we all love our gagged whumpees, but the way im automatically won over is when the tiny process of whumpee being gagged is described in very careful detail.

There’s no need to fuck them—just the threats, the light yet dangerous touches, anything to strike terror into the Whumpee—it’s enough for them.

Maybe Whumper describes in detail what they want to do to them.

Maybe they show them an array of tools or toys, explaining what each one does, and could do to them.

Maybe Whumper’s a mind reader and brings Whumpee’s greatest fears to torment them with. Maybe they infiltrate their mind and put horrifying images there, watching Whumpee squirm and cry.

Maybe just the fact that Whumper is enjoying it so much without even touching them is what scares Whumpee the most.

Slipping away

"Whumpee?"

Whumpee's ears perked up. That's Whumper's voice. Calling for…who? For them? But, that's not their name. Maybe Whumper is on the phone with someone. Better not to disturb them. Whumpee continued cleaning the floor with a broom.

"Whumpee?"

Again. Who's…Whumpee??? They never heard that name before. They don't even like how the name ring to their ears. It's not suited for someone like them. It's more suited to someone with a happy and cheery personality.

Whumper sighed. "Whumpee, fucking come here now…"

Whumpee stayed still at their spot. Whumper let out a frustrated groan before they walked over to Whumpee. The disdain in their eyes was clear as day. They grabbed Whumpee's collar harshly,

"I called for you and you have the nerve to ignore me?!" Whumper tighten their hold. Whumpee looked up at them in confusion. Whumper was... calling for them?

"I-I'm sorry…I…I didn't know…"

Whumper raised an eyebrow. "You didn't know what?" Whumpee's lips trembled in fear. "That you were calling f-for…for me…" Long silence as Whumper stared at Whumpee's face intently. "You…didn't know?" Whumpee shook their head. 

"No…"

"Huh..." Whumper let go of Whumpee's collar and stepped back. They were not sure whether they should be proud or not that they managed to make Whumpee forgot their own name. All those pet names really got into them, huh?

"Whumpee, what is your name?" Whumper inquired. Reading Whumpee's expression and body language silently. They saw them hesitating for a moment. 

Why does Whumper keep calling me that? Whumpee blinked their eyes a few times. "Why do you call me—"

"Just answer the question, sweetheart."

Whumpee pondered for a few seconds. They were not sure what answer could satisfy their owner. Whumper raised their eyebrows when Whumpee lifted their head and looked at them.

"Um...pet?" 

Whumper chuckled, "Your name is 'pet'? Are you for real?"

Whumpee fidgeted with their fingers in slight panic. "T-then, darling? O-or sweetheart? Um…slave? Stupid little thing—"

"Shh…darling. You know those aren't your name. Try again, dear." Whumper leaned back on the sink behind them, watching Whumpee struggling to remember their own name. Their lips formed a small, comforting smile that let Whumpee knows that they won't be punished even if they got it wrong again.

Silence enveloping them for a long moment. Whumper sighed, still smiling as they walked towards Whumpee. "You don't know, right? Your name…" Whumper leaned down so their face would meet Whumpee's directly. "Or you can't remember it, hm?"

Whumpee's fingers curled up slightly. They really couldn't remember it, their own name. How awful is that? Almost like they never had one before. Whumpee shook their head,

"I-I can't…"

Whumper cupped Whumpee's face, looking at their eyes. With a gentle tone, Whumper said,

"Then, let me ask you again…" Whumper smiled. "What is your name, Whumpee?" Whumper let their words sank into Whumpee's mind for a moment. Enjoying the look on their face as their eyes widen in realisation. "O-oh…"

Whumpee swallowed, "...Whumpee is my…name." Whumper nodded as they looked at them proudly before they kissed their cheek.

"Correct, ten marks for my baby." 

Whumper stood up straight again, ruffling Whumpee's hair. "So, if I called you by your name again, would you come for me?" Whumpee immediately nodded.

"Y-yes, Master…"

Whumper grabbed their face before squeezing Whumpee's cheeks. "No ignoring me again? You promise me that?"

"I-I promise…!"

"Good. Now, continue doing your job. No slacking off, slave." 

"Y-yes, Master!"

Whumper left Whumpee alone in the kitchen. They continued their work but this time, they couldn't stop smiling from joy. They really have a name. Whumpee kept repeating it for the rest of the day, scared of forgetting it again.

Prompt #11: Random Whump Scenarios

Just a few whump scenarios on the mind that I’m too busy (*cough* lazy) to write. No plot, just vibes. Feel free to use.

1. Jaw Wired Shut - medical/lab whump. Whumper wires their test subject’s jaw shut to stop them from biting, speaking or screaming. Maybe add a glue that wears off in a few hours.

2. Iron Man - Captive locked in an iron coffin that is shaped to their body. Arms, legs, head perfectly fitted in a solid suit of metal with only a window for their eyes.

3. Layered Gag - Whumper excessively silences their captive by stuffing a rag in their mouth, tying a bandana over it, taping their lips shut, and finishing it off with a locked muzzle.

4. Lassoed - Bad guy lassos the hero, catching their torso and pinning their arms to their sides. Drags them around a bit before throwing the rope over a tree branch or bar, hauling them up and tying off the rope. Hero dangles in free air kicking and writhing in humiliation.

5. Exhausted Hero - A hero’s rouge’s gallery intentionally works together to wreak havoc around the city to wear out the hero. Hungry and exhausted, hero makes mistakes and is nearly killed until their team or another hero swoops in to help.

6. Building an Immortal - Mad scientist replaces lab rat’s organs with machinery to create an immortal cyborg.

7. Man in the Iron Mask - A noble’s doppelgänger steals their identity and stows them away in the dungeon while hiding their identity behind a locked iron mask.

8. Suspended Prisoner - A dangerous prisoner is kept in a large cell, wrapped in chains, locked in a tiny cage, or strapped in a harness as they dangle over an abyss by a hook.

9. Adhesive - Kidnapped by a mad scientist, hero or spy is tied up and submerged into a vat of mysterious liquid. The substance dries like candle wax when exposed to air. Only another liquid the scientist invented can melt it.

10. Abandoned Asylum - Reporter or blogger explores an abandoned asylum, but feels they are being watched the entire time. A heavy blow knocks them out and they wake up to find there is one driven-mad doctor left, and they are trapped as their new patient.

give me Whumper who tries to make amends but Whumpee is too afraid to think that this new behaviour isn't anything more than one twisted joke; a trick, an excuse to punish them more. give me Whumper who tries to make Whumpee feel safe, who tries to restore the light in their eyes, but to absolutely no avail.

because every kind action they do is met with quiet resistance, with fearful eyes, with flinching, with shrunken shoulders, with lowered gazes and a bowed head.

give me Whumper stuck in this vicious cycle of being drowned by guilt while Whumpee is stuck waiting for more pain, for more punishments and is only met with affection that they don't know what to do with.

One of the biggest tingles I get from whump is when there are great descriptions of the sounds a whumpee makes. Here's some alternatives for common words that can get overused when they reoccur a lot, like "scream," "sob," and "gasp."

Words for Whumpee sounds:

Long sounds:

Shriek, squeal, screech, roar, bellow, yell, wail, howl, groan, moan, heave, retch, whimper, keen, whine

Short sounds:

Yelp, yip, mewl, gulp, squeak, cry out, shout, exclaim, protest, whisper, utter, bleat, gag, choke

Breathing sounds:

Rasp, gurgle, splutter, puff, pant, wheeze, huff, hitch

Phrases for Whumpee Sounds:

There are so many good ones! But most the time the key is picking your adjective. Overused words can be revamped this way to convey something more nuanced. There's a big difference between when someone screams three times in a scene versus them letting out a fearful scream, a frustrated scream, and then a pained scream. Adjectives also determine intensity. A fearful scream could escalate into a terrified scream, or a scream of anticipation.

Some examples of sound phrases include labored breathing, hitched breathing, weary groans, pained cries, absent moans, a panicked squeal, desperate whines...

There are so many great phrases that give me whumperflies, I might do a part 2 on this one.
