You two passed by a boutique who looked quite old and there was bunch of unique objects outside of the store, which automatically caught y’all eyes.

-They have cool bracelets! We should get matching ones babe!

Ace enthusiastically exclaimed grabbing two bracelet and heading inside the old store. You chuckled and followed your boyfriend inside, with a smile.

A woman who seemed to be a bit older than you two welcomed y’all into the store. She pushed her dark long hair behind her shoulder as she fixed her glasses and continued knitting, which seemed to be scarf.

-Mmm, look there is more options..

Ace pointed at with a serious expression. He got closer to the wall where multiple bracelets were hanging. You approached him and started observing them with him.

-If you buy two, you get a discount in the rings.

The woman spoke without looking at us. Ace looked at you brushing off his shoulders. He wasn’t really into rings but he pointed them, insisting you look to see if you like anything. As you looked through them, he walked around the store, a smile floating on his lips to the view of all the weird objects.

The seller asked as she leaned over her counter, putting away her knitting project.

Ace asked, his back faced to her. You glanced over at your boyfriend as you walked back to him with nothing, no ring really interested you.

She continued with a smile. She didn’t seem like any harm, but you still weren’t very excited about trying something weird from a stranger. Your man grabbed his bag and handed yours with one of the bracelets.

Ace smiled as he waved at the lady. She smiled back and as we left her store, she went back into knitting with a mischievous smirk.

You threw the shopping bags in a corner in Ace’s room as you jumped into the bed, totally exhausted from walking everywhere. Discovering a new island with him is visiting at least 5 restaurants a day, looking through most boutiques, visiting unpopular spots and making out somewhere and then ending the day at some bar with the rest of the crew. You were exhausted to say the least.

Ace laughed as he watched you laid down on the bed.

You mumbled in a tired tone that stirred another chuckle out of the pirate. You rolled on your back, but something got out of your pocket: the blue candy. You totally forgot about it with everything.

What you didn’t expect was to literally see a naked woman in the bed just next to you. You screamed in total shock and pushed her & the sheets down the bed. You quickly grabbed Aces dagger on the night stand and shakily sat on the bed, ready to attack.

The mysterious woman finally started to raise from the floor and rubbed her head from the shock.

You joined a group of people playing card games on the deck after you finished all your tasks of the day. You were sitting at a table in this mildly crowded bar with some member of the crew. You played with your ustensiles as you felt jealousy building up. Your eyes throwing daggers at Ace’a tattooed back. Your boyfriend was caught up in a conversation with two, not one, but two women at the bar.

He was always painted as an extrovert as he enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them. It goes without to say that he also had a lot of friends and your relationship itself started on a friendship.

There was nonetheless an issue that you couldn’t quite fix with him, he was too fkg flirty with strangers. He could be social or whatever he said, but you knew he just likes to get a reaction out of you by throwing a nice smile at some random girl.

-Are you planning a murder? Marco teased as he watched you glare at the fire user.

Your gaze shifted to your friend and you let a deep sigh with a defeated expression.

-Ugh, he’s so annoying.

You whined while ruthlessly dropping the spoon on the table with a slight pout. He chuckled while throwing a good luck, knowing it won’t be simple to tame down his younger brother bad habits. You sipped on your drink, trying to forget about this and enjoy your time here, before going back to the boat and sail for days or maybe weeks.

Izou commented noticing the change in your behaviour ever since y’all got there. He tried to distract your thoughts and it kind of worked as you agreed and searched through your purse.

You exclaimed happy as you checked yourself out in your small mirror pocket. Then, Izou and you engaged in a fun conversation talking about your similar interest and your impressions of the island. By that time, you forgot about Ace, not even noticing a man stopping behind you and tapping your shoulder. Izou frowned and you looked over them to see a handsome tan man smiling at you.

-Hey, I couldn’t miss how pretty you are and I was wondering if I could maybe invite you for a drink? I hope I’m not interrupting!

He explained and finished by pointing at you and your friend. You shook your head with a giggle. You smiled back flattered by the compliment and his politeness, but you had a boyfriend (even tho he wasn’t really boyfriending rn💀).

You replied with an apologetical smile. He seemed disappointed, but flashed his light teeth again and you noticed a dimple on each of his cheeks.

Ace spat back annoyed, you could see his already thin patience running out. He grabbed his hat on the counter and put it over his dark hair. He stood up, standing face to face with the stranger. You noticed the two girls exchange a look, before they stared at you and gave you a sorry smile, that you awkwardly received.

-Well, she refused anyway, but I still wanna invite her table.

The man continued plainly as he was lighting up a cigarette. Ace cocked one of his eyebrow as he was thinking about it, he looked at you for a plit second. Your boyfriend rolled his eyes and smirked, his signature cocky grin.

-Nah, if she needs anything, she has me. So we will be good thanks. Go find another girl, there is plenty of them here.

He concluded, but the man in front of him didn’t seem satisfied. He exhaled a cloud of smoke in your boyfriend’s face, before he slightly leant in front of Ace.

It was the last straw for your boyfriend that grabbed the stranger collar and punched him in the stomach. The stranger fell on the floor dragging a table in his fall. An uproar surged in the bar, people yelling excited from the unfolding fight.

Ace growled back as he walked away from him. You shook your head not quite believing this encounter turned into a fight. He walked over to the table you were sitting with an apologetic smile. You glared at him with a disapproving expression.

-Hey, sorry for creating a scene. I should’ve stayed with you more tonight.

He apologized with a peck on your forehead. The commander put his hat on your head. You sighed but a small smirk creeped up your lips. You pushed his hat slightly backward so you can stare at him.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Portgas D Ace x Reader (feat. Luffy and Sabo)

Warnings: just fluff, set when the ASL bros were children, use of Y/n, fem!R, maybe ooc Ace? i took inspo from a chapter of the story 'A New Start' from ao3.

English is not my first language so feel free to correct me.

"Valentine's Day?"

"What is that?"

"Probably stupid adult stuff"

Makino giggled when she saw the expressions of the three children in front of her. Luffy and Sabo were confused, while Ace didn't seem at all interested in the topic that casually came out of the woman's mouth.

"It's not just for adults, it's a day that applies to everyone. Valentine's Day is the day dedicated to love"

At those words she saw Sabo and Ace's cheeks redden, while Luffy continued to look at her, tilting his head.

"Usually during this day, engaged and married couples exchange gifts, flowers, sweets and celebrate their love. I find it very cute"

"I want to celebrate Valentine's Day too if i can eat!" Luffy exclaimed with a smile, making the woman laugh.

"Well if you want to celebrate Valentine's Day, then you have to find the person to spend the day with. Tell me children, isn't there any girl you like?" she then asked, looking at them one by one.

Ace and Sabo exchanged a look and Luffy pointed a finger at Ace.

“Ace likes Y/n!”

Ace immediately turned to his brother and punched him in the head.

SBONK!

"Ouch! You hurt me Ace!" Luffy shouted in pain.

Luffy began to whimper and rub the bump that was growing on his head, while Sabo looked at him with a pitying smile.

"I don't like Y/n! I don't like her at all!!" Ace retorted loudly.

But Makino easily noticed the child's freckled cheeks turning red as if they were two tomatoes.

"Yes, you like her!" Luffy replied. “Every day you keep talking about her and you always say that you can't wait to go back and play with her in the forest!”

Sabo and Makino chuckled and Ace looked at him annoyed, clenching his fists.

"And when me or Sabo want to play with Y/n, you always complain because you don't like it when we play with her!" continued the youngest. "And we know you always go to the village secretly so you can be the only one with her!"

"Shut up!"

Ace with a cry lunged at Luffy, ready to punch him on the head again, but Luffy ran to hide behind Sabo, who at the same time tried to stop Ace.

Makino crouched on the ground, hands on her knees.

“Hey Ace, why don’t you gift Y/n something?” she asked innocently, causing the three kids to freeze and turn to look at her. "I'm sure she would be very happy"

Ace looked at her sheepishly.

"B-But i don't have the faintest idea what to give her..." he muttered, lowering his gaze. "I don't want to give her something that she doesn't like..."

Luffy and Sabo exchanged glances and giggled in amusement, but before Ace could scold them, Makino called his attention.

"Try flowers. Almost all women like to receive flowers"

Ace felt his face get even redder.

"F-Flowers you said?"

Makino nodded.

"I think you can find a lot of beautiful flowers in the forest right? Y/n will be happy to know that you personally picked them for her"

"Yes! Y/n told me she likes the red and the yellow flowers!" Luffy exclaimed, raising a hand. "Oh! And she likes bugs too"

"Luffy we can't give Y/n bugs for Valentine's Day" Sabo sighed with a smile.

"You won't give anything to Y/n!" Ace suddenly blurted out, looking at them. "I'll be the only one to do it!"

Luffy stomped his foot on the ground with a pout on his lips, annoyed by Ace's jealous behavior.

"Ugh! That's not fair! Y/n is my friend too!"

Sabo leaned towards his ear with a smirk, even though everyone present could hear his words.

"Yes, but Ace is in love with her and has to win her over, do you understand Luffy?"

"Shut up Sabo!!"

Makino couldn't help but look at them tenderly, giggling again.

So, a little later, the three found themselves in the forest and by order of Ace, Sabo and Luffy began to collect all the yellow and red flowers they found, which were not poisonous, and then brought them to him.

After about ten minutes, a huge pile of colorful flowers was at Ace's feet.

"Uhm... Tell me, Ace..." Sabo muttered in confusion. “Now how are you going to give all these flowers to Y/n?”

"Yeah..." Luffy nodded. "There are so many, you won't be able to hold them all in your hands alone"

Ace crossed his arms, tilting his head and contemplating what to do. Then his face lit up and he raised his index finger.

"I have an idea"

The three kids collected all the flowers, since Ace didn't intend to leave EVEN ONE behind, and then ran to Dadan's shelter.

"Hey, you brats! Explain to me why my floor is full of flowers!" the woman said, taking a drag of her cigarette.

Ace returned the annoyed look she was giving them, but Luffy smiled without any concern.

"Ace wants to bring all these flowers to Y/n, but we don't know how. Can you help us?"

SBONK!

Poor Luffy fell to the ground on his face after Ace punched him once again on the head.

"Why don't you ever shut your mouth!?" he blurted out angrily, his cheeks red.

Dadan widened his eyes and meanwhile, Dogra and Magra joined the conversation.

“Why do you want to give flowers to Y/n?” the first asked with genuine curiosity, not understanding the sudden reason.

Actually everyone, including Luffy, Sabo, Dadan, the bandits, Makino and the Mayor knew that Ace was completely in love with you, but they didn't believe that he would have had the courage to confess his feelings so soon.

"Today is Valentine's Day" Sabo replied. "And Makino told us that during this day couples exchange gifts. And Ace wants to give flowers to Y/n"

"Yes, but you took way too many, just hope that little girl doesn't throw them all away" Dadan replied ironically.

Ace gritted his teeth with red cheeks.

"Instead of complaining, don't you have any ideas to help us, you old hag??"

"What did you say?!"

Dadan was about to lunge at Ace, but Magra stopped her with a hand on her shoulder, before the situation could escalate.

"How about we make a bouquet?" he asked with a smile.

Ace looked at him silently and then nodded, trusting his advice.

So all the bandits went to work, along with Ace, Sabo and Luffy. After half an hour, a huge bouquet of red and yellow flowers, complete with a bow, was ready to be given.

"Wow!" Luffy exclaimed with bright eyes.

"I'm sure Y/n will like it a lot" Sabo then said and Ace turned to look at them.

"Do you really this so?"

The two nodded without hesitation, showing him their thumbs up.

As the doors of the inn flew open, Makino's eyes widened as she saw a huge bouquet of flowers walking by itself. But next, Luffy and Sabo also entered and the woman realized that the one who was hidden by the flowers was just Ace.

"Good job, you found a lot of flowers! Y/n will love them!" Makino said with a smile, walking away from the counter and towards the three.

Ace's cheeks were red again and his gaze was on the floor.

"Makino where is Y/n?" Luffy asked her looking around, since you usually hung around the inn to spend time with her and the customers when you had nothing to do.

"She left a little while ago" replied a man sitting at a table, then he took a sip from his mug of beer.

"With another little boy" continued another, as he chewed his food.

Ace's eyes widened and he hastily passed the bouquet to Sabo.

"What do you mean she went off with another boy?! Who was he?! What does he want to do to her?!"

The men and Makino chuckled in amusement at his jealousy and protectiveness.

"He said he wanted to tell her a secret. I saw that he was holding a letter in his hand. Oh, young love. How beautiful~" a woman replied to him and then sighed.

Ace clenched his fists at his sides. He had no idea who this kid was, but if he was going to do what he wanted to do...

"You're too late kid" laughed another customer. "But maybe you still have time to reach them before that boy steals your girlfriend!"

"S-She's not my girlfriend!" Ace blurted out as he felt his face go on fire and his heart pound inside his chest.

Then he turned sharply towards Luffy and Sabo.

"Let's go!" he exclaimed and then ran out of the inn, followed by the other two, leaving behind the shouts of encouragement and laughter from Makino and everyone else.

Ace ran down the street for seconds that felt like endless hours. This wasn't really happening, it wasn't possible! Since when was there a boy in love with you? And how long had he been in love with you?? Had you ever spoken to each other? Was he your friend?? I mean, you lived in the village of Foosha, but you always spent time on Mount Corvo with them, he thought that your only friends were himself, Sabo and Luffy...

"Ace look!"

Luffy's voice woke him from his thoughts and the three saw the figures of two children facing each other not far away, under the trunk of a tree. There was no doubt about it, it was you and that boy.

Ace ran to hide behind a bush, followed by the other two. It was a miracle that you didn't notice their presence and especially the huge bouquet of flowers.

"What are they doing?" Sabo asked softly.

Ace watched you two, gritting his teeth. That little boy was holding the letter that the woman at the inn had mentioned and he was reading it to you. Wait... No, that wasn't just a letter...

"HE WROTE HER A LOVE LETTER?!" the three exclaimed in chorus under their breath.

Ace felt jealousy grow in his body more and more when he saw the way that little boy was reciting the words of love he dedicated to you. You on the other hand, looked at him with wide eyes and red cheeks.

Shit. He thought. Have i really arrived too late?

Ace almost had the instinct to punch himself. Stupid, why hadn't he thought of this before?? Why hadn't he had the courage to tell you before?!

"A-And so i'd like to ask you i-if..."

The three pricked up their ears as they heard the words of the boy who was stuttering from shyness.

"I-If... If you want to be my girlfriend?"

"WHAAAT?!" Ace, Sabo and Luffy wanted to scream, but they miraculously managed to keep their voices low.

For a few moments silence fell. Until you flashed a smile at the boy.

"Oh no! Is she going to say yes to him??" Luffy whispered in panic.

You squeezed your hands shyly.

"I-" you murmured.

Until...

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!"

The boy let out a cry of terror when you saw Ace's body pop out of a bush and run at full speed towards you and your eyes widened.

"Ace?!"

Ace positioned himself in front of you and crossed his arms over his chest.

"W-Who are you??" the boy asked, looking at him fearfully.

Ace returned the look with a murderous one and in his mind he cursed himself for not having brought his pipe with him, to be able to threaten him better.

"Get lost, loser" he said in an icy tone.

The little boy let out a squeak and ran away with tears in his eyes, taking his love letter with him.

"Ace, what are you doing here?!" you asked, more shocked than angry at his intrusion.

Ace turned to look at you, taking a step towards you.

"Would you have said yes?" he asked you back.

You tilted your head and furrowed your eyebrows in confusion.

"What?"

"Would you have said yes to him??" he repeated. "Would you have become his girlfriend if i hadn't come!?"

You felt your cheeks heat up again and didn't notice how his were just as red, focusing your gaze on his eyes.

"I-I... Uhm..."

"Ace!"

You and him turned towards the voice that had called him and at that moment you noticed the presence of Luffy and Sabo too. The blond threw him the bouquet of flowers and he caught it.

"H-Here. These are for you..." Ace murmured, then handed you the flowers.

Your eyes widened, surprised by his loving gesture.

"For me?" you asked. "R-Really?"

He nodded and you gently took them from his hands, immediately feeling the delicate scent of those flowers invade your nostrils.

"I picked them up for you this morning" Ace continued, looking down at the grass and absentmindedly kicking the dirt with his feet. "I mean, Luffy and Sabo helped me. And Dadan and the bandits helped us make the bouquet... And Makino told me to give you some flowers and Luffy said you like the red and yellow ones, so-"

Smack~

Ace fell silent when he felt your soft lips rest on his freckled cheek for a few seconds and when he quickly turned to look at you, he saw you smiling shyly, hidden behind the flower petals.

"I-I really like them, Ace. Thank you"

Ace felt like his heart wanted to jump out of his chest.

"And anyway..." you continued then, clutching the flowers to your chest. "I wouldn't have said yes to him. B-Because... Because i already like someone else..."

Ace's hands began to sweat, as did his forehead and it felt like his stomach was flipping with emotion. He had never felt this way before.

"O-Oi, that someone..." he swallowed nervously. "T-That someone isn't Sabo or Luffy... Is it?"

You giggled, then took a small step towards him.

"No, Ace" you replied, shaking your head. "It's you"

You took his hand and Ace's eyes widened, then he squeezed it, making your fingers intertwine. Behind him, Luffy and Sabo opened their eyes wide and then high-fived each other with satisfied smiles.

"Hey Y/n" he murmured looking at you. “Do you want to come with me to explore the forest?”

You nodded without hesitation, closing your eyes.

"Sure Ace"

Sabo and Luffy watched you walk away hand in hand, still left behind the bush.

"So... Are they boyfriend and girlfriend now?" the youngest asked with a smile.

"We're still too young for these things" Sabo replied shaking his head and Luffy turned to look at him confused. "But at least, now they have clarified things and they know that no one will ever come between the two of them. Aah, young love~"

"Sabo you sound like that old woman"

☆ Kano high club! part.1

➔featuring; whitebeard pirates, f!reader, reader is in a relationship with Ace, Sun pirates

➔warning: might contain mature content beware, talks quickly about topics such as prostitution, traffic

➔summary: Jimbei visits the Whitebeard pirates to advise them of an incident that occurred over the past weeks where a bunch of pirates kidnapped mermaids from the Fishmen Island. After collecting enough informations and investigating, the Sun pirates realized that the girls were stuck on a small island working under Kano High Club, an “exotic” club exploiting the young girls. That’s when they decide to put on a rescue plan where you become the main key⚔️

The morning is slow on the MobyDick until a familiar ship is recognized far away. It’s indeed the ship of the famous Warlord Jimbei,captain of the Sun pirates from the Fishmen Island. Being a good accointance of Whitebeard, the pirate left in charge of observing any coming threat, happily screams the news across the ship. The sun hasn’t risen completely yet, so they just watch their friend’s ship slowly come closer, as the sun guides them to the MobyDick.

As the familiar blue man steps in the boat, he’s welcomed with cheers and enthusiasm which left him smiling a little before he politely greets the captain Whitebeard.

-Whitebeard, it’s been a while!

-It has been, glad to see you’re doing fine Jimbei!

-Oi Jimbei! Got us any sweets from your island? They are so good!

The question is soon followed by cheers and agreements from others as they watch the man curiously.

-Sorry, I haven’t had the time for any present.

-Don’t be sorry for that, we are pirates we don’t expect any gifts!

Whitebeard comments as he laughs earning acknowledging nods from mostly. The old man brings some sake to his lips.

-Oh Jimbei! Good morning-Oi!

Marco greets him as he walks towards the group of men. It’s still pretty early in the morning, but as one of the main doctors of the ship and commander of the 1st division, he takes the responsibility to check up on Whitebeard’s health before the rest wake up. He approaches the medicines and verifies the data. He nods as everything seems to be alright.

-Oh Marco! How have you been!

-I have been great! It’s nice to you!

Jimbei nods and he can’t help but browse around the big ships in research of a friend.

-Ace is still sleeping?

The Warlord asks with a chuckle which sparks giggles and teasing comments.

-He has a girlfriend now, forget about him waking up early!

-All hopes of Ace becoming a morning person is gone!

Jimbei furrows his eyebrows curious to who could’ve possibly caught the heart of his stubborn and reckless friend. He smiles at the teasing remarks of the crew towards the 2nd commander relationship.

-I didn’t expect Ace to be the type to be in a relationship.

Jimbei comments as he sits down.

-She joined the crew not too long ago, she’s a great fighter and has a great spirit. She’s in my division.

Marco explains, but the attention suddenly switch to a brunette behind him, which is none other than the man in question: Ace. He walks down the stairs with Yawn, simply wearing some comfy shorts and some sandals. He rubs his eyes and they open in shock at the view of Jimbei. His smile curve his lips as he screams the Fishmen name with enthusiasm.

-We were just talking about you-oi!

Marco comments with an amused smile. Pops laugh at the view of his son happily hugging their friend.

-Im just too popular, it seems like

Ace jokes as he seats down with crossed arms and a smug expression. One of the crew member is quick to hit the back of his head , humbling him.

-you were not with Y/n?

Someone ask while some giggles bloom between the men. True high school girls when it comes to the 2nd commander.

-Nah, she slept with the girls yesterday.

-I didn’t know you were the romantic type

Jimbei teases the younger man with a friendly smile. Ace smiles wildly and lean back on the chair.

-What can I say~

The young pirate replies with a content expression as he remembers your smile, which soften Jimbei’s eyes glad to see his friend happy.

Falling in love with you was what least he expected in his adventures on the sea, but it’s what he’s the happiest about. He found someone he loves and love him back, and that itself is something that he still finds difficult to believe. It seems that everything is too good to be true. Good friends, a nice family and a beautiful soul as his girlfriend. What more can he asks for? So he deals with the teasing because at the end of the day, it’s in his arms that you sleep, it’s your heart that he owns.

-So, Jimbei what brought you here so far from home…

Whitebeard starts as he put down the bottle of sake and stares deeply into the man in front of him. Jimbei lower his head for a moment, collecting his thoughts, before taking a big breath and looking at the old man.

-Kano High Club…

A silence fall on the deck as they wait for Jimbei to continue, but the anger that he feels is well felt to the others. Everyone’s expression darken as they expect to hear the worse.

-…An exotic pleasure district on a small Island named Kawala. With heaven-like scenery focused on the beauty of the sea and the hot weather, hundreds of women are abducted and brought to that island to work as slaves…

Jimbei tighten his fists that are resting on his thighs.

-Couple weeks ago, a group of pirates arrived at Fishmen Island and kidnapped multiple mermaids even while well-knowing the possible implications of dealing with an island under an Emperor protection. I believe that like multiple empty-headed pirates, they think nothing will happen to them if it doesn’t affect financial benefits.

-Tell us who they are !! We are going to beat them up!

-No one mess with Pops name !

A young men with black hair yell angry and it’s soon supported by other screams and angry comments. Whitebeard lift his hand to bring the silence back so Jimbei can continue, which is automatically brought.

-With my crew, we did our own investigation, believing we could probably bring the girls back without bothering anyone.. but the things we saw there was almost at the Celestial Dragon behaviour… the place is highly secured with guards all around the island, the plaza and mansion. Although the security might be lighter inside the club and house, probably not trying to scare away the guests…

-So the security is highly tightened at the entrance, making it almost impossible to enter, but once you’re in, there is a chance.

Ace says bringing everyone’s attention to him.

-Exactly. A family member of one of the victim decided to risk it and she sold herself to the island. She’s able to help us gain information. It’s hard to contact her, but it’s because of her that we collected valuable information.

Jimbei looks down again remembering the bravery of that young girl who was willing to lose her life to save her older sister. She was willing to do anything to help them, disregarding anything concerning her security. The pain held inside that body was a representation of the harsh reality where kids a felt the need the grow up fast to survive.

-As much as I wished we didn’t have to involve no one to endure this mess, she has been of high help and we can’t let all her efforts and pain go to waste!

-Jimbei

Whitebeard gaze is heavy and dark as he stares at him.

-We are going to show those idiots who they decided to mess with.

His deep voice echoes and its seriousness almost terrifies as each of his words feels heavy.

-We are just going to need all the information you have so we can plan a solid plan-oi!

-Then we will crash this island and save everyone stuck there!

Ace adds to Marco with a serious stare. Jimbei smiles a little satisfied that he knew he could count on them. Somehow he felt reassured that he will be able to hold his promise to this young adult who jumped eye closed all to save her sister, and bring an end to this hell of island.
