I regret to inform you that Discord's new Terms of Service includes an arbitration clause. You can find it here https://discord.com/terms/#16. This clause includes an opt-out, which I have transcribed here:
You can decline this agreement to arbitrate by emailing an opt-out notice to [email protected] within 30 days of April 15, 2024 or when you first register your Discord account, whichever is later; otherwise, you shall be bound to arbitrate disputes in accordance with the terms of these paragraphs. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, Discord also will not be bound by them.
These clauses are underhanded ways that corporations seek to deprive you of your right to participate in class-action lawsuits and your right to a jury trial. (This does only apply to us users ,other people still spread the word though )

I have some doubts about how well a 2 centimeter fairy would do in slime rancher 2.
The last character you drew/wrote about is now stuck in the last game you played. How screwed are they?

Less than three months after U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and her colleagues launched an investigation into the four major American manufacturers of inhalers, three of the companies have relented, making commitments to cap costs for their inhalers at $35 for patients who now pay much more.
25 million Americans have asthma and 16 million Americans have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), meaning over 40 million Americans rely on inhalers to breathe.
Inhalers have been available since the 1950s, and most of the drugs they use have been on the market for more than 25 years.
According to a statement from the Wisconsin Senator’s office, inhaler manufacturers sell the exact same products at a much lower costs in other countries. One of AstraZeneca’s inhalers, Breztri Aerosphere, costs $645 in the U.S.—but just $49 in the UK. Inhalers made by Boehringer Ingelheim, GlaxoSmithKline, and Teva have similar disparities.
Baldwin and her Democratic colleagues—New Mexico Sen. Ben Ray Luján, Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders—pressured the companies to lower their prices by writing letters to GSK, Boehringer Ingelheim, Teva, and AstraZeneca requesting a variety of documents that show why such higher prices are charged in America compared to Europe.
As a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, Baldwin recently announced that as a result of the letters they had secured commitments from three of the four to lower the out-of-pocket costs of inhalers to a fixed $35.00 rate.
“For the millions of Americans who rely on inhalers to breathe, this news is a major step in the right direction as we work to lower costs and hold big drug companies accountable,” said Senator Baldwin.
A full list of the inhalers and associated drugs can be viewed here.
It’s the second time in the last year that pharmaceutical companies were forced to provide reasonable prices—after the cost of insulin was similarly capped successfully at $35 per month thanks to Congressional actions led by the White House.

I love second hand shopping, but lately it's started becoming a lot more painful.
Like, I get labor goes into setting up product listings, and at least online a lot of the payments get a cut taken out, but it's still wild to me that it's become acceptable to sell a decade plus old polyester scarf with a hole in it for 40 dollars. Like these are still secondhand items with wear and stains and loose threads and missing buttons and matting. I thought part of the point of shopping secondhand was to be affordable.
And that's ignoring the people that will charge more for a used item than it costs to buy it brand new.
And at thrift stores themselves.. Places like goodwill have started auctioning their nicer pieces and cluttering the stores with disorganized messes of shein. They're charging the heck out of items they LITERALLY GET FOR FREE.
I found this cute owl plate, it was genuinely covered in cracks but I still thought it would be nice to put snacks on or something. This plate, with so many cracks I initially thought it was a design choice until i examined it more closely, was being sold for 55 dollars.
I know this post is venty but I'm just tired. Rent, it's cheaper, the price is only skyrocketing. Make your own food, it's cheaper, groceries have only risen so much you have to spend 20+ dollars on a batch of cupcakes. Buy sustainably and local, it's better for the environment, that candle will just cost 46 dollars. Make your own clothes, it'll cost 200 dollars in fabric. Alter your clothes, it'll just still cost 50+ dollars in supplies and you'll have nobody to teach you. Use things till they fall apart, companies will just make things more and more fragile until they fall apart in a year anyways.
To the point we finally end up at go to the thrift store.
It'll just cost all your money anyways but this time what you bought will fall apart even faster and everything worthwhile will be sold to the highest bidder.

Weird peeve time. Calling lab grown gemstones “fake” is stupid because it’s the same shit just not formed naturally. An artificially grown diamond is the same shit as a natural diamond it is the exact same material bro it’s all fuckign carbon

Someone tell me where twenty dollar movie tickets are?? Not to mention you can't bring any outside food or drink, so to keep your blood sugar and pots stable it's at min another ten dollars.
The parks are shadeless, empty, and flooded, except for one small one my joints can keep up with. There's no where to sit except the outer edge
It's a 120+ dollars to go bowling.
Malls are banning loitering and teens. Food is more than twenty dollars a meal.
There's nowhere safe to skate/bike except biking in aforementioned flood happy parks
The streets have no shade or places to sit. You have to dodge cars to get anywhere and walk a mile+ to public transport
There are no game courts. Few advertised public events, except ones that charge you 10 dollars for a glass of lemonade
No one has much time to spare outside of school, much less to schedule or provide rides
Any classes cost at least a hundred dollars a person if you can miraculously find in person ones
Almost nobody has an actual lawn
I really don't understand what teenagers are supposed to do
