hi small announcement i'm gonna push back the prompt reveal date by a week sorry 😭 monday the 29th it will happen for real

the form is officially closed now, thank you so much for all the responses!! i will (tentatively) have the final prompt list and dates and stuff up next week on april 22 (it's finals season)

responses to a couple questions:

a concern about running out of time to participate; there'll be at least 3 months from the time prompts are posted to the event starting, and late entries will be accepted indefinitely! so don't worry if you miss the actual week, and even if you can only make one day i would be overjoyed to see your work

and one suggestion for the event to be held close to shuichi's birthday; i appreciate the idea but the last saimatsu week i know of that ran from 2021-2023 had the day seven prompt as shuichi's birthday, so i wanted to do something different! and most of you voted for august

#i hope that doesnt come across like shade @ rae for the saimatsu weeks he modded he's awesome #i just didn't wanna copy any of his prompts lol #but anyway i'm rlly happy for the warm reception ty everyone for the nice words and excitement :D

Hi! I was wondering, are you only going to do this Saimatsu week on Tumblr or are you going to reveal it on Instagram, Twitter. Etc?

it'll only be on tumblr but feel free to post your pieces anywhere else you want!

#i realize this limits the event a little bit but the last saimatsu week i know of #was run on twt/insta exclusively and it was less than a year ago #i figured i'd do one for tumblr since it looks like there hasnt been one here for a while #plus this is my first time ever modding an event and i dont know if i have the time and energy rn to run multiple accounts #starting small! and i'm most comfortable using tumblr #ask

thank you so much for 349 responses!! i'm kinda blown away by that level of engagement - a good amount of you responded favorably to joining or maybe wanting to join, and generally lots of you want this to happen! and i do too

please be patient with me while i'm finishing up my last semester of college but more on this will come soon! next up will be a poll to choose prompts, see you there!
