Hilarious how people act like hookup culture is like. This evil modern problem of the youth of today with social media.
My grandma was hooking up in fields long before the internet was even a concept. In fact, it is a well known story in my family that she'd sometimes come back from "working later" looking tipsy.
In fact YOUR grampa or grandma probably hooked up with people at bars, big parties, all that shit.
Talk to your grandparents about their youth and you'd be surprised how similar teen/ya culture is to today. Just because they are moralistic about "the youth of today", doesn't mean they weren't exactly like us. In fact, a lot of them were doing the exact shit they criticize teens of today for doing.

I rly hate the Satanic Panic & the moral panic surrounding violence in video games in the 90s, coz it's now impossible to talk about the social implications of violent video games in a realistic sense.
No, violence in video games does not create serial killers in the way most people imagine it would.
However, it's very important to notice how after 9/11, a lot of violent video games pivoted their content from silly gratuitous cartoon gore to more realistic military shooters set in the Levant from a US American lens. It's also important to notice the connection of these games & their toxic online multi-player voice chats to Gamer Gate in 2014.
It's obviously not as black & white as it was presented in the 80s & 90s, I dont think everyone who played early Call of Duty games is a white supremacist who wants to join the military to kill people in the middle east, but I think it's dangerous to pretend like video games or any media can't have an impact on the way people think about violence.
I think what makes all the difference here is how that violence is portrayed, what the message behind it is, what the motives are behind the people who crafted that message, who the victims of that violence are, how they are portrayed & the greater cultural context that surrounds it.

Thinking really hard about Nahida hiding/repressing alot of her more childish mannerisms because the Sages openly resented her for having them and being an inadequate god as a result in her early life, but these traits are things Wanderer actively likes about her because he gets along well with kids :(
Like say She gets a little embarrassed when he notices her splashing in puddles when it rains, or tinkering with human toys because as it’s mentioned in her character stories the Sages refused to give her some (if any at all), but he always just goes along with it and doesn’t mind her being silly (him giving him the Hat Guy nickname would fall under this). Wanderer strikes me as someone who finds childlike joy & innocence kind of comforting/cathartic to be around especially as something he can trust so I like to imagine this is an extra thing that makes him just genuinely enjoy Nahida’s presence. And it’s great for Nahida because I think she really benefits from having someone on more equal footing as her who doesn’t hate her for being a child

Not obvious at all since sharing a plate, touching arms and holding hands while eating is something normal everyone does. Don't worry about it

i think genshin players spend so much time complaining abt playable characters not dying that they never acknowledge just how beautiful and meaningful the npc deaths can be. the remuria quest is the best example of how the traveler's curiosity and kind nature alone is healing teyvat, as everyone else is moving forward they choose to stay behind and learn the stories most have forgotten. the old world that the twin knew and hated is gone, but the traveler is choosing to reminisce and remember the best parts and pass the memories on.
