Using Google Calendar

So, last year is when I really started using Google Calendar, and this year, as a grad student now, I am using it more than ever!

Some simple tips that help me make the most of this tool are:

make a billion calendars

colour code things to make you happy and for aesthetic

write notes and use the location feature so I'm never going to the wrong boardroom/classroom

use it to remind me to take breaks!

So I use ~10 calendars so I can colour things distinctly and make sure I am organized (Having everything on one calendar isn't streamlined), and it helps so much!

Next, I use pretty hex colours to make it appealing and calming--no messy chaos to make me feel overwhelmed! (This site is a great palette generator and where I got my colours from!)

And lastly, I specifically block out things like reading or going to the gym so that I do them, but also so I have already made the time for those things, and I'm not fitting them in where I can. This way, my routine is solid and doesn't change much.
