I actually can not believe that I’m writing this right now, but my first album “Block It Out” will be released to the world on December 18th. I have worked so incredibly hard on this album, and I’m so so excited that I can finally talk about it! I had no idea how much work and time goes into making an album, and the experience has truly humbled me as a musician. This truly is a DIY album - between writing, recording, editing, making artwork, I am exhausted after a solid three years of work. Thank you to literally EVERYONE for being so patient with me. It’s not a perfect album by any means, but I love it more than anything in the world, and I hope you will too. Hi! Wow, this is crazy! It is 12:10am and I am high on an edible that I thought I broke in half, but now I can’t remember.....but it is wild to be back on tumblr. I genuinely can not remember the last time I was on here. It feels way less anxious and more slower (more slower? That’s not a phrase) on here compared to other platforms, which is what we all need right now. Plus, there are probably less republicans on here. I was on “goodreads” the other day, and thought how nice it was to be on a website where you didn’t feel like some news, drama, or world event was going to smash into your brain at any second. It feels good as hell on here right now. 

 Oh shit, do I need an intro? Do you know who I am? I’m lame as fuck, but my name is Kurt Roy and my band is called Sea Salt! I live in Seattle. I have an album coming up, and I’ve made this tumblr to post about things I do with my music that don’t fit into the right categories on FB and IG (Booo). Other platforms are just giant sweet brag fests now, and they can sometimes seem so braindead. I’ll still use em, but I hope you can join me here. 

I have another tumblr (@kurt-is-a-roy), but honestly I have not gone through my old posts. There might be some cringe/bad opinions left over from high school on here I need to go through.
