Yesterday my wife had her carpal tunnel surgery, and when we checked in the lady at the front desk was a sweet older asian lady who clearly spoke her mind and she kept praising the doctors, and she kept looking up at me saying I looked cool. the thing is the other two clerks were being blatantly rude and making snide comments to each other about people who were rightfully anxious given they were having surgery today, so I was trying to emit a vibe of 'I will not put up with that shit if it happens over here' and instead the lady had me standing there like
