I was going to make a joke about there being nothing comforting about funger but that's just blatantly untrue. the titular god of fear and hunger said it herself - "there is comfort in this darkness that can be used to usher in something new"

f&h is ultimately a game about love and loss. cahara, ragnvaldr and d'arce all entered the dungeon for love, and an argument could be made for enki having done so as well - if nothing else, for a love of knowledge

in termina complete strangers help each other when actively being pit against each other. you can risk life and limb (literally) for strangers you've just met. you can save everyone else at the cost of yourself. you can choose love.

loving whispers uses caring words to return life to battered bodies. magna-medicinal is an offering of a piece of yourself in exchange for the return of another. marriage is a union, however profane, that heals wounds nothing else could.

amidst all these horrors, all this darkness and violence, there's always love. it always remains. and it doesn't always win, but it's always there - and that means something.

I just finished my first f&h termina playthrough, took me ~20h and got ending B, i feel so weird now. Best hours of my life.

Now i will go and try to save everyone, because killing them broke my heart in a million little pieces :(
