Find a secure locking point on your scooter, and always use a U-lock
Here’s our complete guide for how to lock your electric scooter, what lock you should use, and the best (and worst) places to lock your scooter.
Because most electric scooters weigh under 23 kg and can easily fit in a car or be rolled away, it’s important to lock up your scooter whenever leaving it unattended.
Although there are many types of locks that you can use for an electric scooter, including built-in electronic alarms, the only lock type that we recommend are high-security U-locks, specifically the Kryptonite New York U-lock series.
Tumblr media
The best lock you can get for your scooter is the one that fits. To properly size a lock, you’ll need to take a look at your scooter and identify secure locking points. Secure locking points are made from sturdy material or attachments that can’t easily be unscrewed or broken. Bulky scooters may require larger locks to slip through the scooter and still be able to reach a fixed point (e.g., pole or bike rack). The best locations on your scooter for locking are: 1) around the stem, 2) through the folding mechanism, 3) and through the carrying handle (though look out for easily removed screws!). Some locations that you shouldn’t use are: 1) through wheels that can be unbolted, 2) around handlebars or 3) through removable or weak points, like fenders or bolted-on accessories.
Tumblr media
Purchase a high-quality U-lock that is appropriately sized for your scooter. U-locks are named from their shape and consist of a U-shaped shackle that locks into a straight crossbar. U-locks vary wildly in terms of security. Some U-locks can be easily cut with bolt cutters in seconds, while others can resist power tools. Quality U-locks are made from hardened steel and will be heavy — typically around 2 kgs. They have a thick shackle and crossbar and will cost around $100. U-locks come in a variety of sizes. Some have longer shackles to make them easier to lock your scooter to harder-to-reach objects. However, you’ll want to purchase the shortest shackle that will fit your scooter as those are more secure. We specifically recommend the New York Kryptonite series of U-locks and U-locks + chains, but ABUS also makes high-quality U-locks.More info to visit this site.Clik here,

Best Helmet for Electric Scooter – For Fast Adult Riders
There are no specific standards from any governing body specifically for electric scooter helmets, though several organizations have laid out helpful guidelines. In this guide, you’ll learn about the helmet safety standards, helmet types for electric scooters, and what you should look for in a helmet.
A helmet is a piece of protective gear worn around the head with the purpose of protecting the skull and brain. Modern electric scooters are fast. We regularly test ones capable of exceeding 40 MPH (64 kmh). Combined with the danger of motor vehicles, small tires, and road hazards, a helmet is an absolute necessity when riding an electric scooter.
Tumblr media
However, not all helmets are created equal nor are all appropriate for electric scooters. Though no governing body has established a formal testing standard for e-scooter use, the general consensus is that a standard bicycle helmet is appropriate for low speed riding, while a motorcycle or ebike helmet should be used for higher speeds.
Helmets standards are listed below from order of least to most rigorous, starting with the EN 1078 bicycle helmet standard all the way up to the Snell M-2010 motorcycle helmet standard.
Tumblr media
This is the European bicycle helmet standard and is less rigorous than the US CPSC standard. Though this type of helmet is sold in Europe for bicycle use, they can’t legally be sold in the United States because they do not meet the minimum safety standard.
Full face helmets have a so-called chin bar that extends out from your jawline and provides protection for your entire face.
Why full face helmets? Wearing a standard open face helmet, you could still receive severe face trauma in a crash. This can be in the form of a nose, chin, or teeth injury to name a few. Additionally, in certain types of crashes, impact on your face can also transmit severe forces to your brain. Full face helmets with a chin bar can mitigate these types of injuries.
An important note: Only helmets meeting the ASTM F1952 (downhill), e-bike (NTA-8776), or motorcycle standard (DOT FMVSS 218, Snell M-2005, Snell M-2010) are tested for chin bar strength.More info to visit this site.

Today, we’ll help you pick the best hoverboard under $200. Don’t worry, won’t have to burn a hole in your pocket to get in on the trend.
If you want a hoverboard that goes for less than $200, your range of options is infinite. Since their invention in 2015, the prices of these trendy gadgets have reduced significantly.
The $200 electric self-balancing scooters were all the rage when they first came into the market.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, people soon discovered that most cheaply priced hoverboards were poorly crafted using inferior materials and batteries prone to overheating and causing fires.
This is what caused mistrust of the hoverboard invention on the whole, and it resulted in a massive drop in their sales during 2015. Renowned retailers including Amazon banned the sale of self-balancing scooters on their website for a long period.
In 2016, things started looking better for hoverboard manufacturers thanks to the introduction of UL2272 hoverboard certification. This caused hoverboards to be subjected to stringent standards before they could be deemed safe for use. Although this was good news for hoverboard fans, it also caused their prices to soar for a while.
But in the present day, there are tons of hoverboards that are UL-certified, which means you can find several high-quality models for under $200.More info to visit this site.

First off, it's advertised as ideal for beginners and kids (aged 7 and up). Why? It's easy to learn how to ride and has a limited max speed and load capacity, 9.6 kph (6 mph) and 75 kg (165 lb) respectively.
We've found that more experienced riders love the XPRIT too - which is rare for a budget hoverboard.
