Goodbye Merlin! (2008-2012)

[So, we’re at the end. Tomorrow (here in Europe is basically today lol) will go on air the VERY LAST episode of this wonderful show. We’re all sad but also excited to watch its conclusion, because we all know it’s gonna be epic. I know I used a quote from Doctor Who, but I think that this quote really fits the end of Merlin: the show may finish but we all know that we’ll never forget all the good memories and the good stories and the wonderful characters of this epic show, we’ll carry them with us FOREVER. Oh my God, her lips were quivering. I thought that was just acting. This explains the shortness of the scene and why her dress was dry 3 seconds later.

“Angel Coulby, who plays Queen Guinevere, recalls how they had to film in a disused lime quarry at Trefil, 400m above sea level:  ‘No matter what the weather’s like anywhere else in Wales, in Trefil it will always be raining and cold. We had to do a scene where we were submerged in a lake, and it was freezing. They gave us wetsuits, but they just didn’t work because the water immediately seeped into them. Here was I, the Queen, waist deep in the lake with my husband, King Arthur (Bradley James). We stayed in there for… I don’t know how long it was - it felt like hours! We were freezing to death while the rest of the camera crew leisurely discussed what they were going to do next! I came out of there and I was freezing - I couldn’t feel my body! That was horrible.”

what downright breaks me is that amy's name was not originally in the tomb. she rewrote time, once again, to be with the man she loved. but she's amy pond, and she remembers everything. not only will every day of her new life be a reminder of what life is like without the doctor, but the memory of a life without rory will always be tucked away somewhere in her head, too.
