It was 1am. @matejmervinsky and I were just driving home from an assignment in Zermatt. Dead tired from the weeklong shoot we didn‘t feel like shooting more photos. The milkyway was in the perfect spot though so we decided to get this nightshot of the hotel. Totally worth it. From my experience I can tell that when perfect opportunities like this one just happen, they need to be taken, even if it means tweaking plans a little bit. I just know too good that when I plan to do shots like this it‘s so much more work to wait for the milkyway, the moonphase and the weather to lign up and then going to the spot over and over again can be a long and frustrating process. Last year I went on a long hike up to Cassons and saw multiple ibexes. I didn‘t have my camera with me though so I wasn‘t able to capture any good image of them. Now on a trip to Ticino I found them again in a spot where I would have expected them the least, just next to the road.
