Do we see this happening for Tumblr? Substack and other newsletter platforms like beehiv are extremely popular as they feel more personal to creators and also foster greater creative control compared to Instagram. Fostering community is key for creators and Instagram seems to be struggling with that at the moment. Everyday an account I follow exclaims that their posts and or stories aren’t having their standard reach. Pivoting to a newsletter or at least including one in your arsenal is very smart and brands are equally as smart to notice this shift and to get on board early.

I love Tumblr because I can get my thoughts out and just assume people appreciate them or understand them. I do sometimes crave more interaction but I’m satiated for now.

Let me know if you would even want tumblr to take the route? Or do we want to keep this a safe space to write, post, and scream into the void?
