It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20. I remember making tracklist after tracklist, obsessing over the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs I am still unfailingly proud of now. Therefore, you have 6 From The Vault tracks! I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing up, now) and the memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation. Theory timeee!!!

Firstly most of the things that you'll read in this post are my own observations but it's totally normal if it sounds familiar because we all think the same way 😭🤡

FIRST

The one we all have seen by now haha

All the buttons represent her albums and the first button she presses is 3rd which is in the colour Purple meaning is obvious

Speak Now is the 3rd re-recording

SECOND

She then presses the 5th button WHICH is blue, very likely representing 1989 and then we also get the Wildest Dream video vibes

1989 most likely is the 4th re-recording

THIRD

At the end when the Castle is burning from the bottom and we see 3 dragons, that could refer to-

"I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you"

But for some reason it makes me think of reputation for some very weird reasons-

FOURTH

And for now the last, read this carefully soo I have noticed this pattern with the re-recording releases

1st was Fearless which is Country

2nd was RED which is most likely counted as Pop

3rd is most likely Speak Now as we know we just need confirmation lol and Speak Now is Country

And the 4th is most likely going to be 1989 whiiich is Pop

Soooo if such a pattern is being followed theeen our 2nd last re-record should be Taylor Swift which is Country and our last should be reputation which is Pop and also maybe one of the reason could be-

"Old Taylor can't come to the phone now. Why? Oh Cause she's DEAD."

Midnights is a wild ride of an album and I couldn’t be happier that my co pilot on this adventure was Jack Antonoff. He’s my friend for life (presumptuous I know but I stand by it) and we’ve been making music together for nearly a decade HOWEVER… this is our first album we’ve done with just the two of us as main collaborators. We’d been toying with ideas and had written a few things we loved, but Midnights actually really coalesced and flowed out of us when our partners (both actors) did a film together in Panama. Jack and I found ourselves back in New York, alone, recording every night, staying up late and exploring old memories and midnights past. We were so lucky to also work with our brilliant collaborators Sam Dew, Sounwave, Lana Del Rey, Jahaan Sweet, Keanu Beats, William Bowery, and Zoe Kravitz. Laura Sisk was our excellent engineer. The wonderful and wise Beth Garrabrant took the album photographs. Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights. Which is out now
