lord Bayford chuckled softly. He turned to face the others in the room, gesturing to the letter. "A proposal." Lord Bayford said. Lady Bayford gasped. Both Arya and Kahlan looked astonished. Xena looked up at her mistress, worry in her eyes. Lord Bayford looked at his wife. "I have made a match." Lord Bayford said.
"May I?" Lady Bayford asked, gesturing to the letter. Lord Bayford nodded.
"Uh-huh." He said. Lady Bayford took the letter, holding a candle close as to read it. Lord Bayford turned to Elodie and Floria.
"He is a Prince." He said. Floria looked at her father in astonishment.
"A prince?" She asked. Lord Bayford nodded. He looked to Elodie again.
"I know you and Xena have always wished to travel, as did your mother and Emery." Lord Bayford said. "Go. See the world." He encouraged. Elodie did not seem as enthused as her father, nor did Xena. "This man, he has a fleet of ships. Carriages of gold." Lord Bayford said. Lord Bayford seemed much more excited about this than his daughter. Elodie held her head high.
"That's no reason to marry." Elodie said. Lord Bayford sighed.
"We need this. Our stores are empty. We will not make it to the thaw." Lord Bayford said. He gestured to his daughter's daemon. "Think of Xena. She needs food. You know wild daemons feed on the dust of other daemons. Our daemons, they feed on food, just as any animal does. You don't want her to starve, do you?" Lord Bayford asked. Xena growled slightly.
"That's not fair." She growled. She didn't want Lord Bayford to use her to guilt Elodie into marrying. All because of gold. Kahlan stepped forward and growled at Xena.
"Enough, Xena." He growled. Both human and daemon were fiercely protective of one another. Kill the human, you kill the daemon. You kill the daemon, you kill the human. The same went for all the animals that had human daemons as well. Both daughter and father looked at their daemons.
"Kahlan."
"Xena." They said together, silencing their daemons. Lord Bayford looked up at his daughter, sighed and tried again.
"Your people need you," he said. He gently lifted Elodie's chin. "This is who we are." He said, and smiled encouragingly at his daughter.

Prologue
Tumblr media
There are many stories of chivalry. Where the heroic knight and his daemon save the damsel in destress and her daemon. This is not one of them.
Running through the golden fields of an island, a king, his knights, and their daemons, taking the form of brave lions, raced towards a mountain in the distance. Flying above trees and rocks, the silhouette of a dragon could be seen. Looking up at hearing the flapping of wings, the king noticed the hulking form of the dragon, spotting the human riding on the dragon's back. This was no ordinary human. This was the dragon's daemon.
"Form up!" The king shouted. With the king in the front and his men moving to the sides, their daemons moving with them, they made an arrow. "Let's kill the beast and its daemon! For glory! Hyah!" The king shouted, snapping the reins of his horse. They quickly approached the mountain. The king, ready to kill the very thing that had threatened his people.
Leaving their horses outside, the king and his men slid down into the lair on ropes. Their daemons, shifting into birds, fluttered down with them, taking the shapes of lions once again. The crunching of gravel under boots and the soft growls of lions were all that was heard. The king's daemon, Leon, turned his head to the men.
"Be on guard." Leon said, growling and sticking close to his master's side. As they walked through the mountain, the air felt thick and heavy. It was almost difficult to breathe. They approached an area lit up with sunlight. The king held his hand up, telling his men to wait. As they stared at the sunny spot, there was soft crackling heard. Leon's eyes widened in shock.
The dragon, with its daemon on its back, crawled through the mountain, clinging to the pillars of stone. The sounds of swords clanging, the sound coming from a spot that held something dear to the two. Seeing what had happened, the dragon roared in anger and sadness. Through the roaring, they heard someone shouting in a language different that what they understood.
"*Nei! Hva har du gjort?!" It sounded like a woman's voice. Leon looked at the king.
"My Lord! We should leave now! While we still can!" While some might see Leon as a coward, Leon didn't particularly feel like being turned into dust for the dragon's daemon to consume. While carnivores ate the meat of other animals to survive, the carnivore's daemons fed on the dust that emanated from that animal's daemon after it died. The king looked at his daemon.
"Form the line!" The king shouted. While the king and Leon stood more towards the back, most of the knights and their daemons stood in front of the king and his daemon. Drawing swords and crossbows, aiming the crossbows at the air, they waited for the beast and its daemon. If they could get a clear shot of the beast's daemon, it would kill the dragon immediately. Both animal and daemon, and human and daemon were fiercely protective of one another. You kill the daemon, its master dies. You kill the master, the daemon dies. From within the confines of the confines of the mountain, they heard the dragon roar, and a sound, almost like a shriek. They then heard the voice again.
"*Brenne." It sounded low, almost angry and haunted. Then, flames of burning fire spewed out upon the knights. The knight's daemons started disappearing in clouds of golden dust. There was a sound, like harsh wind blowing. The dust particles started floating up towards the back of the dragon. The dragon's daemon was consuming the dust. The king and Leon stared in shock and horror at the death that was lain before them. Instead of running, the king stared at the carnegie, determined to kill the beast.
"Hold!" The king shouted. The remaining knights stood behind their kings. As they watched the sky, the dragon swooped down and picked up one of the knights. It's daemon stared in shock. It shifted into a falcon, trying to distract the beast to let its master go. With a growl, the daemon turned into dust, the dragon's daemon consuming the dust. One by one, the knights and their daemons were killed. The king looked around in defeat. Leon raced in front of the king. Though he was no match for a dragon and its daemon, Leon would defend his master till his dying breath. Realizing he had been defeated, the king stuck his sword into the ground. Ready to meet his fate. The king fell to his knees. Leon quickly raced over and stood by his master's side. As the dragon stalked closer, behind its head and wings, long billowing, fire orange hair could be seen, standing out against the shadows and the rock.

Two Bodies, One Soul: A Damsel Fanfiction
This is your pre warning. If you haven't watched Damsel yet, I highly suggest you do. It's well worth your time and has an amazing story line. This fanfiction has major spoilers for the movie. So, for the sake of those who would not like the movie spoiled for them, I highly suggest you watch the movie before reading this fanfiction.
~~~
Since the beginning of time, all humans and animals alike have been born with a counter part. For the humans, their counterparts are beings that take the shape of different animals. Each of these animals have a favorite form to take. Whether that be a fierce lion or lioness, or a sly fox. Or even a mouse. For the animals, their counterparts are beings that take the forms of humans with animalistic qualities. For a wild horse, their counterparts have long, horse like hair. For dragons, their counterparts have dragon like eyes and scales along their stomachs, arms, and back. These counterparts are more commonly known as daemons.
This story is about a young woman and her daemon. Their names are Elodie and Xena.
Chapter 2: Hell is Forever
Tumblr media
As Charlie left to take the phone call with her dad, Angel looked over at Vaggie, [Y/N] and Alastor.
"Hey, I have a question. If freaky face over there is so powerful, then why can't he just make people stay here?" Angel asked.
"Oh, trust me," Alastor smiled menacingly. "I can." Alastor said. Dark Magic swirled around his closed hand.
"Why do you think I'm here?" Husk asked. Everyone looked over at the winged cat demon behind the bar. "You actually think I'd be cleaning bottles and listening to you fucks bitch and moan all the time if he wasn't forcing me?" Husk asked. He wasn't mad at [Y/N]. Despite being upset with their father, Husk actually liked [Y/N]. He thought they were a good kid, despite knowing their secret. As Husk was cleaning a bottle, Niffty popped up from behind the counter.
"I like being forced." She said, and smiled.
"Keep that to yourself, Nif." Husk said, glaring at the smaller woman.
"What? You don't love being here with me, Whiskers?" Angel Dust teased. Husk glared at Angel.
"Call me Whiskers again and I'll jam that bottle down your throat!" Husk shouted, a cat like growl coming from him. Angel smiled.
"Kinky~ Come on, keep talking dirty." Angel said, smirking. Vaggie sighed.
"Angel. Let Husk do his job. And, no, we can't force sinners to stay here." Vaggie said. [Y/N] nodded and looked at the Spider Demon.
"Vaggie's right, Angel. They need to choose to stay here." They said. Angel shrugged.
"I'm choosing to be here and I think it's all stupid. We're in hell, toots. That's kind of the end of the road, ain't it?" Angel asked. Vaggie sighed again.
"Well, Maybe it doesn't have to be. Just because nobody has made it out before doesn't mean it's not possible." She said. [Y/N] nodded. Angel placed a hand on Vaggie's shoulder, giving her a deadpan expression.
"Hey, whatever means I can keep crashing here rent-free. Crack is expensive." Angel said. Charlie was still talking to her dad on the phone. She nodded excitedly.
"Yeah, I can totally, yeah. I'll head over there right away. Okay?" Charlie said, and hung up. She let out an excited gasp. "Yes…YES!" She giggled in excitement and leaned out in front of the wall. She called over to Vaggie. "Vaggie! Holy, shit!" In her excitement, it sounded like gibberish. Vaggie's eye widened in surprise.
"Ah! what?" She asked. Charlie waved over at her girlfriend.
"Get over here!" She mumbled excitedly. Vaggie sighed, a happy smile on her face. She walked over to Charlie.
"What's going on?" Vaggie asked. Charlie took a deep breath to calm her nerves.
"My dad just called, he said that the leader of the Angel Army wants to meet. He asked if I could go instead." Charlie said excitedly. Vaggie placed her hands on Charlie's shoulders, trying to calm her down.
"But-but, the extermination just happened. What could they want this soon after-" She didn't get the chance to finish her sentence as Charlie suddenly started singing.
"I can do this! Somehow, I know it!"
"I'll get Heaven behind my plans!"
Vaggie sighed.
"Charlie, hold on..."
"There's just no way I could blow it."
"Not this once-in-a-lifetime chance!"
"It's just a meeting." Vaggie said, trying to calm her girlfriend down.
"To change their minds
"And touch their hearts
"Or... whatever angels have!"
Vaggie sighed.
"This could be bad..." She said. Charlie walked over to Vaggie and grabbed her hands. Charlie smiled.
"Cheer up, Vaggie!"
"This could be swell!"
"Something tells me that today will be a happy day in Hell!"
Vaggie sighed.
"Okay, but just don't... sing to them." Vaggie said. Angel, Niffty, Alastor, Keekee and [Y/N] all watched as Charlie bounded out the hotel doors into the partially destroyed Pentagram City.
"That bitch is halfway down the street!" Angel said, smirking. Vaggie sighed.
"Is she—?"
Angel smirked and nodded.
"Oh, she's dancin'!" Angel said. Vaggie groaned.
"Ugh, no!"
Charlie made her way down the streets, oblivious to the destruction and dead bodies of demons everywhere as she continued to sing.
"There's a warm, fuzzy feeling.
That wafts through the air."
"Every street so revealing. It's hard not to stare!"
She came to a window of a sex dungeon where a Hellhound was humping against an imp, wearing a sadomasochism mask. The two looked at the girl and she awkwardly walked away from the scene, continuing her song.
"It's a realm so appealing it beats anywhеre.
If you don't mind the smell..."
Charlie accidentally stepped on a dead shark demon that was releasing a fume, making Charlie hold her nose in disgust. She avoided the corpse and continued on.
"It's a happy day in Hell!"
Charlie waved at a demon who was holding a newspaper, however, it was revealed that he had a spoon full of meth.
"Hi, mister!" Charlie said gleefully.
"Go fuck yourself!" The demon shouted. Charlie gave a tight lipped smile and continued on. Another demon opened his window, showing a fire behind him.
"There's an endless trash fire that's burning my soul." The demon sang.
Charlie continued to greet each demon she came across.
"And a ton of barbed wire to shove in his holes!"
"Doing what is required, we all have our role."
"I'm not doin' well!"
"Another shitty day in Hell!"
Charlie climbed up onto the trunk of a destroyed car and faced the other direction from the demons.
"If I can show them the dream I've dreamed.
That any soul can change!"
From the Hazbin Hotel, Vaggie climbed into the watchtower, as if calling out to her girlfriend.
("Those angels' minds are hard to change.")
"Then they will know everyone can be redeemed.
From the evil to the strange!"
("They're bloodthirsty and deranged!")
"I can hear all their stories.
The lost and displaced."
"And I know that they're more of an acquired taste.
But! if I open the door and I give them a place.
At my Hazbin Hotel. It'll be a happy day in Hell!"
A truck drove by, and Charlie hitched a ride from the back to get around the city. She passed porn studios and Cannibal Town.
"From the porn studio.
Where the cinephiles go.
To watch award-winning demon bukkake shows!"
"To the Cannibal Town. Where they don't wear a frown 'cause," Charlie got hit in the eye with the blood from one of the corpses the cannibals were feeding on. "Holy shit! Ew, my gosh! WHY?!" Charlie frowned in disgust. Her frown then turned to a smile.
"And I don't give a crow that. His brain's got in my eye!
Cause with the Shifters gone, I know I can spare them. From Heaven's genocide!"
"I can do this, I just know it!"
"I'll get Heaven behind my plans!
There's just no way I could blow it."
"Not this once-in-a-lifetime chance!
To change their minds."
Right then, a slug demon with a trench coat appeared in front of Charlie, exposing his nude body to her, which freaked her out.
"And touch my parts!"
Charlie smiled awkwardly and with disgust.
"Uh... No thank you. I'm just gonna...
Fulfill my destiny!"
The demon rolled his eyes and pulled his trench coat over his body again. "Your loss, bitch!"
"I can already tell!
Today is gonna bе a fuckin' happy day in Hell!"
[Y/N] sighed, a guilty look on their face. They walked into their room and walked over to their window, overlooking Pentagram City. They wrapped their arms around them, and sighed again. There was a sound of a whisper behind them. They already knew that their father was in the room with them.
"[Y/N]? What troubles you?" Alastor asked, walking over and placing his hand on his child's shoulder. [Y/N] sighed and leaned their head against Alastor's chest in comfort.
"I'm, debating whether or not I should tell the others what I am. About me being a Shifter." [Y/N] said. Alastor hummed.
"Well, it is ultimately your choice, my dear." Alastor said. [Y/N] nodded.
"I know that. But, what if they get mad at me for not telling them? I mean, Shifters were the only species of Hell Born that could actually kill an angel." They said. Alastor hummed.
"Well, put yourself in their shoes for a moment. Suppose that the child of the Radio Demon told you that they were a Shifter. How would you react?" Alastor asked. [Y/N] shrugged.
"I dunno. I guess I would be upset for a while, considering I thought that all the Shifters were dead. But, after they explained that they were the last Shifter and couldn't possibly defend all of Hell from the Exorcists, then I might be a little bit more understanding." [Y/N] said. Alastor nodded, and smiled gently down at his child.
"Well, there you go. They might get upset, sure. But, I'm sure coming out with the truth would be better for them, and for you." Alastor said. [Y/N] sighed and nodded.
"Maybe. Can, can I ask something of you, dad?" [Y/N] asked, looking up at their father. Alastor nodded.
"Anything, my dear." Alastor said.
"If and when I do tell them, would you be there with me? Just in case things turn south?" [Y/N] asked. Alastor smiled.
"I promise I will always be there for you, my dear." Alastor said, pressing a kiss to [Y/N]'s head. [Y/N] smiled and wrapped their arms around Alastor's waist in a hug, the Radio Demon returning it, resting his head on their own.
"Thanks dad."
Charlie walked up to the Heaven Embassy, where she was going to meet the leaders of the Extermination Army. She pushed open the door.
"Hello?" Charlie called out, her voice echoed in the empty hall. She walked through and found the Embassy to be completely deserted. "Hello? Creepy." Charlie commented. Her footsteps echoed through out the hall.
Charlie came to the front desk. No one was there. The only thing there was a bell to ring. She tapped the bell. In an instant, a golden scroll and a feather pen appeared before her. "Oh, okay. Also creepy." She said and signed her name. The scroll and feather disappeared. To her right, a set of twin doors slid open, showin Charlie an empty meeting room. She cautiously walked inside.
"Uh...hello? Is anyone here?" Charlie called. Suddenly, the lights switched on, revealing two Angels. One of them was dressed in black and gray armor. The other, dressed in a white robe with gold accents. What was interesting, was that both Angels had masks with what looked like demon horns on them. The angels were Lute, the lieutenant of the Extermination Army, and Adam, the leader.
"'Sup!" Adam greeted, surprising Charlie.
"Holy, shit!" Charlie shouted, surprised by their sudden appearance. She quickly got back up and smiled. "Hi, I'm Charlie. My dad asked me if I could meet you." Charlie said. Adam nodded, seeming uninterested with what she had to say.
"Yeah, I know." He said. He had a plate of ribs sitting before him, eating them casually. Charlie chuckled awkwardly.
"Okay, well, it's nice to meet you." Charlie said, reaching her hand out. Adam smiled at her and reached his had out as well.
"Totally. It's nice to meet you, too." He said. Charlie reached for his hand, but it suddenly slipped through, scaring Charlie. It was revealed that Adam was just a hologram. Adam burst out laughing. "Ha! I fucking got you. Did you see that?" He asked, turning to Lute, who just nodded. Adam laughed again and leaned back in his seat. "Ha. Good shit." Adam said. Charlie narrowed her eyes.
"Uh...so, wait. You aren't here?" Charlie asked. Adam scoffed.
"No, you think I'd come down there?" He laughed in a condescending way. "No, I mean, I love the vibe, totally, I love your tunes. Pretty fucking hardcore, don't get me wrong. But! it's such a bummer! man. Everything down there's just so "eugh", ya know?" He chuckled again. "Ew." He shook his head. Charlie smiled awkwardly.
"Right. So, I'm happy we've got this opportunity to meet. There's a project that I've been working on that I really want to talk to you about-"
Adam put his finger to Charlie's lips, silencing her for a moment.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, slow down. We've got time. How about we get to know each other a little, hmm? How about lunch? You hungry? I got you." Adam said. He took the plate of ribs he had been eating and handed it towards Charlie. "Here's my personal favorite. You'll love it." Adam said.
"Uh...thanks." Charlie said. She reached for it, completely forgetting that it was a hologram. Her hand went through it again, freaking Charlie out again. Adam let out a bark of laughter.
"I got you again, bitch! Fuckin' hilarious!" Adam said, laughing. Charlie chuckled, unamused. This was going to be a long meeting.
Back at the hotel, Vaggie was walking back and forth in the lobby. [Y/N] and the others were sitting in various chairs and couches. Angel Dust was constantly looking at Husk and winking, while Husk was glaring daggers at him. Vaggie sighed.
"Okay, so, Charlie is dealing with something very important, so while she's gone, we are making a new commercial. One that represents her vision and what we're doing here. So, we need a camera." Vaggie said. She looked over at Alastor. "Alastor?" She requested. Alastor snapped his fingers and conjured up a camera for Vaggie, however, the camera was a folding-type old camera from the 1930s with no recording films at that time. Vaggie glanced at him, unamused. "A video camera?" She requested.
"Hmmm." Alastor hummed in distaste and snapped his fingers again. A modern day video camera appeared in Vaggie's hands, replacing the older looking model. Vaggie smiled. "Alright! Let's do this!" She said excitedly. [Y/N] was watching behind Vaggie as she was recording Husk and Angel at the bar.
"And, action!" [Y/N] called. Husk was looking down at the script he had, reading right from it with the script in his face.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel. Can I help with anything?" Husk read, looking up at Angel, who was sitting at one of the stools. Angel smiled and winked at Husk.
"I've been a bad boy, and I need a big, strong daddy to put me in my place…on the path to redemption!" Angel said. Husk groaned in distaste. [Y/N] cringed lightly at the scene. Husk looked down at the script again.
"Well, you come..." He was interrupted by Angel moaning.
"Oh yes!" He cried out.
"To the right place." Husk finished, not looking amused. [Y/N] sighed and pinched the bridge of their nose.
"Cut! Okay, Angel, we need you to be less horny if possible, and Husk, can you maybe not have a script in front of your face." [Y/N] requested. Husk looked over at [Y/N] angrily.
"I ain't no actor! I can't memorize this shit!" He shouted, smacking the script. Angel leaned over the bar, smiling seductively.
"Well, we could improv this shit, baby cakes," he got closer to Husk and purred seductively. "Rrawwr."
Husk growled and shoved Angel off the counter, making the porn star fall onto the floor. Husk shrugged.
"Whoops." He said, and grabbed a bottle of alcohol and began drinking from it. Vaggie sighed.
"Husk, come on." She demanded.
~~~~~
Back with Charlie, she was being bored to death by what Adam was telling her about his weekend.
"So, I was playin' this gig, and for some fuckin' reason, this virtue chick was diggin' on the drummer, and it's like, "do you know who I am? I'm fuckin' Adam. I'm the original dick!" He complained, pointing to his nether regions. "All dicks descend from me. You think you want drummer dick?" He asked, looking to Lute, who shook her head. Adam nodded. "No way! I'm the Dick-fuckin' master!" He shouted. He then ate a rib, speaking with his mouth full. "So, anyway, then we fucked, and it was awesome. What'd you do this weekend?" He asked, looking at Charlie. Charlie sat up straight in surprise.
"Wait, your name is Adam? Like the first man Adam, that means you…Oh…." Charlie put two and two together, realizing just why her mother had left Adam in the first place. "That explains so much." She said, wincing. Adam smirked.
"I know. I fucking rock." He held up his hand in a rock pose. Charlie cleared her throat and got back to the matter at hand.
"Well, Adam, sir. Mr. Adam, sir." Charlie said awkwardly. Adam smirked.
"Call me, Dickmaster." Adam said. Charlie gave him a deadpan look.
"Adam. You seem like a smart, well, stand up guy!" Charlie said, trying to appeal to his ego. Adam picked at his teeth, clearly uninterested.
"Uh-huh." He said.
"And I know you are the leader of the angels. And you are a big thinker, a revolutionary. You and your Executioners killed an entire race of Shifters! You're, well, a, a genius!" She said. Though she hated talking about how he killed the only beings that could protect her people, she had to get him on her side. Adam scoffed.
"I mean, your words, babe." Adam said, smiling. Charlie smiled.
"Who would really love to put his name on something." Charlie said. Adam sat up, a big smile on his face.
"Fucking love putting my name on shit! Shit's the best!" He shouted. Charlie smiled.
"It's a solution to our biggest problem!" She said, thinking that she was finally getting somewhere with him. Adam's eyes widened.
"Oh, Herpes. Yeah, that's a bitch." He said. Charlie groaned lightly.
"No! Our... other biggest problem." She said. At this point, Adam was just messing with her.
"Oh…uh..ugly people? Math? Global Warming? Nah, wait, that's Earth's problem." Adam said, listing off all the "problems" that they shared in common. Charlie stared at him, unamused.
~~~~
//I'm going to go ahead and skip a few scenes cause I feel like this is getting really long.//
"When you take her out for the fifth time and she still expects you to pay the check but you're like, Hey, I thought you wanted equality." Adam complained. Charlie groaned, getting fed up with Adam and his ego.
"NO! our shared problem of overpopulation in Hell!" Charlie shouted. Adam's eyes widened in realization.
"Ohh, well that's not a problem! We got that covered!" Adam said. He turned to Lute. "Lute, how many demons did you kill this year?" He asked.
"Got a good 275 this year, sir." Lute said, talking as if it was some ground breaking record. Adam's eye brows rose.
"275? Woah! Badass! Awesome job, danger tits! Pound it." Adam raised his fist for Lute, who gave him a fist bump. Charlie frowned.
"Uh no, not awesome. Those are my people, you know that right?" Charlie asked. Adam looked at her and nodded.
"Oh yeah. That must suck for you!" Adam shouted, bursting into laughter. Charlie frowned. She didn't understand how Adam and Lute could care so little about the souls in Hell.
"But these are souls...Humans souls just the same as the ones you have up in heaven." She said. Lute frowned at Charlie.
"They're not the same. They had their chance and they earned damnation." Lute said coldly. Charlie shook her head.
"You're wrong. Sinners made mistakes, sure, but everyone makes mistakes." Charlie said. Lute narrowed her eyes at Charlie.
"Angels don't make mistakes." She said. Charlie rose her eyebrow in challenge.
"You really think that."
"I know that." Lute said. Adam smirked and nodded.
"Yeah, I've never made a mistake in my fuckin' life." Adam said. He chuckled. "If anything, you should be thanking us." He said. Charlie frowned.
"Thanking you?" She asked. Adam nodded.
"Uh, fuck yeah! We got rid of the very beings that were allowing the over population in Hell to begin with!" He said, referring to the Shifters. Lute walked around the table towards Charlie.
"The only reason you're still here is because daddy gave you and your hell born kind a pardon from an exorcist blade. How does that feel, to know how little you matter?" Lute asked. Charlie looked down, frowning in sadness. Adam perked up.
"Oops, almost out of time. Guess we should get into it." He said. Charlie's eyes widened.
"Oh fuck!" She shouted. She rushed to present her plan as fast as she could. "Okay I've got a lot to get through and not a lot of time and I feel like you weren't hearing me before so here it goes." She cleared her throat and started talking at a fast speed to get through everything. Which eventually turned into singing.
"I know Hell's population is out of control.
It's a bad situation.
It's taking a toll."
"If we rehab these Sinners.
And cleanse all their souls.
At my Hazbin Hotel,"
"Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself!" She shouted. She quickly picked up a drawing of the Extermination Angels flying down to Hell.
"Right, Extermination." She said.
"I know you guys fly down.
Just to kill once a year."
"And it must be annoying.
To schlep all the way here."
"If they join you in Heaven.
"That trip disappears!
You can wave that chore farewell." She took a deep breath.
"It'll be a happy day in..."
She was cut off by Adam.
"Let me stop you right there." Adam began singing. Charlie stopped.
"Oh."
"Save us all precious time."
"Okay..." Charlie hesitated.
"If what you're suggesting.
Is letting them climb.
Up the ladder.
Oh, they'd rather cross the Pearly Gates?"
"Well, uh—" Charlie started, but was stopped by Adam.
"Sorry, sweetie. But there's no defyin' their fates!"
"'Cause Hell is forever.
Whether you like it or not.
Had their chance to behave better.
Now they boil in the pot.
'Cause the rules are black and white.
There's no use in tryin' to fight it. ♫
They're burnin' for their lives.
Until we kill 'em again!"
"Okay, but.."
Adam smiled down at Charlie.
"Just try to chillax, babe.
You're wasting your breath."
Charlie chuckled awakwardly.
"Did I hear you imply.
That they don't deserve death?"
"Are they Winners?
Are they Sinners?
Without the Shifters
It's cut and dry."
"Well, actually, if you take a look..."
"Fair is fair, an eye for an eye, yeah!"
"And when all's said and done,
There's the question of fun.
And for those of us with Divine Ordainment.
Extermination is entertainment!"
"Bow-now-now-nownow
Guitar solo, fuck yeah!"
"Oh, da-ah-ah now-now-n-now-n-now-n-now-n-nownownow!"
 "Hell is forever.
Whether you like it or not."
"Had their chance to behave better.
Now they boil in the pot."
"'Cause the rules are black and white.
There's no use in tryin' to fight it.
They're burnin' for their lives.
Until we kill 'em again!"
"Fuckin' Hell's forever.
And it's meant to suck a lot.
So give up your dumb endeavor.
'Cause you don't have a shot!"
Charlie growled in anger. Her demon form coming out as she burned some of the papers she was holding.
"Long as I've got your attention.
I guess I should probably mention.
That we made the determination.
To move up the next Extermination!"
Charlie's demon form faded away as her eyes widened in horror.
"What?!" She shouted.
"Can't wait a whole year.
To slaughter those little cunts.
I know it's just been a week.
But we'll be back in six months!" Despite being a hologram, Adam grabbed Charlie by the wrist and threw her out the door. Charlie tried to rush back to the door.
"Um, wait, you-you..ugh SHIT!" She shouted, slamming her fist onto the door.
Chapter 1: Overture
Tumblr media
Once upon a time, there was a glowing city protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. It was ruled by beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and shielded all from evil. Lucifer was one of these angels. He was a dreamer with fantastical ideas for all of creation. But, he was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven. For they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world.
So, he watched as the angels began to expand the universe in their ways. From the dust of Earth, they created Adam and Lilith. Equals as the first of mankind, but despite this, Adam demanded control, and Lilith refused to submit to his will. She fled the Garden. Drawn in by her fierce independence, Lucifer found her and the two rebellious dreamers fell deeply in love. Together, they wished to share the magic of free will with humanity, offering the Fruit of Knowledge to Adam's new bride, Eve, who gladly accepted. But this gift came with a curse. For with this single act of disobedience, evil finally found its way into the Earth. With it, a new realm of darkness and sin. And the order Heaven worked to maintain was shattered.
As punishment for their reckless act, Heaven cast Lucifer and his love into the dark pit he had created, never allowing him to see the good that came from humanity, only the cruel and the wicked. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream. But Lilith thrived, empowering demon kind with her voice and her songs. And as the numbers of Hell grew, so did its power.
Threatened by this, Heaven made a truly heartless decision. That every year, they would send down an army, an Extermination, to ensure Hell and its sinners could never rise against them.
However, there was one species of Hell Born that stood up against the Extermination. The Shifters. They had the amazing ability to transform into any animal. Their strongest forms, the Night and Light Fury's. Dragons able to channel lightening and electricity. They were the only beings in Hell that could truly kill an angel. The Shifters were dubbed the protectors of Hell. But one by one, the Angels killed the Shifters, bringing them to extinction. Hell had lost its only protectors.
Lilith's hope remained. And her dream was passed down to their precious daughter, the Princess of Hell.
Charlie Morningstar, the Princess of Hell and daughter of Lucifer, closed a book titled "The Story of Hell" and looked out over Pentagram City, her home. A small key levitated above her hand. She closed her hand around it, signing in sadness.
"Don't worry, Mom. I'll make you proud." Charlie said to herself. She looked sadly out the window to Pentagram City burning to the ground, just as Vaggie, Charlie's girlfriend, walked in.
"Charlie?" Vaggie asked. Letting out a startled yelp, the key Charlie was holding transformed into her pet cat, Keekee, who scampered away.
"Aah! Oh, shit. Did you hear all that?" Charlie asked, smiling slightly. Vaggie gave a small smile.
"Uh, yeah. I was right there." She said, pointing her thumb towards the door way. Charlie smiled, her cheeks flushing lightly.
"Sorry. I get pretty worked up after an extermination happens. The story helps." Charlie looked out towards the city again. Vaggie smiled and chuckled lightly.
"Don't worry. I enjoy your theatrics. Are you okay?" Vaggie asked, her smile falling into a frown of concern.
"I'm fine. Just... thinking, ya' know? Family stuff. Royalty stuff." She said. Vaggie smiled slightly.
"Have you found any evidence of any other Shifters? Have you heard any rumors?" She asked. Charlie sighed and shook her head.
"No. Not yet, at least. But, I have to hold onto hope. That there's still a Shifter out there, somewhere." She said, looking out at the city.
The TV started out staticky, before fixing and showing two demons stabbing each other.
Well, hello there, you wayward Sinner! Do you like blood, violence, and depravity of a sexual nature? Of course you do, that's why you're in Hell! But what would you say if I told you there was a place to stay that had none of that? Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel, a misguided path to redemption! Founded five days ago by Lucifer's delusional daughter, Charlotte Morningstar!
Charlie smiled to the camera and she waved at it. Angel Dust, one of the guests at the Hotel, put up "bunny ears" behind Charlie's head.
Come place your fate in her inexperienced hands, as she tries to work through her daddy issues by fixing you! Here we offer fun things, such as somewhat functional staff
The bartender, Husk, who was clearly drunk, passed out on the counter of the bar. Niffty, the hotel maid, tried to stab and chase after a bug.
And 24-hour pest control. Custom rooms, and just look at this tacky parlor! Enjoy riveting conversation with our singular resident. Wow!
Angel Dust flipped Alastor off, clearly showing no interest in the comertial or the person behind the camera.
You will feel safe and secure at the hotel thanks to our security!
[Y/N] gave a confident smirk and crossed their arms over their chest, again, Angel Dust video bombed [Y/N]'s appearance.
All this, and more at the Hazbin Hotel! Your last desperate attempt at salvation starts here!
The tv turned off and Alastor turned to Charlie and Vaggie with his ever present smile. [Y/N] stood next to their father, an uneasy smile on their lips.
"So, what do you think?" Alastor asked, the overlay of an old-timey radio station in his voice.
On the couch, Charlie wore a face of surprise, while Vaggie wore a face of anger. The commercial was anything but convincing. It was poorly misleading and very offensive to what they were trying to do.
"I'm sorry. What the fuck was that?" Vaggie asked angrily. Alastor tilted his head in confusion. Charlie gave an uneasy smile.
"Uh, Yeah. One note, Alastor, I mean, first off, thank you so much for making this seriously amazing, but um, maybe the tone is a bit off?" Charlie suggested. "We want people to want to come here. This makes it look, um..." She hesitated, trying to find the right words. Vaggie looked at her girlfriend.
"Bad. The word you're looking for is bad." She said bluntly. Alastor tilted his head, his eyes narrowing in feign confusion.
"Funny. I was going for hilarious." Alastor said, giving out jazz hands. Vaggie scoffed.
"It didn't explain anything about how we're trying to save demons from extermination, which is the whole fucking point." Vaggie said, still angry. Charlie nodded.
"Vaggie is right Alastor, the commercial was to let sinners know we are trying to help them." Charlie said, much kinder than her girlfriend. [Y/N] sighed and stepped forward.
"Okay, look," they started, gaining everyone's attention. "My dad has been missing for seven years. He just recently came back. Plus, he doesn't really like the television." [Y/N] said. Alastor nodded at his child.
"Quite right, my dear, and besides, everyone remembers me from my radio show, the proper medium to express oneself. But, you insisted on this noisy picture box advertisement." Alastor said, tapping the television twice with his microphone staff. "So, I had a little fun with it." Alastor said. Vaggie scoffed.
"Oh, fun? You had a little fun with it?" She asked. She stood up from the couch. "Well, this is not what we want to represent us. When you two showed up here a week ago, you told us you would help run this hotel. Instead, you're mocking us. And besides. What was the little bit about [Y/N] being the only form of security? What does that make me? Nobody's gonna wanna come to a place that a powerful overlord and his child think is a waste of time." Vaggie said. [Y/N] frowned and stepped forward.
"Hey. My dad and I are still agreeing to help you. We haven't gone back on our word. Plus, I don't think your hotel is a waste of time. I actually like the idea." [Y/N] said, giving a lopsided grin. Charlie looked at the person in surprise.
"You do?" She asked. [Y/N] nodded.
"Yeah. I mean, everyone deserves a second chance, right?" [Y/N] asked. Charlie gave [Y/N] a genuine, thankful smile. [Y/N] smiled back. From his spot on the opposite side of the couch, Angel Dust rose his hand. Vaggie groaned and looked over at the Spider Demon.
"What?" Vaggie asked angrily. Angel smiled, undeterred by Vaggie's angry expression.
"If you're filmin' a commercial, can I suggest you take better advantage of the talented celebrity you have right here!" Angel said, holding a bottle of beer in one hand while pointing the other three hands at himself. Vaggie looked at him like he had lost his mind.
"Angel, you're a porn star." Vaggie said.
"A famous porn star, I'll have the horniest sinners knocking these walls down to get in." Angel said, confidence ringing in his voice. Vaggie sighed.
"We are not filming a porn as a commercial." Vaggie said. [Y/N] nodded, looking at him.
"I agree with Vaggie on this one, Angel. Maybe porn isn't the best way to go about this." They said. Angel shrugged.
"Why not? Sex sells don't it? I swear if you film me going at it with Mr. fancy talk creepy voice here," Alastor appeared right beside the couch where Angel was laying. "You'd be rolling in participants willing to stay at this tacky hotel." Angel said. Alastor laughed with amusement.
"Ha. Never going to happen." Alastor said, his eyes narrowing. [Y/N] narrowed their eyes at Angel and placed their hands on their hips.
"We are absolutely not using my dad in porn." [Y/N] said. Angel looked at [Y/N] and chuckled.
"Heh. Isn't daddy supposed to protect his little angel." Angel mocked, smiling at [Y/N]. Said person lowered their hands, curling them into fists and growling at him.
"I can protect my dad as much as he protects me." [Y/N] said, glaring at the Spider Demon. Alastor went over to [Y/N], placing a hand on their shoulder.
"I appreciate the sentiment, my dear. However, I am fully capable of protecting the both of us." Alastor said. Charlie cleared her throat and smiled uncomfortably at Angel.
"Angel, I appreciate you wanting to use your special skills to, um, attract folks to the hotel, but I really don't want to exploit you in that way." Charlie said, her eyebrows furrowed. Angel smiled at her.
"Oh, please, baby. This body was made to be exploited. I got the arms, I got the stamina, I got the legs. I got the lung capacity. Oh ho, I got the legs!" He said. "The gag reflex, the holes, the chest fluff everyone thinks are tits," Angel was counting on his fingers. Charlie chuckled uncomfortably. Suddenly, Charlie's phone started ringing. Her eyes widened.
"Hold that thought! I'll be right back." She said. She got up, taking her phone with her.
"I could keep going all night, baby!" Angel said, smirking.
"Hello? Dad?"
Okay, so, this might be a little silly to ask this now since I’m already working on Chapter 1, but should I add the songs from Hazbin Hotel into the chapters and edit them to fit the story? Or do you think it would make the story too complicated?
