When you started dating Hook you knew that you’d still be finding out new things about him all the time despite being friends for a few years. One thing you learned quickly was that when he was really high he giggled a lot. Which you couldn’t help but find so cute given his normal grumpy and quiet attitude, today was no different. After you returned from the gym and got your shower Hook was already outside on the balcony half a joint hanging from his lips. Sitting in the chair beside him you smile waiting for his attention.

“Having fun getting baked over there babe?”

“Absolutely and there’s some for you too if you want.”

He grinned, reaching over and handing you the joint which you took placing between your lips and inhaling. The familiar burn and warmth filled you as you held it for a few seconds then slowly let it out blowing the smoke above your head. Passing it back you turned your head watching as his eyes scanned the horizon.

“How long you been out here?”

“About twenty minutes I just needed a break from everything so I figured might as well light a joint.”

The two of you sat in silence for a few minutes just enjoying each other’s presence and then that was when the giggling started.

“I can’t believe Jay actually fell down the steps he’s so lucky the mat was there otherwise his face would have smashed the floor.” “Well that’s unfortunate.”

You joked feeling a drop of rain on your face, standing you stretched turning towards your smiley boyfriend.

“We better head inside it’s about to rain I just felt a drop.”

“I don’t care a little rain isn’t going to hurt anything.”

Just like that the skies opened pouring rain down on the two of you, Tyler stood up and held his arms out letting the rain soak his hoodie and hair.

“We should go down.”

He spoke suddenly and took your hand pulling you back inside and out your hotel door, stopping just long enough for you to grab the key. Taking the elevator down three floors, you walked through the lobby and out to the side courtyard. Together the two of you danced in the rain, chasing each other while getting soaked to the bone. Tyler’s grabbed you hand and pulled you close holding your face in his hands. His own was covered in water, cheeks flushed from laughing and the cool air. His lips pressed to yours a few times before he covered your face in small kisses.

“I love you y/n.”

“I love you too Tyler, we should get warm though we’re going to get sick and Tony won’t be happy about that.” The smile on his face made your heart so happy, every giggle he let out as he tried to catch raindrops made you laugh.

“Yeah, you’re probably right but we can change and cuddle while watching a movie maybe even order something to eat?”

“Sounds perfect.”

Kissing his cheek, you lead the way this time back inside calling apologizes to the hotel staff as you dripped rainwater everywhere. Finally making it back up to your room, both of you grab a towel drying off and changing. Him into a pair of boxer and you into a shirt of his and underwear. Crawling into bed you were pulled to his side. His lips pressed soft kisses all over your face until you were laughing.

“What are you doing?”

“Listening to you laugh I love the sound.”

“I could say the same thing about you.”

You smiled stroking his cheek as he grinned before kissing you again his soft laughs filling your ears.  It was moments like this away from work, and the world where he could truly just be happy that made you thankful for this life you got to live with him.
