The Allnighter (1987). An unapologetically 80's teen beach blanket bangle that stars Susanna Hoffs and crams in quite a few familiar faces - including Joan Cusack and my favourite Deathstalker, the legendary John Terlesky.
It's a coming-of-age comedy with youthful characters looking into the precipice of change that never quite reaches similarly Crowe or Hughesian heights. But I dig the B beach blanket movie vibe. I think it firmly belongs on the shelf with Reality Bites, Ferris Bueller's Day Off or Can't Hardly Wait.
