Phoebe x oblivious reader? could be funny with phoebe being so blunt

so when we say reader is oblivious we mean like oblivious.

phoebe developes a little crush on reader and tells the boys about it and they urge phoebe to drops hints and to test out the waters to try and see if readers feels the same way towards phoebe.

so phoebe does that.

she buys you flower with sweet little notes. you graciously accept them adn smile and hug phoebe you drop the "you are such a good friend!" line and phoebes just nods along. she feels kind of embarrased for a few hours but is determined.

next she gets you some sort of jewelry, like earrings or a bracelet or a necklace. you still don't get it.

she starts to forgo calling reader by their name and calls them exclusive a variety of different pet names. including: babe, baby, love, sweetheart, honey. still, you don't get the hint.

this time she tries taking reader out on a date. like a romantic one, maybe like a picnic or something, its secluded, and she packs all your favorite foods.

shes always smiling at you, holding the door open for you. commenting on your posts, and she can't go 5 minutes without texting you.

the boys eventually see phoebe failing at getting you to pick up what shes putting down and they think pheebs just has no game. phoebe is all like "i swear they're just really oblivious! i took them on a date, got them flowers, i call her babe all the time but they just don't get it!"

they convince phoebe to just tell the reader.

phoebes all nervous and stand close to you, figiting with her hands.

"pheobe? are you okay?"

she laughs dryly and shakes her head. "no im not, i-i need to tell you something,"

reader looks at her confused, her gaze soaked in worry, "okay".

your face turns soft as you smile to phoebe, "aww phoebe! i like you too! you're my best friend!"

phoebes face drops and her hand hits her forehead, rubbing her temple gently. "not what i meant,"

picturing reader and munagenius in the leighton murray kimberly coming out scene from sex lives of college girls do u hear me crying

yes and i am crying aswell.

i can only imagine this scenario with reader with one of them at a time so like, progressively reader has these sweet little moments with each member of munagenius tell them about it and reader gets more confident each time.

obviously first up was with katie, i mean they kind of already had a moment but then reader wants to kind of practice coming out so they as katie to help. reader kind of cries through the whole thing but gets out the "im gay" part so it is a success.

second i feel matches the leighton coming out scene the best. and i think that moment could have been with any of munagenius but i am overwhelmingly leaning towards lucy for this scene.

lucy walks into readers room while they're crying and asks them whats wrong. its basically a carbon copy of the tv show scene.

here are somethings i think lucy would say to reader :

"(readers name) i am honored that you told me, i am so glad you feel safe enough with me to let you into such a intimate part of your being."

"you should feel so proud of yourself right now, it can be so hard to say what you just said"

lucy would be so so so supportive and kind to you.

phoebe comfort makes me🥰 maybe readers dad calls and phoebe finds her sad and crying to kyoto and is like what’s going on

omg yes

reader gets a call from her dad and hes all angry and pissed off and yells at her over something she had no control over or something of that nature and then hangs up before reader can even respond.

reader sits there for a minute trying to process, meanwhile since he hung up (reader had music playing before hand) and so her music starts back up and kyoto starts playing.

reader progressively gets more upset as the song reaches the line 'i don't forgive you, but please don't hold me to it' reader starts sobbing.

idk if you guys do this but when im crying to a song i put it on repeat so it on a loop so in this situation thats what reader does.

phoebe hears kyoto being replayed for the third time and decides to investigate.

she walks into readers room all like "someone must really like my song," and then stops dead in her tracks when she sees readers red face and teary eyes.

immediatly kicks into caretaker mode and walks up to you, lightly grabbing your readers upper arm, she rubs sooth circles into your flesh. "what's wrong baby?" she asks.

reader looks up at phoebe, her eyes filled with tears as they connect with phoebe's which are laced with concern.

reader lunges into phoebe and just clings onto her.

phoebe sits down next to you and just holds you until your ready to talk. she reached to your phone and shuts off the music. she replacing it with her humming kyoto instead.

when you finally are ready to speak she holds your hand, full attention on you.

"it was my dad... he called me out of the blue to yell at me."

phoebe frowns at your statement and pulls you into another hug. "its okay baby, he's an asshole and he doesn't matter. don't listen to a thing he says."

in conclusion phoebe is THE BEST at comforting you when you're sad.
