Kittypet characters have the biggest potential and it saddens me that the Erins don't use it enough. Imagine a kittypet patrol, defending fellow cats from the "savages from the forest" or similar. Kittypets being knowledgeable of things like weather and astronomy. Kittypets knowing monsters aren't actually alive and its only the twolegs piloting them.

Have you guys realised how Jay's lighting in dr season 2 ep 8 is yellow too?

Like I'm probably putting too much thought into it but

Yellow lighting is fairly cooler than blue.

I might be reading too much into it but Jay doesn't remember his past right? Doesn't that mean he also didn't know he could control lightning before something happened that triggered it?

Now imagine Jay realising he has lightning powers. And before going to the administration he had no idea what elemental powers are, and the administration showed elemental masters as bad ppl.

So he thinks he's dangerous and will be fired if anyone found out, and most important of all, he is afraid of his power.

Therefore he makes it as weak as can be.

Or, Jay is still trying to figure out his powers. With his memory gone, his memory of how to control lightning is lost.

When he finds his powers, they’re erratic and uncontrollable. Jay has no clue what to do, and we can assume with his knowledge and experience of lightning completely reset, the lightning itself also reset, letting it become as weak as it can be.

“But pancake!” I hear you say. “Jays lightning is blue in the beginning of the og series!” Because he had the nunchucks of lightning. He had training wheels. Those regulated the strength of the lightning for him, and allowed him to master the element easier as a kid. Same with the fire sword, and the earth scythe, and the ice shurikens.

Nya and Lloyd and the others without these “training wheels” struggled for a bit w their element.

So I like to think once Jay joins the monastery and relearns his element and gets his memories back, his lightning gets hotter as he grows in strength. BOOM.

anyway ive said it a couple times now but mostly disconnected and in tags so to make it clear my headcanon is that RL was run by the Listeners instead of the Watchers, and that's why it was so non-angsty and the Canary Curse didn't apply. the nausea and difficulty controlling their bodies that the players experienced was because the players weren't used to Listener magic anchoring their souls to new bodies instead of Watcher magic. Gem didn't face the same nausea or nearly as much difficulty because her history with universehopping (between Empires and HC, as well as with inserting herself into the life series) gave her experience with this sort of soul-to-body disconnect. Grian died first both because of his own recklessness and because the Listeners weren't sure whether he was with the other Watchers or not and didn't want to take the chance of letting him get too powerful.

The hard truth about autism acceptance that a lot of people don't want to hear is that autism acceptance also inherently requires acceptance of people who are just weird.

And yes, I mean Those TM people. Middle schoolers who growl and bark and naruto run in the halls. Thirtysomethings who live with their parents. Furries. Fourteen-year-olds who identify as stargender and use neopronouns. Picky eaters. Adults in fandoms. People who talk weird. People who dress weird.

Because autistic people shouldn't have to disclose a medical diagnosis to you to avoid being mocked and ostracized for stuff that, at absolute worst, is annoying. Ruthlessly deriding people for this stuff then tacking on a "oh, but it's okay if they're autistic" does absolutely nothing to help autistic people! Especially when undiagnosed autistic people exist.

Like it or not, if you want to be an ally to autistic people, you're going to have to take the L and leave eccentric, weird people alone. Even if you don't know them to be autistic. You shouldn't be looking for Acceptable Reasons to be mean to people in the first place. Being respectful should be the default.
