maybe you meant a little too much to me, and maybe i meant a little too little to you

I ran into your arms and you felt like home.

Everyone tells you that you deserve better but no one is willing to give it to you

what does it mean, that i still miss you?

what does it mean, that i still want to be yours?

what does it mean, that yours are the only eyes i dream of?

what does it mean, that i would do anything to go back and time and fix what we lost?

what does it mean, that i cannot fathom anything more painful than never again being yours?

what does it mean?

The thing is I know i never have..

I think what breaks my heart, isn’t that we didn’t work out. It’s that we walked away knowing neither one of us truly wanted to. It’s the fact that I always thought love was enough to fight for something, but that night I realized it’s not always enough. That no matter how much love there is between two souls, you need to set each other free. I’ll never forget how hard I cried that night. The hopeless romantic in me died.
