i realize that even though i explicitly state that i won’t ever write minor characters because ew im not a pedo, that some people not know or understand that my GOM posts are them grown and in basketball professionally. so i will be saying that right here right now. for all of my GOM posts they are grown and play basketball with the NBA professionally. i won’t often write them in college but if i do it will be explicitly stated, but otherwise they are always written as grown and in the NBA

is it just me or do even the black writers need to stop writing for black readers. for some reason, all they do make y/n this low key hypersexual, down for everything, overly confident while being submissive when it comes to her man. tokyo revengers boys and their preference of cats or dogs. feat. hanma shuji, kisaki tetta, ken "draken" ryuguji, kakucho. author's notes: happy to do a part 2 if you guys want more characters! this is all i could think of right now. i'll need some inspo though ;)

HANMA is definitely the type to have a heavy-set dog, some sort of guard dog. Not to mention, he wouldn't tell you or warn you he has one until you get back from a long work trip, one that's kept you away for several months, unfortunately. You'd walk into his apartment and see a huge black wire crate in the walkway, and not even be able to ask a question before a massive ton of muscle tackles you to the floor with an 'oof'. You're finally able to take a look at the monstrosity in front of you, and you see the pretty black eyes of a Cane Corso staring back, tail wagging so hard his whole body seems to be moving with it.

"Shuji!" you yell, "Did you seriously get a dog while I was gone?"

Your partner rounds the corner, finally, pushing his glasses up onto his forehead as he grins at you, before clicking his tongue in a specific pattern. The dog answers almost instantly, stepping back from you and sitting on his haunches, sliding into work mode so smoothly you'd never have thought he'd tackled you moments ago.

Hanma helps you up, of course, helps get your bags inside and all that. When you ask him how he trained the dog (his name is Rex, by the way), he'd smirk at you before mentioning that he used one of your shirts that you'd recently worn to help him remember your scent.

I like to think KISAKI has a very pretty cat, like a Maine Coon. It's very particular about where it eats and what it eats, as well; it'll only eat when you're sitting next to her eating your own dinner, and needs to have you near her at all times because she has no concept of object permanence. Her name is something elegant, like Madeline.

You'll find him watching the cat camera at work often if you spot him staring at his computer with an expression much unlike the standard scowl he usually has. He'll watch her for hours, playing around with the toys he's gotten her, or lounging on the couch.

He takes her for regular groomings, and he clips her nails himself. She's quiet, which is unusual for a Maine Coon, but she has her chirping moments where you swear she can understand you when you talk to her. He addresses her like she's a human, as well. One time, when she looked as though she'd leap onto the television, he'd looked at her with a sigh and said "Madeline, darling, I don't believe that choice will pan out well for you or me", and she'd actually changed her mind after giving a half-hearted chirp at him.

She always takes her place on the couch nestled up next to him after a hard day, with you on his other side. His two favorite things in the world, he always says.

Something tells me that DRAKEN owns a rescue; that man could never have just one or two dogs. Specifically, they're pitbulls or bully types, rescued from fighting rings and rehabilitated. You'd gotten the job of handling reception and processing the dogs, and it never got old to see Draken dragging in an old male pitbull, seeing him snarl and nip at Draken's hands as the man laughs, pressing a kiss to his head and then darting away quickly as his teeth quickly follow him.

That same old dog with the scars on its face becomes Draken's best friend. He follows him everywhere; he even gets the dog a vest to wear, marking him as a permanent resident after he fails several fosters for various reasons. it's clear that he's happy here, with Draken and you taking care of him, and he's made that abundantly clear. Draken names him Diesel, to match his own nickname. "Draken and Diesel," he says to himself one day as he's standing in the office, giving the dog the best belly rubs of his life, "what a team we are, yeah?"

When some of the newer residents get a little too aggressive with Draken and the rest of his staff, Diesel is always there to push between you and the snapping maw, a warning growl rumbling in his chest as he stands next to the worker, sending a loud BACK OFF vibe to the other dog. They listen, they respect him, and they lay off. Draken rewards him with treats after, of course; Diesel's probably a bit overweight, but Draken calls it his "happy extra pounds" with a chuckle.

Surprisingly, KAKUCHO has a small dog; a dachsund, specifically a merle one. You aren't there for the initial adoption as you're at work, but he gets it for you after a hard day. You'd cried, of course, snot dripping from your nose as you held the tiny pup in your hand, its little pink tongue licking the tears away from your face. He'd beamed at you after, saying this was the first step to building a proper life together.

You'd watched the sweet boy grow up, getting him harnesses to go on walks and buying him some stairs to get up to the bed with you. Kakucho was adamant that he wasn't allowed on the couch, but you'd ignored him, patting the fabric and helping the boy up. You'd named him Biscotti, after those ridiculous airplane snacks, because he made you think of them for some reason.

You loved him enough that you'd gotten him a friend; a golden dachsund, with much longer hair and fluffy ears (who you named Butterscotch, to keep with the snack-focused names). They'd gotten along almost immediately, playing together while you and Kakucho cuddle on the couch, throwing toys and watching their little legs pump underneath them. You'd joked that you'd summon an army of "little lads", and he'd laughed so hard he almost tore an abdominal muscle.
